I will strive beyond this cursed bloodline!

Chapter 54: Writting invitations and preparing the venue.

The answer that Jenna brought was a positive one; she opened the door and walked into the room almost half an hour after Elizabeth finished speaking with Arthur. And with great wonderful news, that is to say.

"Here it is the coordinates," Jenna said as she offered Elizabeth a data drive, Elizabeth accepted it and summoned a holo tablet to see the coordinates of the place.

It was a nice cozy spot in the middle of no man's land.

"And there is an island here?" Elizabeth said, all her map apps said there was nothing there.

"There will be one in a week, [The Beast Master] is punching open a volcano and preparing the island for eruption." Jenna said, shrugging, "I asked him for a sturdy and secure spot away from everyone else, I will return his memories when he finishes."

Elizabeth nodded at the schedule, it seemed like the best option, this way if [The Beast Master] turned to be an enemy he wouldn't be that much of an issue, since the island would be already made.

"...Can he sink islands?" Elizabeth asked after thinking about it again, he was, after all, an S-Tier Hero.

"Of course he can, so can [The Elementalist], also [The Monk] may be able to, depending on what kind of talismans he has saved, besides them, no one else should be able to. They can, however, raze an island easily enough." Jenna answered, shrugging, which was a fair judgment about how things were.

Honestly, Elizabeth could probably raze an island herself too, so long no one got in the way anyway.

"Fine, what about the invites?" Elizabeth asked, that was important too, they needed to finalize those.

"Here they are the template invite," Jenna said summoning an envelope for Elizabeth to look at, "I asked a couple favors, the envelopes can hold some skill or magical effect, so I am planning to encode into it the memories and unlocking of your identity."

That was kind of smart actually.

"And how are you going to ensure only the one who is going to receive the invite awakens the memories?" Elizabeth asked as she opened the envelope, it was a white paper woven with some type of skill.

Elizabeth knew it because the mana reeked of Mana, and it was a mana she hadn't sensed before, it was still a neat application, so she took note of how it was done and tried to do it herself.

At the end of the day it was an original way to weave mana into a physical form, so it was easily undone and unraveled by Elizabeth's Mana manipulation, and in turn, it was easily redone in a new form for her to play around.

"...That shouldn't be possible." Jenna said as she noticed what Elizabeth had done. Honestly, she should have gotten used to it already, if nothing else this was standard for Elizabeth.

"Why?" Elizabeth asked as she made sure the envelope worked as she needed it, if anything else, this made it extra secure since Elizabeth was now fully aware of what happened to the envelope and who touched it.

"Because that was done using a unique skill," Jenna said, extending her hand forward and taking the envelope from Elizabeth; the blonde girl felt Jenna's mana brush against the envelope as if asking for a confirmation of its contents.

Elizabeth feeling somewhat like it was time for a good joke, she refused the prodding from Jenna's Mana.

"Elizabeth?" Jenna asked turning to look at the blonde girl who merely whistled as if nothing was happening, Jenna then sighed and shoved more mana into the thing.

Elizabeth felt the mana she had left in the envelope strain, part of it then shifted to taking in this new mana and purifying to strengthen herself. Jenna arched an eyebrow, probably as she felt part of her mana being cannibalized to feed the envelope, but at some point the mana from Jenna was just too much.

And so, the envelope burst into motes of light as it dissolved into nothing.

"At least we proved it was secure, it should not turn into this but burst into flames, as the original material was paper, but this works better." Jenna said as the motes of light faded away, "Can you make a new one?"

Elizabeth raised a finger and part of her mana materialized into a new envelope.

"Yes." Elizabeth said with a smirk on her face as a new envelope materialized atop her finger, brand new and everything.

"And the contents?" Jenna asked as she took the envelope, this time, the envelope accepting her mana and opening as it should.

"....What about the contents?" Elizabeth asked, suddenly becoming aware that, she had not seen the contents before destroying the previous one, and in turn, knew not what was inside.

"Yes, these are your wedding invitations, surely you did not destroy the original I gave you before?" Jenna asked with a smile blooming into her face, this girl...

She knew Elizabeth the best of them all didn't she? Well, not as good as Rossie or Rena, those two knew more intimately Elizabeth after all, but that was also beside the point.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"....Just get me a new copy, I don't believe you gave me the only one you had." Elizabeth grumbled while extending her hand.

"Of course not, I know you and how you are. This was a marvel of mana, my original idea was to tease you when you couldn't imitate it." Jenna said laughing and pulling a new envelope from her personal inventory. "Here, look at it, try to not destroy it, only the envelope is special."

Elizabeth took the new envelope and opened, this one didn't struggle or tried to latch onto her mana, so perhaps it was a normal one?

"That one is keyed to your mana." Jenna said before Elizabeth could ask.

She...didn't felt anything off?

Attempting to tune her mana outside her normal wavelength did give her some signal, but it was mostly as if the envelope was confused. Nonetheless, Elizabeth opened the thing and checked it out.

"You are invited to the wedding between Elizabeth Starbright, Rossaline Singh, and Watanabe Rena." The first two lines read, it was...making it more real, if nothing else. "We would be glad to have you [Name of the invitee] and your closest family to attend at the venue."

It continued adding some requirements to family members, namely, it ensured that they were close blood relatives, sisters, brothers, parents, or daughters.

Also added a limit to only close family, you couldn't bring the mother of your partner for example, that made the list go out of control easily.

Elizabeth continued reading it, "The Date will be [Date to be set up] at 48°52.6′S 123°23.6′W, if you can't arrive by teleportation a teleportation please call [Jenna's number] or [Elizabeth's minion contact information]....Where is your number in the template Jenna?" Elizabeth asked as it quite literally said those words, "Or what minion's contact information will go here?"

"My number is private, and I will not share it with a random skill holder, no matter how many favors they owe me." Jenna said shrugging, then pointing to Elizabeth's shadow she added, "As for the minion, whoever you have set for the teleportation network."

Who indeed...any of her minions could do that work, all they needed was a portal to enter the ShadowHaven...no wait.

"Mordred," Elizabeth commanded and her loyal servant showed.

"You called mistress?" The black-haired girl asked as she gave a small curtsy to Elizabeth.

"Can people traverse into Terra Nexus as a midpoint to arrive at a point within Zaanam?" Elizabeth asked, "If a Shadow Dragon opens a portal in and out, will they experience an....adverse reaction?"

Elizabeth motioned to [The Traveler] who was lounging at the back.

"...If they are above a certain power level, they may be rejected automatically, but if they are below a certain threshold, they may be bound to Terra Nexus as that insufferable man." Mordred said pointing to [The Traveler], "I would advise to use the services of Lady Sana or Lady Aura for this."

"I guessed as much..." Elizabeth said sighing, "Thank you, you may return to your duties."

"Happy to serve Mistress," Mordred said bowing to Elizabeth and then sinking back into the shadow from where she had come.

"Aura?" Elizabeth asked to the air.

"Hello Elizabeth, you called?" Aura said before she teleported in, that was a weird feeling, Elizabeth could hear the words as she said them, but she was painfully aware that the girl was mid teleport, how did that even work?

Trippy.

"Yes, can you man the teleportation network? We need to reroute people from all the continents to the wedding venue." Elizabeth said giving the invitation letter to Aura.

"Point Merlin?" Aura said as she read the coordinates, "You...really want privacy huh."

"It is the safest bet, we don't know how...rowdy our invitees will get." Jenna said shrugging, "So will you give me the contact info to put it there?"

"No," Aura said shaking her head, "Better get Sana to do it, I am working the planar shift of your wedding venue, now that I know the landing point I can finish setting up the anchors, it will be a partial teleport. So you get to keep the venue...and the old lady doesn't grumble as much for us encroaching into her terrain."

Old Lady?

"....Right..." Elizabeth said, going through her mana types and sending a pulse of Mana searching the new minion that had joined them as of late, only to find just the smaller space foxes running around; sighing, Elizabeth surrendered and said aloud, "Sana."

The smaller purple girl teleported in a poof of white smoke as soon as the words left Elizabeth's mouth, "You called Mistress?" The smaller girl said as she looked around, turning her attention fully to Aura as soon as she noticed her, "Mom!"

"Yes, can you prepare and set up a teleportation network to these coordinates?" Elizabeth said offering the coordinates of the venue, "I was planning to use Terra Nexus as a midpoint, but was told that may be a bad idea."

"Oh yeah, totally bad idea, the place is still hostile to life, unless they are at least half stronger than mister suit over there, they may die." Sana said nodding gravely, "But a teleportation network? Yeah, it should be easily done, can I divert some Space Foxes?"

"As many as you need so long it doesn't disturb too much Terra Nexus, we want to keep the biomes of the other minions safe." Elizabeth said nodding at the petition, "You are the expert, so long it doesn't make thing worse you are free to move as you wish."

"Then I'll set up the network, where do you want the nodes?" Sana said nodding to Elizabeth.

"Jenna?" Elizabeth said turning in turn to Jenna who nodded at the smaller girl, "I'll get you some coordinates then, can you set it up so it reacts to these invitations? Elizabeth, can you give her a sample?"

A sample?

"We aren't using your friend's ones?" Elizabeth asked confused, "You asked a favor after all right?"

"I was going to, but yours are sturdier, also I think you would rather have some that aren't vulnerable to someone else." Jenna said extending a hand, "If you want me to, I will use the invitations from my friend."

"No, you are right." Elizabeth nodded at that reasoning, "So, how many do you want?"

"Give me around five hundred for now, I will probably need less," Jenna said extending her hand forward, "I will need to return the ones I asked, but I just need to pay the cancelation fees, so it isn't that bad."

.....but five hundred?

Could Elizabeth do that many? Probably.

She wasn't sure, but decided to open the pathways to her Mana Cores and started pumping out the mana, first she weaved the mana into the preset form of the envelope, then slowly she poured it as she extended her hand forward.

Slowly at first, then faster and faster by the second, one after the next a pile of envelopes started forming in front of Elizabeth.

Elizabeth first started making sure each and every envelope was made to perfection; slowly, Elizabeth started to loosen the focus on the mana construct, letting her instincts take over. The more envelopes she made, the more natural the creation became, soon enough it was as natural as breathing for her.

And so, in turn each envelope started to become more natural, less similar to the previous, but in turn, each one became more organic.

As if each of them where made manually instead of being product of an automated pseudo spell made out by Elizabeth.

Soon enough, five hundred envelopes stood in front of Elizabeth, each slightly different, as if they had been handcrafted instead of made with Elizabeth's mana shenanigans.

"Five hundred envelopes," Elizabeth said nodding, "They should accept whatever skill or spells you are putting on them, just test them on and start with these."

Elizabeth put a hand over the last batch made from her attempt.

Why? Because if some would become an issue would be those by the end, where she had loosened her control over the skill-spell, where she let it run naturally.

"Right," Jenna said grabbing a few of those at the end and a few from the begining, taking from her inventory new letters she started putting each into an envelope.

Manually...

By hand...

One at the time...

"Don't you have a skill to do that?" Elizabeth asked confused, "Or a faster way?"

"Of course I do, everyone at our level have one or two ways to do telekinesis." Jenna said as she started putting at the side those envelopes she had sealed already.

Elizabeth could feel part of Jenna's mana being used to seal the envelopes with the invitations inside.

"But at our level, it is also more meaningful when we do things like this." Jenna said offering an invitation, "Compare that, with this one."

And then, she levitated an envelope and sealed it with some kind of telekinesis skill.

Elizabeth took both and..."This one feels more secure? More solid?" Elizabeth said raising the one she had done by hand, "While this...feels artificial? I mean, I know they are, but still?"

It was weird, "Because I did that one without touching it, there is no connection; there is meaning behind our actions, Elizabeth. You could say you are already married to Rossaline, I could get you a marriage certificate even, but would it feel real to you?"

Elizabeth shook her head, "No," It would not. "I see, so...do you want help?"

Elizabeth said extending her hand, "Surely it will become more meaningful if I help?"

"Sure, I'll write the person name and seal their mana signature, you can seal the envelopes and link the mana signature to the unlocking, do you need help finding out how to?" Jenna asked offering Elizabeth a few letters with names already on them.

"No, I can figure it out, do check them before delivering them tho." Elizabeth said shaking her head and taking those, it would...take some time, but that was fine.

Aura was dealing with the cathedral, and Sana would soon start teleporting around Zaanam to set up the teleportation network.

Elizabeth...was one step closer to marriage.
