NOVEL NEXT Chapter 13: Sudden Change
In my bedroom, sitting on my bed while looking at kriti I said "Kriti everything was according to the plan but how did the police officer who was supposed to be in charge of our case change suddenly?".
Visibly tensed by my question kriti said "Sorry Master there was an accident this evening and at least 20 people died, so that officer was sent there, and this officer named Witira took our case".
"Oh if that's the case, make sure to be extra careful with your statements also ask deva to do the same, and one more thing I need you to get Witira history within 15 minutes, now move".
Seeing that kriti was hesitating in saying something I said "say it kriti, you have other works to do, and I don't intend to spend whole night staring your face" nodding her head she said "Master your head, it's bleeding if you don't mind I would like to dress it"
...Then I remembered removing my bandage and covering my wound by scattering my hairs, before entering the Oberoi mansion it was primarily because I didn't want my sister to know anything about it. But being reminded of the bleeding now, I am sure that my objective of removing this bandage wasn't achieved.
Thinking about it and sighing I said "fooling one's family is not easy even if it's a kid" understanding the underlying meaning of my words kriti said "but master, madam didn't ask anything about it" shifting my gaze towards kriti who was dressing the wound on my head I said "Kriti not asking doesn't mean that Aira doesn't know, you remember she touched my forehead earlier she should have learned it then"
After dressing my wound kriti bought the information related to Witira, before ordering her to go back I asked "Kriti did you transfer the money" without lifting her head she said "Yes master it was transferred" satisfied by her answer I nodded and asked her to go back.
Tomorrow is going to be fun Witira I will be waiting for you.
The night fell....
The next morning was as usual Aira went to school and I stayed at home, but I didn't cover my injury like yesterday and patiently waited for the arrival of police.
However, to my surprise police didn't contact me, but that didn't mean I let my guard down.
It was around 12: 30am Witira reached our gate.
