I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 596: The First Children

Rebecca senses the danger looming over her. When she looked up, there was a giant eye glaring at her.

"Malice?" Rebecca asked out loud, then realizing that it was not the Black Queen. Her head snapped to the direction of Midnight.

The man was grinning from ear to ear. His eyes were piercing through the woman, gazing like the eye above them.

"It's you?" Rebecca gulped, fear running through her veins as she saw the intense aura boiling inside Midnight. It wasn't something like she felt before- nothing like the enemies she fought nor the allies she held her fist for.

"My father said I was normal," Midnight said. "That I was not defective. I just dress like this because it's normalcy for me. I don't have to settle for anything other than the ones women wear. Because I am normal."

Rebecca stepped back, all her power was now focused on defense. It was like she was a powerless child in the middle of a dark jungle, and a predator was ready to pounce on her when she least expected it.

"I didn't know you had her form too. How?" Rebecca asked. "Was it when Malice attacked you?"

"No, actually," Midnight said, the grin on his face dropping. "I always had this form."

"What?" Rebecca narrowed her eyes. "From since when?"

Midnight raised his hand and watched it morph into a pitch black skin with latex-like texture. The darkness followed the rest of his body until he was all pitch black.

He ripped his clothes, revealing his form. His black skin was glistened under the dark pale light of the moon. He had no other large anatomical structure, no wings, no scales, no claws, no talons. He just had a human body.

Midnight opened his eyes, both orbs now glowing with white light. Rebecca was out of words for what she was seeing. It was hard to believe that the enemy she was facing not long ago was now ten times more powerful than her.

"Incarnation," Midnight spoke. His voice was ethereal yet deep. It was like listening to a being that speaks in echoes, bouncing in the air.

"If you had this form since you were born, then does it mean-"

"Yes," Midnight chuckled. "I had this form since I was born."

"Another child?!" Frederick slammed the table, eyes wide open as the woman in front of him calmly sipped her tea. "Or children– wait, what?"

"Malice has a lover– one that's different from the others. It's actually why she turned mad," the woman said. "Melissa and Reginald weren't the first Black and White lovers. There was another pair, one that had a much darker ending."

Frederick curled his lips up to a grin. "What happened? Daddy and mommy interrupted?"

"Something like that," the prophecy said. "From the moment their eyes met, the Absolutes knew that there was nothing else that's gonna happen except giving birth to monsters– ones that can take over realms and rule over worlds.

"And annihilate Absolutes," the prophecy chuckled. "That threat was too great, the risk was too dangerous that they had to find a way to do something. Make a choice."

"They killed the children?" Frederick asked, smirk forming in his lips. "How unfortunate. That would have been heartbreaking."

"You're such a psychopath," the prophecy chuckled. She looked around and spotted a man enter her dimension. It was Luck, hands on his pocket and eyes droopy.

"I'm tired," Luck said. "That guy was not easy to defeat. His powers are way to great. I had a hard time."

"Thus the reason why you got here so late?" Frederick asked. "I had to battle two, the old man one, and one for you. Yet you're here just finishing up after two days."

"It was–" Luck groaned, sitting on a chair provided by the prophecy. He took a sip of a tea from the table. "I had a hard time because that guy had the most power after you guys defeated the others. Plus I wanted to have some fun. It's been a while since I fought with my full power."

"That was your full power?" Midnight chuckled. Luck grit his teeth and stood, slamming his hands on the table.

"As I was saying," the prophecy placed her cup on the table, glaring at the two. "The Absolutes cannot have such monsters roam the planet. They have to do something about it."

Luck sat back down and sighed, "I'm not really interested in your children's story something, but if Fred is, then please continue."

"The Absolutes took the powers of the children, separated the Black and White from inside them, and then…" the prophecy paused. "Separated their souls, and feed their bodies to the Paragons. It created the Ravens– but that's a story for another day."

"Children," Frederick sighed. "I think I know what you mean by now. Separated their Black and White forms, then their souls are separated. Are these children twins?"

"Yes, but the souls are not, one was late to find a new host," the prophecy continued. "The souls had no energy to burn, so they burn ourselves. The first one was good, he was able to find the host immediately. His soul buried deep into that body with most of his powers intact. But his brother was not too lucky.

It took him years to find his sibling, years to find a new host, and years to for his soul to burn more."

"That's an interesting story considering one of the children is fighting the strongest fighter in Hell, right?" Frederick glared at the prophecy. "Will he survive?"

"It all depends if he could take Rebecca with an empty mind," the prophecy whispered. "It's the only way to fight her."

Meanwhile, Midnight was hovering above Rebecca. The fear that the woman initially thought was washed away after she sensed that her enemy is not more experienced than her.

"You might have raw power, one that extends beyond my comprehension and I do not know how," Rebecca clenched her fists, a golden aura of power emanating from her body. "Let me show you what it is that's going to happen to you if you fight someone as experienced as me."

"Bloody Eureka!"

Midnight dove straight towards Rebecca, his grin never leaving his face. He raised his hand and conjured a spinning disk of pure darkness.

"What weak attack!" Rebecca yelled. "Show me something more."

The man groaned, now forcing his hands together to create a sword of darkness. He lowered his other hand and took his own shadow, burning it into his weapon.

"That's nothing!" Rebecca. She raised her hands, showing her gauntlets that glowed with the yellow aura. The burning color of her aura showed the intense amount of power that she had.

The two were just about to clash when a spark entered the fight. It burned with a cosmic light that separated them from clashing.

"Alright, stop."

Francoise laughed as he lowered himself to the ground. Rebecca grinned when she sa the old man.

"Oh, another challenger for the champion?" Rebecca smirked. She slammed her gauntlets together but was then blown away by a powerful force.

Her body smashed into a tree. Francoise showed his hand, a ring of broken rock falling into pieces from his wrist.

"Guess who's limiter just broke?"
