“What the hell is she playing at?!”
Rojis, after fleeing from the library, met up with Dian and Teona.
“She had the nerve to say that we couldn’t speak in public! It’s not like I even wanted to talk to her!”
“Hmm. I thought she’d be more flattered that Rojis confessed to her, but Miss Remington is surprisingly calm.”
“Calm? It’s actually pretty weird that she had a contract prepared.”
Their plan had been that Harrymel, believing she had been noticed by the handsome duke’s son, would be more flustered. But instead, she had calmly drawn up a contract with the efficiency of a skilled civil servant.
“Hey, maybe she figured out it was all a lie.”
Teona frowned.
“Do you think she suspected that Rojis was up to something from the moment she was called by him?”
“That’s possible. Miss Remington might be testing whether Rojis’ confession was sincere or a lie.”
“Testing?”
Rojis raised an eyebrow at Dian’s words.
“See, she’s acting that way to see if Rojis will get angry. If he truly likes her, he won’t give up so easily just because she’s a little cold. If he gets angry and stops talking to her, it means he didn’t really like her.”
“She’s suspicious. As expected of a brilliant woman.”
They both agreed with Dian and clicked their tongues bitterly.
“The thought of even approaching such a plain girl irritates me.”
However, if he backed down now, that brilliant woman would undoubtedly mock him, probably saying, “So you weren’t serious after all. Did you think I would fall for it so easily?”
He gritted his teeth.
Well, then, he would make Harrymel Remington fall deeply in love with him, and then he would coldly leave her when she was completely infatuated with him.
Hopefully, she would fall apart from the shock and let her grades slip.
“Dian, Teona. Help me make that woman obsessed with me. I won’t let her say, ‘We can’t speak in public’ ever again!”
Rojis took out the document he had folded into his pocket and crumpled it.
