'How unique.'
Staring at the symbol light on, Levon soon understood why the symbol showed death rather than a seatbelt sign.
Whoosh~
This was insane! Levon swore he could feel his body threatening to break apart from the momentum. The speed they travelled with, was the most terrifying he had ever encountered.
If not for the peculiar vine-like seatbelts, he would have long turned into a splatter of meat chunks and blood on his own seat with how much downward force was exerted on him. And after what seemed like an eternity, the Death sign finally faded.
"Dear passengers, you may now use the other facilities at your discretion."
Finally!
Shugo felt it was great to be alive. He was chewing on a peculiar bubblegum with big googly eyes that looked like they were about to release a torrent of waves. Levon had to admit that even he was shaken to the core. Almost everyone rose to their feet, deciding to leave the cramped space before their legs were cut off from their bodies.
Why did they feel like just these short few minutes were the greatest torture they've ever experienced?
"Some ride…"
"Yeah, I swear I thought for a moment I was gonna day!"
"Hmph! Newbies… What? Is this your first time travelling via air? Or are you all just liver-hearted and nothing more."
"Bah! Who the hell are you trying to look down on?... You would have sounded much more convincing if not for your lips that wont stop shaking like an old hag!!!!"
Some of the passengers were already rambling on and on rudely to no end.
'What a nightmare…'
Levon massaged his temples, feeling that if he didn't get out of here soon, his head might just explode from all the noise around him. It seemed it wasn't just them who had such thoughts.
Leaving their seats, Levon and his gang first came to a dining hall that was quite bare, but in their eyes, still spacious, compared to being cramped in their original seats. Some people quickly rushed to take seats, while some sat on the ground. Some people like Levon, decided to continue exploring.
They bypassed another place that said: Kitchen, staff only. Following this, there was a rough, almost worn-out training room with the bare necessities. Next to it was an observatory room where the entire floor to ceiling walls seemed to be made of glass, allowing them to look out into the vast Blood Line terrain they were travelling through.
Wow~
Below was a terrifying sea of green vile substances that looked nothing natural. From time to time, they spotted peculiar rotting creatures leap out far high into the skies… almost reaching their current height in the air.
This was insane!!!!
One must never forget that the entire Blood Line, if cut off from the rest of the world, was actually the size of some moderate size planets scattered about the galaxy. Peculiar rocky islands were scattered around this Green Vile sea. But what's this? They also spotted some ships down below, no doubt belonging to the Church… Who knows if someone's mission is to head towards any of those black, rocky, bare islands?
Levon's eyes twinkled the more he watched. If possible, he wanted an entire Map of the Blood Line, imprinted into his brain, because everything about the place fascinated him.
Puff!~~~
An eruption occurred on one of the rocky islands. It was a mountain on the island that released more Green Fluid, as if the fluid was magma. Then, right before their eyes, the island seemed to sink…. Sink into the Green seas, while another one not too far away, slowly emerged out of the waters.
"There's no mistaking IT!" An excited voice bellowed from the gathering. "This is the Sea of Heldirian's Tears!"
"What? Really Heldirian's Tears?"
"Everyone knows that during the beginning after the crack emerged, a bit of the underworld seeped out into ours. And even though the crack was permanently sealed, something that seeped out remained in this world…. Heldirian's Years is one…. It accidentally flowed out during that time."
"Awesome! I've heard of this place. Any missions involving this place automatically makes one rich if completed well…. Although I don't know why, it only means that this place has an incredibly high danger-level compared to many other parts."
As many spoke, Levon found his blood boiling with a strong desire to explore this place someday. Artilla, Leo, Shugo and Rayna were also the same.
Fufufufufufu~
…
Leaving The observatory, they continued their little exploration.
"Cabins?"
Levon was taken aback by the first cabins they met. It was more accurate to say that these cabins were just rows and columns of capsuled bunk beds, separated by ladders to the sides. One would have to open their capsule door, get in, and enjoy their privacy. The capsules had the option of privacy or open. You could choose to draw your curtains open or closed, allowing passersby to look into your capsule.
Looking into some, Levon had to admit that these capsules were much better than his sitting arrangements. At least in the capsule, one has enough leg room. They could sit up or lie down to nap. Some were reading books there, while others brought out all sorts of items for entertainment… It seemed that they had travelled via airship before, and prepared well for the journey.
Of course, there were some who were clueless, as this was their first time after upgrading to capsulated cabins. They used to be in Levon's situation, sitting in cramped spaces and using their time to explore or sit with others listening to gossip. But now, they had privacy and a space of their own, not knowing what to do.
How lucky…
Levon noticed that the further he moved, the bigger the capsulated cabin rooms seemed to grow in height and width. Previously, there were 4 capsulated cabins stacked one on top of the other. But the number soon changed from 4 to 3, to 2.
Soon enough, their little tour came to an end. At the very end, there were stairways leading to the many, many floor levels above, as well as a peculiar elevator. However, they didn't have access to the floor above, so this was definitely the end of the tour for them. One could only imagine how monstrous Notchra's Cabin rooms of over 740 credits will be.
… And just like that, 4 days went by in a flash, with the airship landing and taking off in various other airport stops. Until finally—
[ Deboarding— Entry 45 to 62 ]
Levon's eyes flashed. That was their queue. Although they hadn't seen Notchra since boarding, they recall their destination: Britannia through Entry 47.
"Brother Levy, this is it, isn't it?" Artilla asked, enjoying one of Levon's lollipop's.
"Yeah." Levon nodded, looking at the group who unhurriedly rose to their feet for deboarding. Can you feel it? Can you feel the excitement coursing through their veins?...
"Let's go." Levon chuckled darkly.
Time to take on their very first Mission!!!
