I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 549: Vultu

Vultu was a large city that was unlike Hell in a lot of ways. The first thing was that it was filled bright colorful lights and people were happy in this city.

"Is this another one of those illusions like we encountered in the East?" Connor muttered. "This seemed too good to be true for something like Hell."

"Hell's cities are usually lively and fun," Irus said. "But Hell is a paradise compared to the Den or the lower regions of the Abyss."

Elliot looked behind them, right outside of the city where the dark and barren lands were. "This sure is a huge contras to the fields."

"Hell has abandoned the forests and other regions in the Realm," Dante said. "They grow and raise everything in the cities with their newfound technologies and techniques. Farms for both plants and animas do not exist here."

Elliot was fascinated by how much different Hell's lights were compared to Terra. Unlike Terra, Hell uses a thin strand of metal and charged it with a magic rock, and then it is covered with a small glass orb and the light would be brighter than any ember rock that Terra uses.

"The lights look lovely," Elliot said. "Could we try that on Terra too?"

Just like that, one of the lights in front of them flickered until it turned off. The owner of the establishment walked out and sighed. He took the orb of the light and then walked away.

"What was that?" Elliot asked. "What happened to the light?"

"Unlike ember rock lamps, the luminescent lights here are charged," Dante said. "Come on, let's detour for a bit."

Dante turned to a corner and this made the others stop in their tracks. When the man noticed that no one is following him, he looked at them and grinned. "Come on. Let's go to a lights shop."

"A lights shop? No, we should hurry," Lance said. "The castle is not that way, it's here. I could eve see it right now."

"You're already in this Realm, why not just look at some of Hell's technologies and use it in Terra?" Dante asked. "There's no rule that says otherwise."

"Is this okay, Irus?" Eliot asked. "Aren't we hurrying before Malice takes notice of us?"

Irus sighed and shrugged. "Dante knows what he's doing. Let's just let him be for now."

Hope, Connor, and Ed walked behind the group. They were a little upset by Dante's sudden change of mind, especially when they hurried to Hell even when they couldn't tell anybody from the guild yet.

"And here I thought we were hurrying," Ed told Connor. "Dante should wish that a lot of beautiful women are in that lights place."

"Don't say that," Connor chuckled. "At least he's helping us. And I'm sure we will learn a lot in that lights shop. We need brighter lights so you could look at women better at night."

When the idea entered Ed's mind, he immediately ran to the front of the group, right beside Dante. "So, Dante. When will we get there? I will do my best to know everything."

"He's like an open book," Connor sighed. "What a helpless case."

A few minutes of walking led the group in front of one of the brightest buildings in the city. It was a three-story builing and was filled with lights all over. The magnificent display of different colors of brightness surprised the group as they had never seen anything like this before.

"My friend should be inside," Dante said. "Come on now."

Inside the building was a beautiful mansion that had display of lights with them. When Dante entered, a young beautiful woman ran up to him. "Dante!"

The woman had dark brown hair and a beautiful face. She had a slender build, but you could say that she carries weapons with her because of her slight view of muscles. It wasn't well defined that she would look like a weightlifter, but if keenly taking a look at it, the woman could do some stunt.

The woman jumped and opened her arms as she smiled at Dante. Elliot thought they were just going to hug, but he was wrong. The woman spun and conjured a large sword. She pulled the sword behind her before she slashed forward.

The man pivoted to the side, causing the woman to crash to the floor. The marble time was ruined by the attack and now the woman growled and launched herself towards Dante again.

Dante laughed and dismissively waved his hand, making the sword slash in a different direction. The woman growled and pulled the sword before it could destroy the wall.

"You're still as powerful as ever, Dante," the woman cheered. She dropped the sword and ran towards Dante, this time, she gave thim a hug instead of another attack.

"How are you and what led you here?" the woman asked. "And who are your friends?"

When the woman turned to Elliot and his friends, she stopped. She gulped and then glanced at Dante who didn't react to her sudden change in mood. "Dante... Are they?"

"Terrans," Dante said. The woman shrieked and immediately ran to pull a lever. The lever dropped metal casing around all the entrances and windows of the building.

"Dante, I will save you," the woman said. "I don't know who your captives are, but I'm sure I can defeat them."

"Barbara," Dante laughed. "You think five Terrans could defeat me?"

"One, two, three, four, five..." Barbara stopped counting and then conjured another sword, this time she was pointing it at Irus. "So it was another Behemoth? Wait, Irus the Wrath?!"

Barbara dropped her sword and kneeled on one knee, her head looking down. "Oh, great son of the Forsaken. I worship thee."

"I am a son too, but you don't worship me like that," Dante deadpanned. "How dare you?"

"Behemoth have hierarchy of respect," Barbara said. "The princes, the guards, everything else in the Den, and then Dante."

"Hey, why am I last?" Dante growled playfully. "I am a prince too!"

Elliot watched as the three laughed at each other. It wasn't odd for him to see people laughing, especially those friends who had been recently reunited. What's odd for him was how Barbara was quick to lighten the mood that even Irus was interested in talking to her.

'Maybe different races share different vibe'. Elliot thought in his head. He knew that if his theory was true, then Irus was unhappy in Terra. That made Elliot felt bad.

"But anyway, why are you here?" Barbara asked. "I don't think we have a scheduled meeting today."

"We're here to negotiate with Malice," Dante said, but we decided to stop by here first. Just so these folks could learn a bit of your technology."

"These folks?" Barbara quirked her eyebrows up. "Fine. I can show you how I assemble it. But Dante since I can't open up today, I shall put this session in your tab. You will pay me back sooner or later unless you want your testicles removed."

Dante gulped but nodded. "Fine by me. As long as I get to keep my testicles."

The group laughed and Barbara started to demonstrate how Hell's lights are created.
