IN THIS LIFE I CHOSE TO BE A VILLAIN

"Brother What are you two talking about?"

Aira's question interrupted us, realizing our position we both backed down at the same time and to step out of this embarrassing situation I said, "Aira what took you so long, anyway come here quickly before the food gets cold".

Our lunch was pretty fun Witira seemed to like Aira and both talked a lot

After lunch we both stepped into my study,

it was spacious and racks filled with books befitted it's title as a study, and an attached balcony providing beautiful scenery completed it.

Taking a seat witira turned to me and said "I have to say, you got a good taste".

I smiled modesty and said"Well thanks for the complement"

Witira turned serious and said"Before starting with the interrogation I would like to ask something, previously your sister referred to someone as bad brother, was it Siddharth"

I nodded

She nodded at my answer and taking out a small notebook and a pen she said

"Since your sister called him so casually, can I say that you two have known each other for a long time, and may be things happened straining your friendship, turning both of you into enemies, and this enmity led Siddharth kidnapping you".

Maintaining a normal expression I said "No, I didn't know a person named siddarth was in my class till this morning"

Witira was surprised by answer and said"If you didn't know him, how come Aira called him a bad brother"

I said

"Both Aira and I met Siddarth yesterday and if you ask why Aira called him bad brother, brother because of his age and bad because of his actions, there is no friendship angle in it"

"Oh okay! But if you met Siddharth yesterday how was he labelled 'bad', and why did he kidnap you?"

I explained the course of events from my sister's request to his death and yeah my words were a complete mixture of Truths and lies

Sometimes water can be separated from milk but separating lies from truth is next to impossible.

"What was the need to hit him, you could have complained, and the respective authority would have taken action there was no need for you to get involved"

Her question was ridiculous, she and I both knew 'it was her way of testing my character', I didn't know why she decided to test my character but not wanting to disappoint her I said,

"Miss Witira I didn't expect you to ask such a ridiculous question, I mean If you want me to just stay still and do nothing when a person is harassing someone else in front of my eyes then I am sorry but this not my cup of tea"

After giving my answer I was sincerely hoping her to be satisfied, and my prayers seemed to work as she asked her next question

"According to you, Sarkars didn't bother leaving you even after the ransom amount was transferred"
