Chapter 542: Omniscience
"Omniscience, the power to defy the very foundation of the natural laws of nature," Trinidad explained. "With this, you can defeat any opponent that you will ever face, especially when they are stronger than you. With this technique, your power goes beyond just magic and the system that you have."
Elliot nodded his head and understood what Trinidad was saying. This was why their opponents such as Death and Uriel could easily overpower them. If they could learn Omniscience, then they could handle one enemy each instead of grouping against one enemy.
It will be much more efficient especially in battles against Behemoths or even the Angels that are looming around the corner.
"Teach us," Elliot said to Trinidad without hesitation. "I want to learn Omniscience and get stronger, much stronger than I am now."
His friends nodded, sharing equal energy to his excitement to learn the new technique. They have faced many enemies before but they felt short to fight against the ones like Uriel.
"I could remember different Uriel's fraction of power was, it was already overwhelming," Elliot said as he stared into the eyes of Trinidad. "I want to defeat the ones like him. Can Omniscience give me the power to do that?"
"More than that," Trinidad smirked. "It's a given fact that the Angels hace the upper hand when it comes to raw power and techniques, the whole Six Realms know that. But humans have built this power… the power to go against the Angels and battle them on equal footing."
"Battle them on equal footing," Elliot repeated what the woman said. He looked at his hand and remembered the fight they just witnessed. Trinidad fought that powerful monster like it wasn't anything strong at all. She overwhelmed it with so much power, that creature made it seem like it was an ant compared to an elephant that was Trinidad.
"The humans created Omniscience mainly for other races because humans are the weakest, it wouldn't change so much," Trinidad continued. "Then they started building the first Adventurers and created the first set of systems that eventually became the ones that you have right now. They started to match the power of the other Realms until now, they're spearheading the war. That's you."
"We didn't want any war," Elliot said. "The war was forced onto us. Uriel gave us no choice but to battle him."
"The war has been going on for eons," Trinidad said. "The Angels are doing their best to break the seal put into their realm, and they're slowly succeeding."
"They can break the seal," Elliot said, smirking. "But when they succeed, we are ready. We will to use Omniscience to defeat them."
"Such confidence," Trinidad smirked. "But your confidence shall be shattered if you don't prepare. Lesson one."
A crack appeared behind Trinidad. Everyone thought it was just her magic but the crack continued and a giant clawed hand broke through. Elliot gasped and brandished his sword, but Trinidad shook her head. "Their numbers further increases."
The creature clenched its fist and another crack appeared beside it. Another hand appeared on the crack and the two hands clenched and were pulled towards different directions, breaking the space more until more cracks appeared.
Trinidad took a few steps back as the middle area where the two cracks appeared shattered. A gigantic head peaked out of the hole in the air, eyes red and the aura was dark. It was perhaps the darkest aura that they felt, much more than the other one.
"This feels heavier than any one of Malice's Vassal," Lance gulped. "This creature is pathetically strong."
"No it's not," Trinidad chuckled. "It's still a baby."
When the creature tried to break out of the hole it created, Trinidad clicked her tongue and then jumped. She conjured a sphere of dark green energy in her hand before she threw the ball into the creature.
The monster growled and tried to block the power with its hands. Its claws glowed with a dark purple color, crossing them as the ball of energy approached it.
The creature growled and successfully blocked the attack. The woman narrowed her eyes and shook her head, both in disappointment and surprise."Oh, so you can use some of it too. You're strong, no wonder you appeared right after I killed your friend," Trinidad chuckled. The gray-haired woman smirked and then spun in the air, creating a tornado around her. "Menacing Barrage!"
Trinidad fired a rain of the green spheres at the creature. It growled again and swiped the orbs with her claws. The orbs exploded one by one, all of them cut into half by the creature. It seemed to not be fazed of the power too. The spheres that are being fired by Trinidad were powerful, it wasn't a question, but the creature maintained to go against it and they were all impressed.
"Who taught you Omniscience?" Trinidad asked as she approached the creature. "You couldn't possibly learn it all yourself. There should be someone else who taught you."
The creature smirked and then vanished. Trinidad saw that the creature wasn't the only one behind the hole. "There are more of you?"
Trinidad jumped around and fired the spheres at the hole. The creature reappeared and laughed, blocking all of her attacks as he did.
"You…" the creature spoke. "You don't know how to use Omniscience."
The creature vanished again. This time, it reappeared behind Trinidad. It raised its claw and slashed right at the woman. Elliot gasped as he saw the woman fall from the sky.
"Trinidad!" Elliot yelled. He brandished his sword but stopped when he felt something seemingly lurk around them.
He looked around and saw Trinidad's figure smirk at him. "Lesson two. Do not show your opponent what you got. Everyone is proud, so when they saw that their opponent is helplss, they will use all of their powers to show you how strong they are."
"What?" Elliot asked. "But this one is too strong. What do you mean?"
The figure vanished, leaving Elliot standing there fully in question of what was happening around him. "What was that?"
"That was an apparition," Lance said. "A power used to be at different places at the same time."
"Wow," Elliot nodded. They all turned to see the area where Trinidad fell. The dust cleared and her figure stood there, standing to look at the beast she just fought.
"There is one thing that you haven't noticed," Trinidad said as she stood and jumped right in front of the creature. "You don't know who I am."
After that, it was like a one sided massacre. Trinidad's body lit up with a bright dark green flame, her entire figure changed as horns grew from her head. "Don't forget the hand who fed you, dog."
"The original Guard of Conquest?!" the creature gasped in shock. "Why are you here? You shouldn't be here. You were supposed to be dead."
"And the sky was supposed to be red," Trinidad chuckled. "But it's not, isn't it? Goodbye."
With a blink of an eye, the flames engulfed the creature and all the other Behemoths behind the hole. Trinidad emerged victorious, grinning as she raised her hand in victory. "That was Omniscience."
