I Transmigrated Into the Game as the Luckiest Extra

Chapter 59: Meet Up 2

The late afternoon sun cast long, distorted shadows across the secluded rooftop, painting the concrete in hues of orange and deep purple. The sounds of the bustling city below were a distant, muted roar, giving them a pocket of relative privacy. Kael Vi-rel stood before the two women, the cool breeze ruffling his hair as he surveyed the loot spread out on a clean patch of the roof.

"Alright, that settles the equipment we're selling," Kael Vi-rel announced, his tone crisp and decisive. He gestured toward the remaining items, his gaze locking onto two objects that glowed with a faint, internal light. "Let's do what we came here for. It's time to distribute the skills."

They had already decided on selling the gear they had no immediate use for, leaving only the most valuable and game-changing items: the skill cubes.

With a practiced motion, Kael picked them up. In his left hand rested a cube of crackling, translucent amber, arcs of miniature lightning visible within its core. In his right, a cube of serene, swirling sky-blue, looking like a captured piece of the heavens. The system windows for both were already clear in his mind.

[Ding!]

[Weapon Materialization [Rank: F/Grade: A] Skill Cube]

Description: Grants the user the ability to materialize and wield any weapon from their knowledge base, formed from intangible, condensed mana. The weapon's stability and power are dependent on the user's mana control and reserves.

[Ding!]

[Wind of Senses [Rank: F/Grade: B] Skill Cube]

Description: Allows the user to perceive the world through the flow and texture of the wind. They can feel vibrations, detect movements, and read the subtle language of the air currents to heighten their spatial awareness.

Now, for the distribution. I already know which one is perfect for each of them, Kael thought, a flicker of satisfaction running through him. He had planned this from the moment they'd acquired them.

Kael Vi-rel stretched his hands forward, presenting the two distinctly colored cubes. He offered the crackling amber one to Clara and the sky-blue one to Selene.

"This one's for you, Clara Winslet. And this one is yours, Selene Whitmore."

Clara Winslet's eyes widened, her gaze fixed on the lightning-infused cube. A small, audible gasp escaped her lips. Selene Whitmore, ever more composed, accepted hers with a graceful nod, though Kael Vi-rel could see the quiet excitement sparkling in her eyes. Judging by their expressions, he'd hit the mark perfectly. The skills were not just useful; they were exactly what each of them secretly desired.

"It seems like both the skills were acquired without any problems," Clara Winslet said, her voice brimming with awe as the amber cube dissolved into particles of light and flowed into her palm.

"I'm glad there was no backlash, nor did the skills reject you," Kael Vi-rel replied calmly, though he was relieved. Compatibility wasn't always guaranteed.

A wide, irrepressible grin spread across Clara's face, making her look younger and more carefree than she had in days. "Then… can I check it out? Right now?"

Kael Vi-rel offered a small smile in return. "You don't need to ask for my permission, Clara. It's your power now. You can do what you want." He then tilted his head toward the opposite edge of the rooftop. "As you can see, Selene has already begun."

They both turned to look. Selene Whitmore was a silent blur of motion against the evening sky. She was no longer just climbing; she was practically dancing with the wind. With a grace that was breathtaking to watch, she rode the air currents, leaping from the edge of their building to a neighboring one with an impossible, feather-light arc. The wind seemed to cradle her, guiding her steps.

Clara watched for a moment, her eyes shining with inspiration. "Okay! I'll give it a try!"

What is she going to make? Kael wondered, his curiosity piqued. A sword, to match her usual style? A shield for defense? Maybe a bow for ranged attacks? The possibilities were endless, limited only by her imagination.

Clara Winslet stretched her hand out, palm facing the sky. She took a deep breath, her brow furrowed in concentration. A sharp crackle of ozone split the air. Blinding arcs of pure lightning erupted from her palm, not as a chaotic discharge, but as a controlled stream of energy that began to writhe and twist. The light was so intense Kael had to squint, watching as the raw power coalesced, hardened, and solidified.

Slowly, it took the shape of a long, vicious-looking spear.

"A spear, huh?" Kael muttered to himself, intrigued.

Of all the weapons she could have chosen, she made a polearm. It was different from a normal spear, though. This one was formed of pure, condensed lightning, its form unstable and flickering at the edges, constantly humming with untamed energy. An interesting choice. It suits her aggressive, straightforward combat style. Still, it's her power, not mine, he mused.

Kael could feel the raw, unstable mana radiating from the weapon. It was potent, but volatile. "Hey, be careful with that," he warned, his voice sharp with caution.

"Hey, look! I did it!" Clara exclaimed, her face alight with the thrill of her new creation. In her excitement, she gave the spear a triumphant swing.

It was a mistake.

The unstable form couldn't handle the sudden movement. The spear bucked in her grip, unleashing a violent, uncontrolled discharge of lightning. A thick, searing bolt shot out from the tip, striking the rooftop and exploding with a deafening crash. It scorched a deep, blackened crater into the concrete, barely a foot away from where Kael was standing.

He had already leaped backward, his instincts screaming. The smell of burnt stone and ozone filled the air.

Well, it's her first time using it. The instability is to be expected, he thought, his heart rate settling. But this is incredibly dangerous if not handled carefully. The combination of her divine trait with this materialization skill is a perfect match… almost too perfect. The raw power is off the charts.
