Chapter 63: Vinsmoke Judge

Chapter 63: Vinsmoke Judge

"Purururu!"

"Purururu!"

"Purururu!"

The Den Den Mushi continued to vibrate, and Rodney walked over to answer the call.

The Den Den Mushi mmediately imitated the appearance of the person on the other side, with a fierce expression and two upward-curving mustaches.

This peculiar creature could mimic human faces and convey voices, and Rodney found it quite interesting when using it for the first time. "Moshi moshi, who's this?"

(TL/N: Moshi moshi means "hello")

"You're not Reiju? Who are you?" It was a man's voice, somewhat unpleasant, and carried a sense of superiority in his speech.

"Vinsmoke Judge?"

"I am. Who are you? Where's Reiju?" Judge asked.

"They? They are my captives now, the young Miss Reiju and your useless son."

"Impossible! They are my greatest creations! How can anyone defeat them in the first half of the Grand Line?"

According to Judge, it would take an Emperor or an Emperor's deputy-level powerhouse to deal with his children. How could they fail in the first half of the Grand Line on a minor mission?

It was just a small task; how could it fail?

"Hey, hey, don't take them too seriously. Let's talk about the conditions. Your two children, each with a bounty of two billion bellies, and I'll throw in two Devil Fruits as well..."

"You're extorting us!!"

"Huh? I thought the mighty Vinsmoke Royalty wouldn't care about such a small amount of money. It's really disappointing. So, the Vinsmoke family is already on the decline, huh? Oh, I'm sorry, you don't even have a homeland now, just a bunch of mercenaries no different from stray dogs, hahaha!"

Without hesitation, Rodney taunted him. He had absolutely no fondness for a father who treated his children as tools for reviving the family and his wife as a tool for childbirth. He would casually discard his children, caring only about his own interests. Such a father had lost the qualification to be a parent.

Rodney had no sympathy for such a person, so disgusting him had become a pleasure.

"You... You bastard! Don't think that just because you became a Shichibukai, you can do whatever you want!" Judge roared.

"Sorry, a Shichibukai can really do whatever they want! Hahaha, old man, don't even think about relying on the World Government. It's useless. I'll deal with my spoils as I see fit, and they have no reason to make me hand over your children. Well, if they find out what you and Dr. Vegapunk researched on 'Bloodline Factors' back then, I wonder how they would react? Hehehe, it's quite interesting..."

"You... How did you know about that? Yonji? No, he wouldn't betray me. Could it be Reiju?" Judge began to suspect his own children directly. Rodney's eyes turned colder, despising the bastard who didn't even trust his own children. He didn't deserve to be a father.

Tsk, he was increasingly tempted to punch him to death.

"Think about your conditions yourself. Oh, as long as you can find me, I'll give you a big gift. Hehehe!"

"Wait, you..."

Rodney hung up the Den Den Mushi and turned around to see Robin smiling at him. He asked, "Is there something on my face?"

"No, our captain looks quite handsome today."

"Of course, when am I not handsome?"

"Hehe, only for today. Please don't be too narcissistic, Captain."

"Captain, you seemed quite angry just now?"

"Yeah, people like Judge don't deserve to be parents." He shook his head and said, "To be honest, what Judge did to his children and wife, in my opinion, disqualifies him as a human being." Using his own eyes, he briefly told Robin about Sanji's past.

The tragic past that couldn't even be considered a childhood left Robin silent, reminding her of her own childhood. Compared to Sanji, she felt somewhat luckier in certain aspects. Then she said, "Captain, I support your decision, and I have to say, Captain, you're quite an odd person..."

An odd yet gentle person...

"What do you mean odd? I just can't stand him, that's all! And don't use such words for me randomly; otherwise, you'll accompany my clone to guard today. By the way, what should we have for dinner tonight?"

"Who knows? The ship's irrelevant personnel have been cleared out by you, even the chef." Robin said with a smile.

"Ah, it's all because those clone people attacked me. I can't believe even the chefs were clone soldiers wielding weapons. Germa's a bunch of battle maniacs."

He recalled when he entered the kitchen and was confronted by a group of chefs wielding knives, his heart was in disarray.

Are all of Germa's members soldiers?

"Captain, couldn't you control them with your eyes?"

"No, that would waste my chakra." Rodney said, "Chakra shouldn't be wasted on such things, and this ship can function as a war machine even without the clone soldiers. So, it's better to get rid of them, right?"

"It's your choice, so... Captain, I'll leave tonight's dinner to you. Germa's library has some nice collections. I'll go take a look. When it's time to eat, please let me know. Also, please don't use your power to create ramen. I can't stand eating ramen all the time." Robin said and left, leaving Rodney clueless.

If I could cook, would I still need to eat ramen?

Cooking, which only meant edible, Rodney came to the kitchen and looked at the fresh and luxurious ingredients, pondering.

How can I avoid accidentally making dark cuisine?

"Ah, ah, ah! If I knew, I should have controlled those chefs. I need to find a cook!" In helpless rage, Rodney picked up a kitchen knife and started cooking.

A moment later...

Boom!

Robin came after hearing the explosion and looked at Rodney covered in black. A few black lines appeared on her forehead. "Captain, are you making bombs?"

"No, no, I was just trying to cook, who knew that kind of fish meat would explode!" Rodney shook his head to deny.

"No, it's just that your culinary skills are lacking, Captain."

"You knew, huh? And you still wanted me to cook for you?"

"Isn't it natural for the captain to take care of the crew?"

"Huh? I'm the captain; shouldn't the crew cook for me?"

"Captain, you're exploiting me! I'm a historian!"

"Don't you claim to know a lot of things? It's just making a meal."

"No, it's better to leave it to the captain."

The two of them argued like this. At this moment, Reiju walked over. Rodney didn't restrict her freedom since without the Jerma combat suit, she couldn't leave this place anyway. Upon hearing their argument, she said, "Why don't I cook?"

"You?"

You're probably going to poison the food, right? No, maybe as a noble lady who never gets her hands dirty, you can't cook at all, let alone poisoning people. It's simpler for you to poison them.

Rodney and Robin exchanged a glance, and Rodney said, "Robin, let's eat ramen."

After a brief silence, Robin said, "Alright, Captain. I'll have the pork bone broth."

"Okay, then I'll have the miso flavor." Rodney said.

After that, Rodney exchanged some Berries for three bowls of steaming ramen. Robin took one, thanked Rodney, and left with the ramen.

Rodney handed another bowl to Reiju. "Enjoy."

"Where did you get this from?"

"Mind your own business, just eat. Poison won't work on you anyway."

"Thank you."

Reiju took the ramen, and the aroma made her feel a rare trace of appetite.

When she looked up, Rodney had already left, and she heard his complaints from a distance, "Damn it, I'm about to get tired of ramen. Why can that brat Naruto eat it for decades without getting bored? I must find a cook!"

This person seems to be a good guy, but his personality is a bit odd.

After taking a bite of the perfectly cooked ramen and having a sip of the soup, she brightened up.

"Delicious~"
