Chapter 200: Britannia, Here We Come!

Arc 4, Chapter 200 — Britannia, Here We Come!

They say Destiny is often a woman in a red dress waving at one seductively.

What Destiny did this First mission for Levon and his group hold?... Well… it seemed that only time would tell…

Outside the Airport, Notchra lowered his glasses as he stared at all 5 who were lazily waiting for him, their expressions as if they had no care in the world for anything.

"My, my…. It's good that you all are smart enough to figure out where to go and where not to." A dark light flickered through Notchra's eyes. Honestly, if he came out and didn't meet them, or found out they had stayed on the plane that was now way up in the skies… let's just say that his so-called friendly demeanor would peel off in an instant.

Actually, what Notchra thought of wasn't uncommon. Right now, there were many newbie groups travelling under the guidance of some lesser ranked slayer, via air, sea or land. That doesn't mean the Slayers would travel in the same unbearable accommodations as they. So if given a rendezvous point and you can't even find your way there, automatically, your first mission is deemed a failure, no questions asked.

Or… are you expecting that during the trip, they'll leave their noise accommodations and go down to your level to keep checking up on you or tell you that you should get off on the next stop, or 2?

Hah!

Ridiculous!

..The disgust level of those who now failed several newbie groups, was incredibly high when seeing that they couldn't even decipher or read or make decisions on their own without being told what to do.

If one fails a First Mission, they must wait for the appropriate time to take it on again.

All in all, Notchra's grin was growing so unnaturally that it made even Levon feel the sensation of a million spiders crawling over his body.

"Come now, our journey isn't quite over yet." Notchra passed between them, his hands in his pockets, resembling nothing like the Holy Father he dressed like.

'What an interesting character,' Levon's eyelids drooped, trying his best to contain his inquisitiveness.

Stepping out the airport, Levon was shocked to find them in what looked to be a… a desert?

????

"We'll be travelling via that—a desert worm."

Wow!

Levon's eye's brightened as he spotted a giant worm with a number around its neck: 49. One It's black were what looked like amusement park-seat rides. There were 30 pairs of seats, 3 seats per row, making a total of 90 seats.

"49…" Rayna muttered. "This one is headed towards Entry/Exit way 49, right?"

"Smart." Notchra grinned even more. He didn't need to say anything further, as the gang watched more and more worms pop out from the ground, while others ran towards the airport from a distance.

47!!!!!

They found over 5 worms with the numbers 47. However, 4 of those worms had seats field to the brim.

"Come on, what are you waiting for?" Notchra rushed to the 5th worm like the wind, finding a seat for himself. It all happened too fast for anyone to react. But this didn't stop Levon and his gang from finding seats of their own after literally racing their way through the crowd of runners.

Fortunately, they reacted faster than some who were shocked by Notchra's show of power. If not, do you think they would be able to win a battle or a race against the many slayers or other Bloodrens around them?

Don't ask them why, but the worms also seemed to know or sense when all seats were full. And just like that, they were well on their way to Entry/Exit 47… a one-way Trip to Britannia!

.

.

Time, they say… waits for no man or being. Levon wasn't the only one with priorities to be met.

In a vast heavily protected space, a meeting was being held by several formidable figures…

The sky exploded with forked lightning, as rain began lashing against the windows. The dark clouds said it all. It was cold outside—that everyone could see. Yet, nothing could compare to the current frost in the room.

This was the Order of the Silver Rosary, one of the 12 orders created by the Church. And wouldn't you know it… all Order heads had all gathered for a ranking competition that happens every 50 years.

Old Zen, Order head of the Scarlet Cross, and several others were in attendance, including the Old Hag, Agatha Constintle, from the Blue Chain Nuns. She wore a Nun attire, smoked a cigarette in one hand, had several fine lines of wrinkles on her face, and had a long scar that ran across her nose from cheek to cheek.

As Order Chief, her Nun attire had its upper half in black, and its lower half-from waist down–red. It was the same for all order chiefs, no matter what they were. The upper half was black and the lower half red.

Only the Holy Pope and the Top elders/Hillgarons, wear Complete Red from head to toe. That is Power…. That is dominance.

As mentioned, the Church has 12 Orders, from strongest to weakest:

— 1. The Order of the Silver Rosaries (led by Order Chief Horris),

— 2. The Order of the Golden Palms (Order chief Similia),

—3. The Order of the Scarlet Cross (Order Chief Zen),

— 4. The Order of the Green Hornets (Order Chief Flay),

— 5. The Order of the Blue Chain Nuns (Order Chief Agatha Constintle),

— 6. The Order of the White Phoenix (Order chief Breeta),

— 7. The Order of the Crystal Lake (Order Chief Ingorian),

—8. The Order of the Sky Pages (Order Chief Pamberla),

— 9. The Order of the Immaculate Cloth (Order Chief Rollie),

— 10. The Order of the Holy Fists (Order Chief Zita),

— 11. The Order of the Flaming Candles (Order Chief Maywen),

— & finally, 12. The Order of the Sacred River (Order Chief Reeser).

….

These were the orders and their leaders.

How important was today's event?... INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT.

For you see, this was the event that placed the orders from strongest to weakest. This was a world for the strong. The strong get more resources and permits… Everyone knows this.

It also dictates whether an Order should give up protection of a territory to another Order, since they are deemed too weak to protect so many places all at once.

It's all about power, resources, and politics.

The eyes of all 12 Order Heads narrowed dangerously as they began their Meeting.
