I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 556: Plans Against an Angel

It was a critical moment for Elliot and his group. Bruno was revealed to be the archangel Sariel that already gained most of his powers. He was an enemy that they should not take lightly. He was a dangerous foe and he might kill them if they wouldn't be careful.

Irus brought them to a forest on the outskirts of the city, but it wouldn't be long before they get caught by Bruno. He has high-detection powers and he could spot their powers in just a few hours. Irus wrapped a blanket of camouflage around them to delay Bruno for at least several hours more. Just until Strong recovers.

"I think we should focus on starting an all-out war against him," Barbara suggested. "I know he's powerful and all, but I also know that Malice isn't a fool to trust an Angel. If we convince her, then we might be able to gain a powerful ally."

"What if she is working with Malice and the two reached an agreement?" Irus asked. "Then we would only take ourselves on a suicidal decision."

"Look, Irus," Barbara sighed. "I know you're afraid of Angels, but there are a lot of us and only four of them."

"We don't outnumber them that much in case you didn't notice," Irus said. "There are only ten of us and that's not enough. Malice should at least cost three of us, and the other two one each, and then Sariel ten more."

"You're overestimating him," Trick said. "I have known Bruno and knows his powers well. I scanned him, along with Glory and Strong here and we know the depths of his powers."

Irus clenched his fists and looked at Elliot. The boy was determined to fight, it was written in his eyes. This causes Irus to laugh and shake his head. "Fine, but I cannot face Bruno. His powers would only weaken me."

"Then you can face Malice on your own, right?" Elliot said. "You're able to match her just fine."

Irus smirked. "I can take care of her on my own. You should go and try to figure out who to fight who."

"I can fight Hansel alone," Trick said. "I know the limits of his powers and—"

"Chill down," Ed chuckled. "You're powerless against him. Literally. No offense, but I think I can deal with him. He'll be a pain in the neck, but at least I know that I can fight him. I'll bring Hope with me."

"Then I'll battle Gretel," Glory said. "Strong is still wounded, so he can come with me. We can handle her."

"Fine, but watch out for surprises," Trick said. He turned behind him and saw the faces that would come with him to battle against Bruno. "Then it will be me, Barbara, Elliot, Lance, and Connor against Bruno."

"We'll be fine," Elliot reassured. "You don't have to worry about us. We just have to get stronger and get stronger as we fight him."

"All right," Trick sighed. He sat on the ground and shook his head. "An archangel, huh?"

"Yeah," Irus said. "We're going to fight one very soon. I'm not even excited."

"Irus, can you tell us why you're so scared of Sariel?" Elliot asked. "There has to be a reason."

"Sariel can easily suck out my powers as a Behemoth," Irus said. "Archangels are designed to overpower Behemoths specifically. Demons can be fine against them, but we're powerless. Unless I have my brothers with me, then I can't do anything."

"Why do you need them?" Elliot asked. "Do their powers not get sucked out like yours?"

"When two Behemoths are together, their powers are linked and are not be able to be sucked out from them by any archangel," Irus said. "My brothers refused to be part of this fight."

"Then we don't have to worry about you facing Bruno," Elliot said. "You're already so strong. I belive Malice would not be a problem for you."

Irus laughed. "You think too highly of me."

"I do," Elliot said.

Before any of them could continue their conversation, Strong grunted. Glory immediately tend to his care and healed him with some of her powers. "He's waking up."

Strong fluttered his eyes open and saw Glory's green aura heal him. "Hey."

"Hey, it's good that you're alive," Glory said. "What happened to you? Did you know who did this?"

"It was Gretel," Strong replied. "I was curious about Bruno's actions and tried checking on the queen. I know she was inside the princess's chambers, so I went inside to talk to her. It was all a mess because Bruno arrived and the queen did not react to any word I said. The princess was scared and she was trembling, but there wasn't anything she could do.

"Bruno ordered Gretel to fight me and I was caught off guard by her power," Strong continued. He took a deep breath and shook his head. "She's powerful. Her powers will seal you inside a blood dome and she could control everything inside. She could create swords and shield out of her own blood and there was no way out."

"Her powers are her own blood?" Glory asked. "But a dome. That would make her lose every drop of blood she has."

"She can expand her own blood," Strong said. "She can manipulate its volume and create more blood out of it. That is why she's able to create a dome."

"Gretel is dangerous," Trick said. "When you fight her, be careful."

"Fight her?" Strong asked. "Why? She's our ally. She's a Vassal too."

Glory ended up telling Strong everything. The man was lost for words and could not believe everything Glory was saying to him. "So, that's why Bruno tricked us. He's the one controlling the queen."

"So, negotiations with the queen is out the window," Irus smirked. "I can fight her without worrying, then."

"But please do not kill her," Trick said. "She might just be under Bruno's control, but she's still the queen."

"Alright," Irus smirked. He glanced at Elliot and signaled him and his friends to come over. "I'm going to talk to these folks for a little while."

Irus created a separate dome for them and sealed it. "I have to talk to you guys about this new information that we got. Bruno is an archangel, a kind that is forsaken from this realm or any other realm."

"Then, what do you think it is?" Elliot asked. "Do you think that he's a threat to Terra too?"

"Not just that," Irus laughed. "The prophecy."

Their eara perked up to hear what Irus has to say. They have been carrying the knowledge of the prophecy but were still unable to decipher what it meant or what it actually is.

"I think there's been some sort of a misunderstanding," Irus said. "Since Bruno controls Malice, a fraction of his soul is embedded into her. It is the only reason why he could maintain control of such a powerful Demon like her.

"If that's the case then the prophecy might meant something else. The prophecy was vague and it didn't actually showed Malice, just her shadow. This shadow could not be her, but instead the one controlling her," Irus continued.

"Then you mean—" Elliot stopped himself. "Wow."

"Yes. The prophecy could not refer to the Prophecized Boy defeating Malice, but he might kill the Archangel Sariel instead."
