Chapter 3

Although things didn’t quite go as Rojis had imagined, their relationship had officially started. Probably.

All he had to do now was, as Dian and Teona said, casually flirt and tease her until she was distracted from her studies.

Rojis, who had initially been bewildered by the strange contract, shook off his confusion and began to carry out his original plan.

After lessons had ended, Harrymel always scurried off to study at the library. If he could catch up with her before she entered the library, he could invite her for tea, and she might be too engrossed in the occasion to study.

“Remington, can we talk for a moment?”

He called out to her as she stood up to leave the classroom with the other students.

Harrymel smiled and tried to walk past him without saying a word.

“Hey, wait up.”

“Wait a minute, Remington,” he called out once again.

Without thinking, he grabbed her by the shoulder.

“Lord Rojis, there are still people in the classroom. We can’t talk in front of others, ” she whispered.

She wasn’t wrong. There were still quite a few students left in the classroom.

Thinking she wanted to talk after everyone had left, he let go of her shoulder.

But then she hurriedly bowed and walked out of the classroom without saying another word.

“…Huh?”

Rojis stood frozen for a moment before he hurriedly chased after her.

“Hey, Remington!”

“Lord Rojis, there are many students in the hallway. Please don’t talk to me.”

He continued to follow her, but even when he called out to her, she neither stopped nor turned around.

Eventually, they arrived at the library, where she took a seat and began to spread out her study materials on the table.

Rojis rubbed his temples and stood in front of her.

“We can talk here, Remington.”

The library, as always was quiet and had few people in it after school.

Perhaps she had rushed to the library because she wanted to talk to Rojis in a quiet place away from the crowded classroom. That thought eased his irritation slightly.

“Remington.”

“…”

“Hey, Remington!”

“Lord Rojis, we can’t talk in public.”

He continued to call out to her, but Harrymel repeated the same words with the same attitude.

“What are you talking about? There’s no one around us.”

“There are several people within the shadows of those bookshelves, at the table on the opposite side, and near the entrance. And there’s the librarian at the counter.”

Harrymel said this so casually that Rojis instantly regained his irritation and shouted, “Cut it out!”

His voice echoed throughout the quiet library, causing the students lurking in the shadows of the bookshelves, at the opposite table, and near the entrance to look over.

The librarian at the counter glared at Rojis as if to say, “Be quiet.”

“Ugh…!”

Unable to bear this any longer, Rojis fled the library, leaving Harrymel behind.

“…Phew.”

After he had left, Harrymel let out a small sigh.

“If I keep this up, he’ll get bored eventually.”
