I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 343: Start of a Date?

The sun shone brightly over a bustling city. People commuted to work, cars commuting to their destinations, and some were distracted by the holographic screens that displayed the latest news.

And today seemed to be a repeat of Louis Mana Academy's recent incident and its total casualty count. Not only that, but there was even estimated compensation for the families of the deceased.

However, all that wasn't important, for somewhere in the city and inside a rather luxurious apartment complex was a white-haired girl in her kitchen.

She wore a white apron that was slightly stained. And currently, her face was twitching rapidly in frustration as she quietly muttered:

"A-... Another failure...?"

Lillian stared down at what she intended to be a cake... Was a mess... And next to it were several others, equally as bad and worse than the latest.

She collapsed to her knees with a defeated expression, "Man... This is the 5th one... How does someone fail making a birthday cake 5 times in a row?"

After a moment of reflection, she finally sat up.

Tomorrow was the day that she would celebrate Marionette's 19th birthday. She had to make this right by then.

And as she was thinking this, she rolled up her sleeves again. But as she was about to prepare another batch of ingredients, she felt a subtle vibration in her back pocket.

Reaching for it, she found it was coming from her phone. And more specifically, it was caused by an unknown caller.

She raised an eyebrow and decided to answer.

After answering it, she went silent and waited for the other side to talk first. Usually, in this scenario, the person on the other side would either hang up, but it doesn't seem to be the case this time.

"Is this Lillian Ker Arius's phone?"

"Uhm... Yeah? Could I ask who is asking?"

"... Marek. Marionette's father. I need to speak with her."

"O-oh...!"

Lillian became startled and immediately straightened her back as she adopted a more respectful tone, "How may I help you, sir? And... May I ask why you are calling me?"

"You may. And the reason is that I cannot connect to her device. Now, could you put my daughter on the phone?"

"Eh..."

Lillian stepped into the corridor leading to her room and took a glance at her door. She had been told not to enter by the Assassin earlier. But since this was pretty important, she thought it would be fine.

After opening the door, she peeked inside and found a woman with long black hair and red eyes sitting at her desk. She was a stunning woman and someone that Lillian felt proud to be with.

Lillian glanced at what the woman was doing and found they were writing inside a... Notebook?

It was Marionette.

The Assassin, noticing Lillian's arrival, quickly shut the notebook. She then tilted her head and asked:

"Did you need something, Lillian?"

"Ehh..." Lillian slowly held up her phone, showing her screen to the Assassin, who raised an eyebrow.

However, a split second later, the woman quickly widened her eyes and stood up. She then asked:

"Is it my father?"

Seeing Lillian slowly nod, Marionette quickly sped over. Seeing this, the white-haired girl hurriedly handed the woman the phone before watching the Assassin step out of the room.

Lillian sighed, scratching the back of her head.

Marionette had told her about her phone suddenly breaking during the Invasion. However, she didn't go much in-depth about it and just used vague words.

'She also didn't tell me why she was covered in blood that day...'

Lillian then walked over to her desk, staring at the notebook the Assassin was intently writing in.

She picked it up and stared at it curiously. It was just an ordinary notebook.

Well, except for the front cover that read:

[Plans with Lillian]

Lillian raised an eyebrow, but then giggled a split second later. For the last couple of days, the Assassin had done nothing but go out and come back scribbling inside the notebook.

Lillian had asked a few times to go out with her, but every single offer was shot down. And as she remembered this, she couldn't help but give a small pout.

'I feel like a caged bird in my own home!'

She then paused and asked herself:

'How come she didn't buy herself a phone whenever she went out?'

After a moment, she eventually ignored the question and decided to look into what the Assassin had been writing with a small grin.

And as she was reading through it, she couldn't help but widen her eyes as she was met with a massive list and detailed diagrams of what she could only assume to be... Places?

She had even recognised some of these places as well.

And as Lillian continued to read more, she found that all of these places were tied to a single date.

[April 14th]

'Wait, isn't that her birthday?'

Lillian, at that moment, realised that this notebook... Was a detailed list of what Marionette wanted to do on her birthday with her!

"Doesn't this sound like a... Date?"

Lillian couldn't help but cry internally. She should've been the one to make something like this!

And as she was thinking this, she felt someone sneak behind and wrap their arms around her neck.

Their voice then echoed into her ear.

"What do you think you are doing?"

Lillian stiffened. She twisted her head around and looked up, finding the Assassin staring down at her with narrowed eyes.

But... She had also noticed a slight pinkish tint to their cheeks.

Were they embarrassed that she had discovered what she had been working on this entire time?

"Are you snooping through my belongings, Lillian?"

"W-well— H-hey!"

Lillian flinched as she felt the Assassin tucked something into her back pocket before patting her rear.

Marionette, feeling Lillian flinch in her arms, muttered in a quiet voice:

"I'm just giving back your phone. Don't worry..."

She paused before leaning into Lillian's ear and whispering in a sultry tone:

"Unless... You wish for me to do something..."

Lillian blushed slightly; however, she watched as a hand appeared in the corners of her eyes, moving towards the notebook in her hand.

It was at that discovery that Lillian realised that the woman was just trying to distract her long enough for her to retrieve the notebook!

Marionette, who was breathing hot air into the back of Lillian's shivering neck, suddenly watched as it disappeared. Her hand immediately paused in the air as she widened her eyes slowly.

She then watched as the Rabbit in her arms twisted themselves around, facing her before clutching her face and pulling her down.

Lillian, planting a romantic kiss on the woman's lips, leaned back and smirked.

"Nope! This is mine now~..."

"Excuse me?"

Lillian backed away, giggling at the baffled look in the Assassin's eyes. She shrugged and stated in a teasing voice:

"I'll be sure to use this for our date tomorrow~"

Before Marionette could say anything, Lillian quickly slipped out of the room with a mischievous cackle, running back to the kitchen.

Marionette, who was left by herself, couldn't help but feel a blush appear on her stoic face, which she tried to hide from no one as she quickly closed the door.

She then climbed onto Lillian's bed and planted her face into one of the two pillows on the bed.

More specifically, Lillian's side.

She rubbed her face in it and drew in the girl's scent before twisting around and hugging it tight to her chest as she mumbled under her breath:

"Date... Tomorrow..."

She then buried her face into the pillow again.

She couldn't wait for tomorrow...

"Seven in the morning, huh~?"

Lillian, who was wearing a white shirt that was tucked into her cargo shorts and a white denim jacket, smirked as she inspected the interior of the cafe they were in.

Marionette, who was sitting across from her, nodded.

"Yes. It would give us more time to spend throughout the day."

The Assassin wore a black turtleneck sweater and charcoal grey pants. She also wore a pair of black latex gloves.

And as they waited for their coffee to arrive, Marionette's right leg couldn't help but bump up and down under the table at a rapid rate.

Almost as though... She was anxious.

Lillian, ignorant of this, decided to tease the woman a little bit as she pulled out the Assassin's notebook and began looking through it.

"Ooo~... So after the cafe, we'll be going to the city square?"

Lillian blinked playfully at the Assassin, who quickly turned their face away from the girl with a slightly pinkish hue on their cheeks.

"Must you... Look at that?"

Lillian giggled, storing it within her ring before interlocking her fingers and resting her chin on them.

"I want to make this day perfect for you~... So, I'll be using it as a guide for today..."

Soon enough, they got their morning coffee, and after conversing a little bit, they quickly paid and left.

Making their way outside towards a car that was parked for them.
