Chapter 211: Desert of Fallen.

After the battle with the beast tide, the Thousand Wealth Chamber caravan traveled peacefully through the Silent Creek Forest.

The previous ominous atmosphere was now replaced with serenity. The wind encompassed their bodies like a second skin, soothing them inside out.

Looking at the calm and beautiful forest, the guards couldn't help but shiver at the terrifying force hiding under the façade.

If they were like any ordinary force, they would have become food and nutrients for the forest.

Two days later, the Thousand Wealth Chamber caravan came out of the Silent Creek Forest, entering a sparse plain mostly filled with rocks.

Racing through the plain, the humid atmosphere brought a fresh sight to them. They traveled for another four hours before they rested and let the Cloud Horse Chase recover.

Swiftly, they departed after their short rest. To Mo Jian, they had already wasted a lot of time in the Silent Creek Forest, and they couldn't afford to wait any longer.

As the journey continued through the rocky plain, the guards saw another caravan in the distance.

"Young Master, we found another caravan in the distance," Old Withered Man reported through the Spirit Link.

"Alright. Let's see how they react toward us," Mo Jian responded.

Without reducing their speed, they approached the caravan. In the distance, the caravan had also spotted the Thousand Wealth Chamber caravan.

They were outside, relaxing their bones and enjoying the fresh air when they spotted the incoming caravan.

Instantly, the calm and peaceful atmosphere shifted. On this route, the most dangerous thing was the humans.

Their guards, clad in metal armor, stood vigilant as the Thousand Wealth Chamber closed the distance.

"My Lord, what should we do?" the guard captain asked, looking at the middle-aged man who was the leader of the caravan.

The middle-aged man was surrounded by two pretty ladies dressed in revealing clothing.

"Of course, we're going to stop them and have a chat with them," he replied unceremoniously.

He squeezed the buttock of one of the beautiful ladies as if it was nothing as he continued speaking.

"We're about to enter the Desert of Fallen. You all know how terrifying that is. So, if we could make more friends to survive the desert, that would be better."

The guard captain opened his mouth to speak, but the words failed to come out. He knew how their master was.

His thoughts were simple and he would make friends everywhere he goes. Besides, he's right.

The Desert of Fallen was a dreadful place, and their caravan might not survive it if they ventured alone into the desert.

Slowly, the Thousand Wealth Chamber caravan closed the distance and arrived within the range of the new caravan.

Just as the caravan prepared to bypass them, some of the guards gestured to them to slow down.

Seeing this, a deep frown appeared on Old Withered Man's face. Quickly, he passed the information to Mo Jian.

A few seconds later, the Thousand Wealth Chamber caravan began to slow down. They stopped a couple of meters from the unknown caravan while the guards had their hands on the hilts of their weapons.

Feeling the terrifying aura from the Thousand Wealth guards, guards from the new caravan forcefully swallowed the lumps in their throats.

Against such a force, their puny strength meant nothing. Instantly, the guards looked at their leader.

Feeling their bone-piercing gazes, the unbothered expression on the middle-aged man was gone and replaced by seriousness.

'If I knew they had such a strong force, I wouldn't have stopped them,' he cried in his heart.

Taking a deep breath, he stepped forward and walked toward the guards seated on the Cloud Chase Horse.

"Friends, why don't you stop and take a rest and we can discuss how to cross the Desert of Fallen together?" he said, forcing out his best smile.

However, the Thousand Wealth Chamber guards' cold, chilling eyes bore into him without flinching.

Under their terrifying gazes, the middle-aged man felt his spine drenched in cold sweat.

Although he was an intermediate Core Refining realm warrior, against the battle-hardened warriors, he knew he stood no chance.

Just as he felt he might be swallowed alive, one of the carriage doors was pushed open and a young man dressed in an expensive black silk robe embroidered in golden dragons stepped out.

Mo Jian approached the frozen middle-aged man and smiled. "Thank you for your invitation."

"We're from the Southern Region Thousand Wealth Chamber, nice to meet you."

"Hahaha. It's nice to meet a fellow brother. We're from the Northern Region Evernight Treasure Hall," the man flashed a bright smile. "I'm Peng Bo, their leader."

"Mo Jian."

After the short pleasantries, Peng Bo led Mo Jian to his makeshift gathering. Taking their seats, a servant quickly brewed Mo Jian one of their best teas.

Mo Jian took a sip from the spirit tea and nodded. "Good tea."

"Hahaha. That's one of the specialties of my Evernight Treasure Hall," Peng Bo said, his voice filled with pride.

After talking about casual things, Mo Jian went straight to the point.

"Leader Peng, you mentioned the Desert of Fallen. Can you elaborate a bit?"

When Peng Bo heard this, he was stunned for a moment before a look of realization appeared on his face.

"Ah! It must be your first time traversing this route."

Mo Jian nodded. "Indeed, it's our first time."

Peng Bo took a swig from his wine and began with an air of seriousness mixed with pride.

Compared to a newcomer, he was an experienced merchant who had ventured through the Desert of Fallen many times.

"You might not know. The Desert of Fallen is one of the most dreadful places when you're going to the Central Region."

"For thousands of miles, all you can see is yellow sand, and the scorching temperature will make a Core Refining warrior turn mortal… thirsty every few minutes."

"But these are not what make the Desert of Fallen dreadful. It's the desert scorpions and bone eating worms. And the last one…" His voice trailed off as if he were reminiscing about some dreadful experience.
