I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 579: Crystal and Corazon

While Connor and Hope engaged in a heated battle against Caroline and Carmina, Elliot and Lance continued to ran towards Melissa's room.

"I wonder what happened to Spencer," Elliot suddenly said. "He was the one who killed my father. He was supposed to guard him, but he ended up taking my father's life for his own sick fantasy."

"I don't know what to say about that," Lance confessed. "Maybe Frederick and the others killed him already. They could never forgive someone who killed a friend."

"That is possible, but I really think he escaped," Elliot said. "If he did, where could he be now? I wonder if he's still in Terra or if he's still active."

"Most likely he's still active," Lance said. "Angels have a rather longer life than average humans. If he's still alive, I'm sure he's out there somewhere."

"You know what's the weirdest thing that I imagined when the name Spencer escaped my mother's lips?" Elliot muttered. "The Man."

Lance almost stopped in his tracks when he heard him. He gulped and sighed. "And why would you think that?"

"Because, you know," Elliot sighed, then shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe the Man is Spencer?"

"I don't think so," Lance looked away, also confused. "Do you think so?"

"I do," Elliot confessed. "He's strong, and he doesn't feel like he's Terran. He felt foreign, but not like any familiar foreign that I felt from all the other races."

"He does kind of resemble Bruno who's also an Angel," Lance said. "Maybe you're right or maybe not. The firs thing we have to do is get to your mother, so let's worry about that first."

"You're right," Elliot smiled comfortingly. "Let's do that first."

The two continued to travel the hallways until they stumbled upon a peculiar young woman. She was standing in the middle of the hall, not moving but she was just staring.

She looked like a young girl who has black hair that were styled to pigtails. She also had a lollipop in her hand while she watched at the two with beaming black eyes. Her looks were void of life, as if she was an empty shell.

"Hello!" she said. "Who are you two and what are you doing here?"

"We don't have time for this," Elliot said. "I need to get to my mother now."

"Leave her to me," Lance said. "Take the stairs on the right side of the hallway. I won't let her get past me."

"Alright," Elliot said. "Be careful."

As Elliot left Lance alone with the young girl, there was a wide smirk that etched across the girl's face. She grinned and then spun, creating a mist around her.

"Well, isn't that good for me," the girl said. Lance raised his guard when he heard a more mature voice than the appearance of the girl. He was going to be wary of his enemy because she doesn't seem like she would be a friend.

"Who are you?" Lance asked. He brandished his swords and covered them with his black and white energy. "Tell me your name and I might spare your life."

"I'm so scared!"

The mist dissipated, leaving a dark silhouette of a now larger woman. Lance narrowed his eyes, but then gasped at the sight right in front of him. The young girl vanished, like she was never there.

What there is now was a tall woman with a large waist and breasts. She was wrapped in a thin layer of silky fabric but has slits in all different places such as her cleavage and the sides of her thighs and legs. Lance confirmed her race when he saw the bat wings behind her and the tail that had a pointed tip.

"A Succubus," Lance said. "No wonder you reek of that smell."

The woman's smiling face dropped when Lance said that. There was almost a visible nerve pulsating on her temples as she growled. "What smell are you talking about?! I showered!"

"That unpleasant smell that I definitely smelled before," Lance waved his hand in front of his nose, further insulting the already furious woman. "I don't like it. Not one bit."

"Why you little..." the woman clenched her fist and fired several pink-colored energy balls at Lance. The latter dodged all the attacks with ease. He wasn't even breaking a sweat as he neared the woman and raised his white sword while lowering the black sword.

"I see an opening!" Lance yelled, covering his swords with energy before slashing it forward.

The woman growled and jumped, dodging the attack as she spun in the air and opening her wings wide. "You're fast and you're strong. But the queen is twice as strong as you and if I can endure her, I can easily endure you!"

She flapped her wings, creating powerful waves of energy in the air. The castle almost moved at the power while the decorations on the hallway were blown away. Lance maintained his posture and raised his sword in front of him.

"Your power is not as strong as I hoped it would be," Lance chuckled. "I expected more from a Succubus!"

"Then take this!" Crystal, the Succubus, spun and created a spiral vortex that was traveling towards Lance. It was powerful and it was covered with slashes of energy that could cut anything in its path.

Lance just inhaled deeply before crossing his sword. "Double Mercy!"

Ed was still fighting the knights back at the first floor but they seemed endless. He has a lot of stored mana and his pool of energy was great, but if this keeps on, he wouldn't be able to provide backul for his friends against Malice.

"I have to deal with them all at once, quick," Ed said to himself. He conjured his armor and the large knight behind him. He growled and swiped an entire row of knights in a single blow. The knights that were blown away also took down knights behind them, causing the flood of knights to stumble and fall.

"I should've done that from the start," Ed said to himself, smirking. He was satisfied with his work, so he turned around and was about to leave when he felt an ominous aura on the mountain of knights.

He jumped back and raised his guard, wrapping himself with his armor once again. Ed watched as the knights were slowly being sucked into the center, all lifeless and seemed like empty shells.

"What's happening?" Ed asked himself, narrowing his eyes to watch the events happening closer. "They're being... absorbed?!"

"That was a good meal."

Ed fired several burst of attacks at the source of the voice, which was at the center of the piled up knights. There was a slight laugh before his attacks were fend off by floating swords.

"Powerful," a female voice said. She walked out of the pile of knights then pointed her hand behind her. She smirked and then with a powerful ball of energy, she sucked all of the knights in the energy. "And delicious."

The woman was tall and slender. She had dark brown hair and a pair of dark hazel eyes. Her skin was lightly tanned and she was wearing a black set of armor.

"You..." Ed was speechless as he watched the scenes unfold. "That was horrible. Why would you do that?"

"They were useless and I had the permission of the queen," the woman smirked. "She thinks that these knights just takes up space and they're so useless. They can't even take one enemy down. Don't you think they're a waste of space too?"

"No," Ed said. "When your friends can't handle an enemy, you help them and train them to become stronger. You don't kill them for your own gain. That's messed up!"

"It is?" the woman looked behind her, seeing nothing but an empty floor. "But then they're not here anymore, so I guess it's fine, right?"

"Wrong!" Ed launched himself at the woman. She smirked and leaped, meeting Ed midair and clashing their swords.

There was a spark before Ed's sword slowly lost its power. He noticed it and growled, firing several beams of energy at the woman and then backing away.

"What happened?!"

Ed watched his sword slowly regain its color. When their swords clashed, he could swear his sword looked like it was losing its dark grey tint. It looked empty, like an outline of some sort.

"Who are you?" Ed asked. "What kind of ability was that?"

"My name is Corazon, the Sword," the woman bowed. Her sword hovered beside her and then it lowered, seemingly bowing with her. She smirked and then clapped her hands. "You're bright and you seem like you're perceptive. If you let your sword made contact with mine for even a second longer, you would've lost it."

Ed clenched the handle of his weapon. He felt like he could lose it, that was why he backed away instantly. He bonded with his sword, and he can't let this woman take it away from him.

"I think I just faced a very troublesome woman."
