After receiving the information from Castle about the successful completion of the mission, I was ecstatic. Now I could only hope that the loss of the rainbow bridge and the uprisings would divert the Allfather's gaze from Earth. Besides, what can backward earthlings do with the masterpiece of the dwarves? It's still convenient when the rest of the cosmos considers your planet weak. I wonder if Odin even knows about the mages and the Ancient One. Thor and Loki didn't. Actually, looking at the events as a whole, there are quite a few questions about the Ancient One. I can understand her non-interference in the world wars. What difference does it make to the protector of the dimension who wins? The Nazis are still human, right? Then there's no problem. But an invasion by the Ice Giants or the Chitauri is a different story. She can see variations of the future, but it's still bullshit. For example, if she removed Star Lord at the right moment, the Thanos problem would have been solved. Also, the Strange situation is pretty funny. In the comics, the ancient one handed him the post because of his age and weakness. But here she's pumping energy from Dormamu and can last another dohrenalion of years. And her death at the hands of her own students looks silly against the backdrop of her vast combat experience and knowledge of the future. Or that now a talented novice who has been training for a couple of years can be compared to a thousand-year-old supreme sorcerer?
-Am I some kind of joke to you? - Magic asked, looking at KVM.
Okay, I'm a little distracted. Now I'm expecting a couple of packets of god's blood to be delivered. Still, I've always wondered about the power of Thor, Odin and Hela. How they got the power to control a single aspect. And while the Allfather's power is not yet so pronounced, his children demonstrate a rather narrowly focused talent. That said, it's not clear how it works, could Thor still be able to hurl lightning bolts as a child and Hel revive corpses? And even given the Allfather's belligerence in his youth, the zombie army of Asgardians is still weird looking. I'd understand if it was made up of a bunch of races from nine worlds. Simply put, it was created and filled by defeated enemies. But no, these are pure-blooded Aesians. And they're the ones who believe that you'll go to Valhalla for serving Odin. Which begs the question, how did he explain his troops returning the souls of his friends to their dead bodies? Or did Hel use her army in secret? The frescoes in Thor 3 showed her and the Allfather on a joint raid. And I don't recall any zombies in the background.
That Odin wiped the memory of all the Asses and destroyed any mention of them is understandable. But before that, did the Aesir know about the royal family's forces? And did he capture Hel because of her lust for power and blood? Or did his daughter simply possess powers too bad for his image. Still, people are more excited about a lightning-throwing prince than a princess who can yank you out of Valhalla after you die and force you to be her puppet. And removing my daughter from the throne quietly wouldn't have worked. She inherited too much from her father. There are also quite a few questions about the yggdrasil. It conveniently binds the very worlds that can't fight back against expansion, the Aesir.
In Muspelheim, there is only Surtur. And as unfortunate as it is to admit, one is not a warrior in the field. Niflheim has no resources in it other than the purest source of water. The same Hella most likely got its name because of its demonstrated powers. And Hel itself has been around for a long time. After the campaigns of Bera and the subsequent campaigns of Odin, only one world besides the earth survived normally. Vanaheim. They became Asgard's food supplier. And made peace through the marriage of Freya and Odin. I think Behr just realised that the Vans' powers were great and their magic unpredictable. So it was only here that he took the more peaceful route.
Everything about Yetunheim is already known. The Icemen were living peacefully, and then one of the Aesir got wind of their casket. And so began a merry expansion. And what a convenient one at that. After all, the bad Icemen learnt interplanetary travel the hard way. And most importantly, where do you think they went? Niflheim, where the conditions are perfect for their race? No no no, they went to take over the earth. So our good Odin decided to save the poor savages on the blue ball. In the process, of course, spreading faith in himself and simply deifying his own kind.
The fate of Svartalfheim was most tragic. It was simply destroyed. The dark elves possessed one of the infinity stones. The Aether allowed them to hide their planet from the light of the sun and other stars. And they slowly but surely increased their holdings. Of course, they wouldn't get much further than their own system. For even the most powerful stone bearer has limits. Except for the Celestials. But those FULCRIM creatures were cheaters. In terms of development, the elves were at the level of the Aesir or even slightly ahead of their technology. Even so, they could do nothing to such a warlike race? Each ace was equal to four or five elves. They fought back as best they could, but the moment they lost the stone was their defeat. Under the light of the stars, their skin began to bake and they slowly died. At the end, Odin's Father even slammed a rainbow bridge into their planet. Baer's fear of the elves' perfect stone bearer genes was too strong.
What became of Yusalfheim I do not know. But with the alves and fairies living there, the options present themselves. If the enemy has no valuable lands and riches, then why start a war? For beautiful women, that's right.
The Asses have a very authentic history. And if you know the truth about their ancestors, Loki's actions could be taken as an attempt to follow in his grandfather's footsteps. Just like the new Star Wars. Hmmm...I wonder if Bera happened to have a horned helmet?
I was distracted from continuing my musings by Frank's courier. After picking up the parcel, I headed towards the housing block. I wasn't going to go to the lab during the day. Jumping up on the mattress, I pulled out a notebook and a pencil and continued drawing a model of the next device. Since that prank, my relationship with my neighbour had become rather cool. The maximum of our dialogues was "hello". And now he said just one word, after which he put on his headphones and became lost to the world.
After waiting until nine o'clock, I was finally able to head to the lab. Most students finish their work at half past ten, and by forty minutes there was no one there. It takes twenty-three minutes to walk from the room to the building, and it takes seven or eight minutes to walk from the guard station to the lab. So I usually come to an empty room. But it looks like today I'm going to meet another lingering colleague. I thought as I approached the door, which had a light above it. Pulling the handle and not getting the expected result, I was puzzled. Usually the lab is always open at this time. It's rare that it's locked during public hours.
There was a sudden increase in the amount of noise in the lab at my attempt to open the door. After rummaging through the pockets of my bag and finally retrieving the ill-fated pass card, I was able to open the door. To my surprise there was no one inside. Only an open window and the remnants of a strange odour spoke of a recent visitor. After looking around the lab and making sure that nothing was missing I decided to turn a blind eye to this strange incident. I would just report it to the head of the department tomorrow.
Right now I was waiting for my experiments.
After spending about five hours in the lab, I was able to collect quite a lot of interesting data. To begin with, the curse of the children of the night did not affect the genes of the Aesir. It simply disintegrated a minute after contact. With human cells, however, amazing things happened. One drop of Thor's blood charged an entire vial of ordinary blood. This caused the cells to begin to disintegrate after only a few seconds. Using many tests and dilutions, I was able to achieve an almost perfect mixing recipe. One drop of Thor per two litres of human.
After taking such a specific stimulant, a person will be pumped. Mild illnesses and injuries will be healed after the first drop. Physical condition will also be slightly improved. Two drops will likely rejuvenate the body and bring his physical state to its peak. The third can both kill and empower beyond human capabilities. Like Captain America.
When I examined the genes themselves, I noticed some pretty significant differences. But the strangest thing was some kind of formation inside the cells. It was too highly evolved. In comparison, it's like finding an echo of a human DNA strand inside a plant. The possibilities of what it could be are many. But the most plausible one I've come up with so far is Yggdrasil. This truly mythical tree gives its powers to Odin, Thor and Hela. Most likely the influence of its powers caused this mutation in the children of the Allfather. The theory I have is that he himself just got a very powerful enhancement. But his descendants were able to mutate and receive a more expanded but specialised channel. If Odin is good at almost everything but 8/10. Then his children in their own directions will be able to achieve 11/10. The link to the tree gave them supernatural talent. It's a shame Thor wasted it on drinking and fighting weak opponents.
The test using my blood showed surprising results. My cells were not about to disintegrate after contact with the god's blood. They fought back with all their might and tried to absorb all the available energy. Realising that they could disintegrate at any moment, I added more of my cells. Then I was able to figure out the approximate absorption rate of my blood. About 500ml per drop.
Deciding that this wasn't a bad booster for my powers I switched on the short term jammer and took a drop. At first nothing happened, but then I was literally overflowing with energy. My whole body tingled pleasantly and it felt like I could run to New York right now. Even the flames were stronger after the summoning. I took the second, then the third, the fourth, the fifth, the sixth, the seventh. I decided not to go any further. Already this amount of Thor's blood had made a dramatic difference. My strength jumped a lot, and my energy reserve for the hellfire increased at least five times. The flames themselves had transformed somehow. I couldn't tell what was different, but it was like it was closer to me. My control had increased a lot.
I couldn't do the rest of the experiments in this state. So I made a logical decision and left the lab and headed for my room.
