I will strive beyond this cursed bloodline!

Chapter 49: Time stopping doesn't work like that?!?!?!?

As it turned out, there was some use to the traveler, even if he was weirdly focused on who was or was not a Saintsworths, and for what felt the fifth time, Elizabeth needed to leave something very clear. She was NOT a Saintsworths.

Even if she was the reincarnation of one, she held no memory, blood or talent of him. Well, she HAD blood of a Saintsworths, but Mother was expelled from the clan, so she didn't count. And even if she did, Papa's blood could counteract it, besides, with all the difficulties they had to concieve her…Surely that negated any blood ties to the Saintsworths…

Also, her Soul was scrubbed clean! Even if she managed to awaken the Saintsworths Inheritance…Or well, Alexanders inheritance, it was a moot point! She was not a Saintsworths! She would never accept being called one! They were nuisances! Elizabeth was not a nuisance.

She was… at best, a mild inconvenience…. and even that, she wasn't even that much of an inconvenience; she didn't ruin other people's lives…except Ethan's and Akira's lives, but they deserved it. Also maybe Echidna's life. But then again, she also deserved it.

"Fine, so, when do you want to go there?" Arthur asked, making everyone stare at him, "What? I mean…Time is kind of my thing, so I always have time, but…you all don't. So I gotta ask…"

Really? just like that?

"Well, not the Saintsworths, she also has time on her side." Arthur said pointing at Elizabeth.

"I'll literally shove you back into that time prison and add elements I KNOW you can't undo." Elizabeth glared at the man.

"Fineeee….The daughter of the most ridiculous and dangerous people on the WORLD, also has Time, but everyone else doesn't. So? What will it be?" Arthur said correcting himself, granted, that also sounded bad, but not as bad as having the Saintsworths name stuck to her.

"I…Don't really have a need to go? It's more of an Elizabeth thing." Jenna said, shrugging, "So whenever she is ready?"

"I need to check on Rossie and Rena, but besides that whenever you are ready is fine for me. It's more of a social call after all." Elizabeth said also shrugging, "Don't you need to fix your stuff too?"

"Already did." Arthur said, shrugging, "Or I will in…"

The man extended a hand to his right and opened it just in time for a journal to fall into his hand, "I see…I'll do all of that in two years, man it seems my next two years will be wild if it took me that long to get into it." The man said opening the journal in the first page, "And the rest is already blackened out…future me must be really pissed if he doesn't want to give me spoilers…Or I'll die…I hope I didn't die…"

What?

"What?" Elizabeth asked, confused, as Arthur dropped the folder, and it fell into another weird portal, this portal reeked of…Tea?

"Oh right, you are a new Time user…Well, you see…Time travel…is bullshit." Arthur said as if it was the most sacred truth ever, "That's it, my advice is don't. Unless you really need to. Just don't, and if you think you need to. Take a moment to think things through…Extend your hand to the right…"

Elizabeth did just that.

"Wait five seconds…" Elizabeth waited those five seconds…nothing happened, "If no message from yourself falls into your hand from the future, that means you didn't use time travel the first time, so you don't need to do it this time either."

"What?" Elizabeth asked yet again.

"You know what, I am seeing it now. You were right, you weren't a Saintsworths. They usually understand the implied message there." Arthur said nodding, making Elizabeth glare at the man, she was smart, smart enough to qualify as a Saintsworths, she had the knowledge and memories of their most powerful member! "Yeah…Maybe you really are your Mother's daughter."

"....How are you even alive?" Elizabeth asked very confused, "If you speak like this to people who are more powerful than you, how do you survive?"

Elizabeth really wanted to know, a second later a letter fell into her open hand.

"Oh, a message from the future. Maybe you did travel in time after all?" Arthur said with a knowing smirk.

Elizabeth glared at him one extra time to make sure the man knew his place and then focused into the letter. Opening it was easy enough, it was normal paper…It was not any type of stationary that Elizabeth knew or liked though, so that was weird.

" And…this is not my handwriting…" Elizabeth said as she read the note, and to make sure everyone knew what it was, she read it aloud, it read: "... 'It's because I do my work well enough and they know they can't catch me'....Well, I can catch you."

Elizabeth said smirking at the man and summoning some power from [The Gem of Time] just enough to freeze time for a second, funnily enough, in this frozen time…Arthur was also frozen, she had thought he would be pulled with her, but he was not…

Funny thing indeed.

Elizabeth took a measured couple steps to ensure everything was normal, and when she didn't feel any resistance…"Shouldn't it be impossible for me to breathe? If time is frozen, then the air should be inert? It should be like walking into a wall…Actually how am I even seeing things, light shouldn't move…" Elizabeth started dissecting this weird phenomena.

Time travel…Time stopping powers, they shouldn't work. At all, her logical mind was saying that, her more Draconian mind was screaming at her that this shouldn't work at all.

"And you….you did this and pulled me in, but when I do it you don't get pulled in?" Elizabeth said, pulling from her shadows one of her Claymore. Raising it she made it levitate just above [The Traveler] then for good measure she pulled two spears and put them against his neck, as if she was going to decapitate him. "Well…this ought to make the message clear…Let's add some chains…"

Elizabeth made a couple of shadow chains climb through his body.

"Aaaand….action." Elizabeth said as she teleported to a nearby sofa and snaped her fingers, she felt the [Time] magic radiate out and the world restart.

"See?" Elizabeth said smiling, Arthur and Jenna following the sound of her voice, but only one being able to turn her head.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

"....Neat trick…" Arthur said trying to move, Elizabeth felt him try to activate one of his skills yet again, and with a thought Elizabeth dispersed the mana away, all of it, a thought was all she needed and the man was devoid of Mana, no way to fuel his skills, at all. "....Okay, that one, that one is more worrying…"

The man was laughing, while Elizabeth only smilled and looked down on him, she was sitting, the man was standing, a flick of her finger and he was dragged by the Shadows toward her, the spear and sword following him.

The man may be standing in front of her, but Elizabeth knew for a fact that she was looking down at him.

"Elizabeth?" Jenna said from the back, some worry on her face, but not much. Did she thought she could stop Elizabeth?

Perhaps if it was anyone else, but to this man? Elizabeth knew she had him, no force on Zaanam could prevent her from doing whatever she wanted to him, if it was someone else? Then yeah, Jenna could probably stop Elizabeth.

"What do you think Arthur Saintsworths, can Jenna save you? From me?" Elizabeth asked, to the man who was devoid of skills and mana, "Can she?"

"....I would be inclined to say yes…" Arthur said, and Elizabeth tightened her control over him, squeezing just a little at his Soul, "....but something tells me she can't…What….what did you do?"

"What indeed…" Elizabeth said removing both the Shadow chains and spears from him, then after thinking it for a few seconds she also removed the Claymore, it was a moot point at this moment, "Kneel."

Elizabeth said she didn't particularly make it a command, even if it came out like that. Nonetheless, Arthur did kneel, one knee against the ground with the other helping him stay balanced, both his hands against the floor and his face looking down.

"....I was going to say that we kneel to no king… But I am guessing you DID do something…" Arthur said struggling to stand up, Elizabeth could feel it, the spirit of the man wanting to rebel against her command, but why was it a command? Elizabeth didn't intent for it to be, "...it was the mana wasn't it? You…poisoned it?"

"I did no such thing," Elizabeth said mildly offended, "I despise that, to taint what is not yours, to paint your color in someone else against his wish…I despise the mere act of it."

And while Elizabeth had access to that kind of thing, she had never done it…to this man, she did do it to…Akira…Ethan…and Michael against her wishes, but had she done it to this man? No. She did not.

"....Ah crap…" Elizabeth couldn't help but say, "....But…Zaanam's mana was eroding you away…I…"

"you…?" Arthur said after her, "You did what?"

"I…purified your mana?" Elizabeth said sheepishly.

".....This feels like a little more than purifying." Arthur said, "Because it feels more as if my mana, my core and for some reason [My Soul] reacts to your whims."

"....Reginald," Elizabeth summoned her most wise Minion left, or at least the one who probably would know about this anyway.

"Yes Mistress?" The thunder kobold dragon said, manifesting in a lightning discharge, "...Oh…"

"What do you think about this man?" Elizabeth said pointing to Arthur, "Is he a Minion? A servant? What is he?"

"Your mother is…no, wait, there is no way I can insult your Mother without her liking it or using it as a way to bother me later," Arthur said, laughing at his own comment.

"....he is an Inhabitant." Reginald said, looking at Arthur all over; the discount shadow dragon even cast some diagnostics spells which Elizabeth wasn't quite sure why he seemed to focus on his mana wavelength more than anything else; Elizabeth hadn't found anything useful with those types of diagnosis spells. "You have somehow stumbled upon an Inhabitant? But I thought the planet wasn't viable quite yet?"

"What do you mean?" Elizabeth asked, confused, "Zaanam is quite a liveable planet; we are there right now."

"Not Zaanam," Reginald said, turning to Elizabeth, then raising his finger to the sky, "Ours."

"Ours?" Elizabeth asked looking up, the direction… "Oh….crap."

"Crap what? What is there?" Arthur said trying to look up, Elizabeth discarded her dominion over the Saintsworths to let him look up, "There is nothing there, no viable planets within our local star system, the Saintsworths made sure of that."

"....There is one…even if not viable." Elizabeth said sighing, "I'm so sorry…"

"...There is one?" Arthur said, confused, "How could you….Ah…."

"Yes, you are no longer an inhabitant of Zaanam…You are…" Reginald said, sighing, "You are the first human inhabitant of Terra Nexus."

"....Who's Eve?" Arthur asked suddenly, only to get a series of Shadow Spears coming from the ground and almost skewing him alive. "....Got it, I don't get Eve…So I'll not ask for Lilith either, just in case."

"....If you have someone you care enough to want to get…speak with them, if they accept they get a free pass to Terra Nexus." Elizabeth said, sighing, "A Shadow Dragon will let me know when you find them."

"....Is that planet habitable? Do I get a tour?" Arthur asked as the shadow spears receded, "Or an apology? Sorry for kidnaping you and turning you into a slave?"

"....Sorry I had to make you an inhabitant of My Planet so you wouldn't die from the mana of Zaanam eroding your mana, body, soul and mind into oblivion," Elizabeth said dryly.

"....Fair point," Arthur said nodding, "And where is this Shadow Dragon you…It's already in my shadow, isn't it?"

"All servants of Mistress are a gate for her blessings." Reginald said, nodding, the shadow of Arthur answering in kind and letting a small shadow dragon out of it for a second, only for it to go back in.

"....So that's why my skills don't work on you." Arthur said, nodding, "Because you turned into the system they run…You know what? I take it back, you aren't a Saintsworths after all."

"Thank you?" Elizabeth said, confused, "You had already taken that back before."

"Oh that? I was lying, even your Mother who is blonde hair, no boob and no brain, was a Saintsworths, you who have more boob and more blonde hair qualified for the title." Arthur said dismissively, "But no, the point is…you are way worse, because from here…I didn't believe you before, the whole tale about your Soul becoming so big that it turned into a physical place, but after that? You actually stumbled into Godhood, as a mortal…You…You are exactly like Alexanders."

And didn't that hurt?

"Right for the heart," Elizabeth said, sighing, "...I do feel sorry, trust me. I'll not abuse this…"

"....right you won't…" Arthur said pointing at his own neck, "Unless I annoy you, or somehow my opinion goes against your beliefs."

"....There are very little that can piss me off enough for that," Elizabeth said glaring at the man, "So unless you start raping and abusing women left and right you will be fine…But then again, your whole power is stopping time while no one else can sense or feel it…So…"

"....Point taken," Arthur said nodding, "But no, sadly for your self-important blonde head, I am not a horny teenager; besides, that is not how time-stopping powers work. When time is stopped, all biological functions are stopped, and humans are closer to statues in that form."

"....And you know this because…?" Elizabeth asked narrowing her eyes.

"...I…may have been a horny teenager once?" Arthur said, shrugging, "So before you try it, clothes and flesh? Closer to steel or granite, at least when time is stopped."

That….Elizabeth shuddered at that, and was very glad she was a woman, she would not have liked to find out about that as a man. It took the fun out of her idea of using time to stop time and fondle Rossie and/or Rena before her eighteenth birthday.

Speaking of…

"Time man, what day is it?" Elizabeth asked, stretching herself; it had been a couple hours of very stressful work; her birthday was a month away after all.

"You just upturned my whole life, ruined any hopes of staying in this timeline and condemned me to what sounds like a very new planet…" Arthur said, looking at Elizabeth as if she was crazy, "And decided that the best way to deal with this was asking me to use My Powers to give you the date?"

"Sounds about right," Elizabeth said nodding, "I really feel bad for you, and if you want me I can even let you have a country or two…Hell, you can even help us decide the local fauna whenever we get around to having a stable atmosphere."

"....you don't even have an atmosphere?" Arthur asked, frustrated, the weird Magic techno circle on his wrist flaring to life, "....This is how dealing with that nutcase must have been, yeah… I now know why I got so many warnings about staying as far away from you and that nutcase from my alternate future selves."

Rude…fair, but rude.

"It's September Thirteen," Arthur said, sighing into his hands, "Why? You lost track of time? Here, this is the magic formula- Are you even paying attention?"

Elizabeth was not paying attention, at least at the beginning, then she just speed-read the magic formula using the newly improved Magic Eyes she got from Michael and reproduced the spell into her favorite configuration.

She liked the techno look, but she was a Magical Girl at heart, and everyone knew Magical Girls used full magic circles, besides, the man wasn't a mage, why did he want to use magic runes?

"....September Thirteen….Almost a month? I lost…almost a month of time…" Elizabeth whispered as the horror started to seep into her bones, "...Two days? I only have two days?"

She…she….

"....I…I….need….an….adult?" Elizabeth started breathing hard and fast; she couldn't breathe…she didn't even need to breathe anymore, and she couldn't!

"Elizabeth?" Jenna asked as she rushed to her, "What's happening? What's going on?"

"...Is she broken?" Arthur asked confused.

"Mistress!" Reginald flashed right beside her, "Do you want us to call Lady Rossaline?"

"No!" Elizabeth said quickly, "No…I…I…I need to prepare first…"

Oh god…Elizabeth needed an adult, for she would be an adult in less than two days…

The first adult near her was Jenna, her childhood friend…

Not viable.

The second one? Arthur Saintsworths.

Elizabeth wouldn't trust him, not yet. He was probably mad at the whole 'I'm your new Goddess, respect me heathen.' thing.

After that…

Both Rossie and Rena were older than her for a few months, so both of them were now adults…

Oh god….

Rossie and Rena were adults…And Elizabeth needed one…

"heheheheh…" Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh at that, even with air missing from her lungs, the laughter came unbridled, ".....We may need to either delay my birthday party…or speaking with the italians…"

This….

"And I need to speak with Rossie and Rena first." Elizabeth said, focusing on the task at hand; she…really was screwed over this [Time], if…if this was really how Aura and Iroha said…

She would be so pissed at whatever entity beyond the dimensional walls that had caused this to happen. Couldn't she deal with all the issues, have a birthday, goes on a honeymoon and end it there?

Why was she getting her birthday right now?

She hadn't dealt with the Italians! Or the [Twelve] !

What the heck kind of pacing was this?!?!?!?
