I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 541: Trinidad

Elliot stared at Clan for a couple of seconds. He then turned his eyes to his friends who were grinning with joy and excitement.

"Y-You won't wake Hope home?" Elliot whispered as tears started brimming in his eyes. "But I thought you would take him away and–"

"No," Clan shook his head and smiled. "Especially now that you are facing such a fight. I will be training the dragons myself and come home. They need guidance because a war is starting. For this war, every race has its part to play."

"Are you really not going to take me home?" Hope asked his uncle. "The dragons expect me there."

"Hope, you know that this family that you have here is your home," Clan said. "Home is not a place, it's a bond."

Hope wrapped his uncle in his arms, tightly gripping him with as much as he could. Clan looked up and chuckled, feeling the love of his nephew that reminded him of his sibling.

"I'm sure your parents are happy to see you with them," Clan said. "I know that because I am happy to see you happy."

"Thank you, uncle," Hope whispered. "Thank you so much."

Clan left the realm not a day later. He promised to train the draconians with all his power and make them useful in the war that was about to unfold. They know that it will only be a matter of time before it starts, and they are always prepared if it happens.

Elliot was cleaning his sword when he felt a powerful aura right outside the city. He narrowed his eyes as he looked at its direction. There was another aura and then the two auras vanished completely.

"What was that?" Elliot asked his friends after seeing them stop with what they were doing. They sensed it too.

Hope dropped his bucket of ice cream and gulped. "That power. It was similar to Death's."

The group did not waste time and rushed to the vicinity of where the auras were. They arrived several meters outside of the city, on a field by the lake. They tried to look for any clue about who it could be, but they failed.

"That was a terrifying aura," Elliot said. "It had the power of Death, but it felt much more regal and refined, but…"

"Ancient," Lance completed. "It wasn't an aura of modern magic. It felt old, eons old."

"True, that's what I was thinking of," s voice spoke right by the lake. Jameson walked towards them with Katarina behind him. "And Katarina here saw everything."

Katarina walked forward and kneeled in front of Elliot. The man laughed and took her up, "Don't do that. I'm not royalty."

"But you are my master," Katarina said. "And after the Championship of the Greats, I am your eye. And I saw what happened here just minutes ago."

Elliott narrowed his eyes and listened in. "What was it? Who did those auras belong to?"

"A Behemoth and a woman," Katarina said. "When you entered Imelda's bakery, I saw Clan talk to that woman."

"A woman that Clan talked to?" Elliot asked. "Do you know who she was?"

"I believe she was the seamstress that had the shop right in front of Imelda's bakery," Katarina revealed. "Trinidad, the seamstress."

Elliot froze after hearing the name. He then snorted and shook his head, not believing the report of the assassin. "Trinidad is an old seamstress who was strict and mad. She was always angry for no reason, but she never had any sort of power. You must have mistaken her or that person must have taken her identity."

"No, it was me."

Elliot once again froze after hearing the voice behind him. His friends were the first to looked at the direction of her voice, they all gasped. Elliot could smell blood and death behind him, something that didn't exist just a moment ago.

"Elliot, I have always wanted to tell you this, but I didn't get the chance to," Trinidad said. "Elliot, look at me."

Lance looked at Elliot who was still unmoving. He tried to reach for Elliot but the man was cold as a corpse, his lips pale, and his body shaking.

"What's happening?" Connor asked. "Elliot, are you okay?"

"That aura," Elliot whispered as he slowly looked behind him. "I have felt that before. So this is why it was so familiar. You… Your aura is similar to the twin tree behind my house and the one at the Forest of Gray Lake."

"Those twin trees are of my creation," Trinidad said. "I didn't want to reveal it to you just yet because I didn't have the guts to tell you."

"To tell me what?" Elliot narrowed his eyes. "That clue for the Valorian metal. Was that you too?"

Trinidad slowly nodded. "I couldn't face you after I just let Melissa die. I couldn't save her."

"She died of a disease, what could you do back then?" Elliot asked. "You are–"

Trinidad growled and took out a scissor. She leaped and then blocked several fireballs that were aimed at her. The fireballs were cut before vanishing into thin air.

They looked around but saw no one around them. It took a couple more seconds before another rain of flames were fired at Trinidad. The woman sighed and spun her scissors. The weapon grew several times in size.

"I'm too old for this," Trinidad said and spun, cutting the very air around her before spinning it around to block the fire.

"What is that?" Elliot gasped. "She's cutting through space?"

"My magic can cut through anything," Trinidad said. "And this pathetic piece of trash of an opponent is the partner of the one I just killed."

Trinidad vanished from where she stood. She then came back not a second later, carrying a large creature that was made of magma.

"That's–"

"A Behemoth," Trinidad said and threw it on the ground, right beside the one she just killed. "They have been running around and have been doubled in numbers after Elliot got stronger. These little assholes are really coming for you."

"Coming for me?" Elliot asked. "Why do they want to hunt me?"

"Elliot, you have the power to defeat the Forsaken," Trinidad said. "It's not refined for now, but I can train you. You will be under my care and I will supervise everything. You shall become the one that will defeat the Forsaken, and you should know that before it's too late."

"And why me?" Elliot asked. "I don't have the prophecy to say that it's me."

"Oh, young child, you do not need a prophecy," Trinidad laughed. "All of us know, and that's why you are the target of the Behemoths and the Paragons right now."

Trinidad cut through the space around her and created pockets in the air. She pulled corpses of Behemoths and Paragons from that pocket and she piled them all up. "These are all the seventeen Behemoths and Paragons who have threatened you just this month. They have been roaming about and right now, when you sensed us meant that your powers have once again evolved. All of you are now ready."

Elliot narrowed his eyes. "Ready for what?"

Trinidad chuckled and shook her head. "To learn Omniscience, the power to defy time, space, and even destiny itself."
