Chapter 105: The Final Room

The chamber's oppressive heat hit them the moment the door swung open. Crimson light bathed the room, illuminating the hulking form of a Djinn in the center. Its molten body radiated waves of searing energy, and its hollow, fiery eyes glared at the intruders. Beside it stood a man cloaked in shadows, his aura suffocating and cold—a dark mage.

At the far end of the room, Emma was bound to a chair, her head drooping.

Dakota: "Emma..."

He stepped forward, but the dark mage raised a hand, summoning a barrier of pulsating dark energy between him and the rest of the team.

Dark Mage: "Not so fast. If you want her, you'll have to go through us."

Dakota turned to his team, his voice calm but firm.

Dakota: "Take the Djinn. It's stronger than anything we've faced so far, well except for the Djinn we fought at the end of the second year, but I know you can handle it. Leave the mage to me."

Ava: "You better not die in there, Captain."

Dakota: "Not a chance. There is no way this puny dark mage can take me out, he doesn't even stand a chance. But be careful this Djinn is strong, but I doubt you will struggle with it, good luck. Or I should probably wish the Djinn good luck."

The team nodded, their focus shifting to the towering Djinn. Its molten fists slammed into the ground, sending shockwaves that rattled the chamber.

Ava darted to the left, flames flickering at her fingertips.

Ava: "Flanking positions! Keep it distracted!"

The Djinn's head turned toward her, roaring as it swiped with a molten claw. Ava ducked under the strike, unleashing a fireball at its side. The impact sent ripples through its body, but the Djinn barely flinched.

Liam: "It's tougher than it looks!"

From the right, Liam and Jack launched twin bolts of lightning at the Djinn's head. The electricity crackled across its molten surface, briefly dimming its glow, but the creature's roar only grew louder.

Jack: "We're just pissing it off!"

Luna and Mia stood back, their hands weaving complex water spells.

Mia: "We need to cool it down! Luna, on my mark!"

Luna nodded, and the two unleashed twin jets of water, striking the Djinn's molten core. Steam erupted, filling the chamber with a thick, scalding mist.

The Djinn staggered, its glow dimming for a moment before it reignited with an even brighter intensity.

Luna: "It's absorbing the water—turning it into fuel!"

Ava: "Great, now what?"

Amelia: "We need to stop focusing on brute force. Target its core. I'll cover you."

She nocked an arrow and infused it with light magic, her movements swift and precise. She loosed the arrow, and it streaked through the mist, striking the Djinn's chest. The creature roared, its molten exterior cracking slightly around the impact point.

Ava: "There! Aim for the cracks!"

Liam and Jack moved in tandem, electricity surging between them.

Liam: "Jack, let's try something new."

Jack: "You mean that move we've been practicing?"

Liam grinned.

Liam: "Now's as good a time as any!"

The two clasped hands, their combined lightning magic forming a spinning orb of crackling energy. With a synchronized shout, they hurled the orb at the Djinn's chest.

The orb struck the cracks Amelia's arrow had created, exploding on impact. The Djinn stumbled, molten chunks flying from its body.

Mia: "It's working! Keep it up!"

Beyond the barrier, Dakota faced the dark mage in an intense clash. Dark tendrils writhed around him, each strike aimed with deadly precision. Dakota dodged effortlessly, his flames burning brighter with each movement.

Dark Mage: "You're annoyingly resilient, you know that?"

Dakota: "You're annoyingly weak, you know that?"

The mage growled, summoning a massive orb of dark energy. Dakota didn't flinch, his fiery aura intensifying. But the fight faded from the team's view as the barrier's swirling shadows obscured them.

The Djinn, though wounded, showed no signs of slowing. Its molten body flared with renewed intensity, and it slammed its fists into the ground, sending waves of fire in every direction.

Ava: "Scatter!"

The team leaped away, narrowly avoiding the flames.

Liam: "This thing's relentless. We need to end this before it wears us down."

Mia: "If we can't use water, what else do we have?"

Ava's eyes narrowed as she stared at the Djinn's core, now exposed from their earlier attacks.

Ava: "We don't need water. We need precision. Amelia, can you hit the core again?"

Amelia: "I can try, but I'll need an opening."

Ava nodded.

Ava: "Leave that to me."

She charged forward, her flames swirling around her like a vortex. The Djinn turned its attention to her, its massive hand swinging down. Ava slid under the strike, hurling a concentrated fireball at its face.

Ava: "Now, Amelia!"

Amelia loosed another arrow, this one glowing with an intense, swirling light magic. It struck the Djinn's core dead center, causing a massive crack to spiderweb across its body.

Jack: "That's it! Go for the core!"

The team attacked in unison, their combined magic slamming into the Djinn. The creature staggered, its body flickering as molten chunks fell away. But it wasn't defeated yet.

The Djinn roared, summoning a massive pillar of fire that engulfed the room.

Ava: "Everyone, shield up!"

The team braced themselves, their magic shielding them from the flames, but the intense heat drained their strength.

Luna: "We can't keep this up for long!"

Ava clenched her fists, her determination unwavering.

Ava: "Then we'll finish it before it finishes us!"

---

The fight continued, the Djinn refusing to fall despite its injuries. With each attack, the team pushed themselves to their limits, but the creature's resilience seemed endless.

And beyond the barrier, Dakota's flames flared higher, his voice cutting through the chaos.

Dakota: "Don't hold back! Show it what you're made of! And Henry it's about damn time you get serious."

Henry: "ah I guess you're right, well it's time to finish the Djinn."

Ava smirked, her resolve hardening.

Ava: "You heard him. Let's take this thing down."

The battle raged on, the outcome still uncertain.
