In Another World as a…Bus Driver?

Third person POV

 A few days after their meeting with Jan Husten of Rane Town, the Zale Valleys, Russell and his friends are eating out at a tavern in Marewell Town, Geran Dukedom in the Southern Plains. It was late afternoon, and Nathan was with them, eating and drinking. Russell had some Fried Mutton with Mashed Potatoes while his party had their own meals of their choice. Their beverages are clean, with cool water and some light beer bottles. The group was eating after a hard day of work and completing a quest in a forest in the eastern part of the Zale Valleys, eating out at the coastal town as a reward for their hard work. After their meal, Russell toasted his beer drink with his party. "Cheers!" all of them said, before drinking up.

Adrian was with them because of the quest.

Janet was with them, too, after Russell stopped at Garion City to ask her if she wanted to go with them to eat out.

 Janet told them that the final summer exams had been successful, and two-thirds of her students had passed them with good to high scores.

 Russell and his group were happy to hear that, and they congratulated the students who studied hard to pass the exams and earn their summer vacation.

 After drinking their beverages, Russell explained to Janet about his and his group's meeting with Jan a few days ago, including about him and his previous life and identity. Janet was surprised. "Oh, so that guy was an ice cream vendor both in his previous and this life?" Nathan then nodded. "Yes, senorita, Jan also can use his Frost ability to freeze enemies on their feet. That young man was an ice mage, too."

 "Oh…"

 "Yup!" Russell happily responded, before ordering another bottle of beer.

But the young bus driver drank another third, then a fourth, and finally, finished his sixth glass of light beer, much to the shock of his group.

 "Finally, that was some good beer…" Russell said while putting the glass down and wiping his mouth with his left hand.

But the weird thing is that Russell didn't get drunk.

 So, after parting ways with Nathan and going to Garion City to stay at Janet's place for the night, Russell was driving his bus with his group inside when drunkenness from consuming six glasses of beer didn't affect his driving in the early night. Janet was astonished, explaining to her friends the side effects of drinking before driving. Adrian and the others were shocked and feared that Russell might get drunk while driving. But surprisingly, 5 minutes passed, 10 minutes passed, and then 15 minutes passed, and Russell didn't show any signs of drunkenness, as if he was resistant to it.

 So, when all of them arrived at Janet's home in Garion City at 7:03 p.m., Russell said to them, "We're here, guys." But upon looking at his friends, his friends were concerned for him.

 "Um, what's wrong, guys?" Russell asked them with a puzzling look on his face.

 "Did you just drink 6 glasses of beer 1 and a half hours ago, right?" Adrian asked him.

 "Yeah?"

 "Did you know that drinking before driving can be fatal?" Janet asked back.

Russell said yes and realized that in shock. "Wait, what?"

 "Yes, and it seemed that you didn't show any signs of being drunk at all while driving along the way," Rai responded back. "Are you okay?"

 "Yes, I am…but how come I am not drunk at all?"

 And then, the Renad system screen popped up before Russell and informed Russell that his body was resistant to alcohol's side effects and alcohol poisoning, allowing him to drink without getting drunk at all. That unique ability was rare, and only a handful of Renads can have that upon reincarnation.
