Chapter 522: Elliot vs the Azure King
From four different angles, all of the attacks carried significantly powerful auras and power.
One was an altar that fired a giant spearhead, another was a giant claw that reached out to the giant King, one was a gigantic flood of thorns that grew from the ground and were shooting up toward the enemy, and the last one was a dark and ominous wave of glitters that would erupt in explosions the moment it goes contact with its target.
The attacks created smoke that covered the torso of the Azure King. Its attack was halted, which meant that their attacks affected it even by a little.
Everyone waited as the smoke slowly cleared. It was to their dismay after seeing the unharmed Azure King. The attacks merely dented its strong metal body, but a scratch was merely a scratch.
"How will we deal with this guy?" Mammon groaned. "If it's like this, then how will we kill it?"
"We don't," Leviathan said. "We're just buying time. Reality Obstruction deactivated."
The blanket slowly vanished, the interior of the once huge orb of blanket slowly revealing itself. The Azure King felt Death's presence, so it immediately launched an attack on the demon.
It held its sword and immediately changed forms. The Azure King shrunk four times its usual size, the Excalibur shrinking with it.
While Death's attention was captured by the gravely injured Midnight, the Azure King flashed right behind the Guard. It held its sword back before thrusting it directly at Death.
"Straight on the chest!" Mammon cheered, but he was immediately looked at by Leviathan with a threatening glare. "Sorry. I just got too excited."
"This is bad," Irus said. "I thought with Death's current power, he could at least injure the Azure King. But I was mistaken. This is a one-sided carnage."
The Azure King took the sword back from Death, raising it again before launching multiple attacks that were too fast to be seen by a normal person's eye.
Death was being killed right before their very eyes. The Guard of the Forsaken which nobody in their group could match was being beaten without any means of retaliation.
"This is horrible," Elliot clenched his fists. "I know Death is evil, but this is beyond what I can comprehend."
"This is all part of our plan," Lance said. "If we intervene now, we won't get to weaken the Azure King and our chances of winning won't increase."
"Our chances of winning will not increase no matter how much we try," Elliot said. "This is madness, Lance."
They watched as the fight continued. Death tried to defend himself by creating black spherical shields, but they would always break at the face of Excalibur. No matter how many shields he created, they would all shatter with just one single slash of the sword.
A couple of minutes passed by and Death was yet to meet his demise. It was when his left arm was cut off that he released a scream of anguish and pain.
As his body continued to get cut by the sword, his face slowly looked to the side where Elliot was. Tears formed in his eyes as his lips slowly mouthed the words, "Help me."
Elliot froze after seeing the pitiful state of the Guard. This was the most powerful fighter of the Forsaken, yet he was powerless against the Azure King. This was madness, just like what Elliot was thinking.
"Did you see that, Lance?" Elliot said. "He's asking for help.
"We're not heroes, Elliot," Lance said. "We can't save everyone."
"But we can save him," Elliot brandished his sword. "I can't let this go on any longer."
"Don't tell me–"
When Elliot disappeared from where he stood, Lance could only facepalm. "Of course, he's still stupid enough to charge right into battle."
Everyone was stunned after Elliot was running toward the Azure King. They always knew that Elliot had it in him to do such a thing, but they never stopped hoping that he wouldn't. He always gets in trouble because of it.
"Then we don't have a choice," Frederick smirked. "Let's go."
"Finally," Connor grinned as he stretched his arm and morphed into his Infernal form simultaneously.
"I always wondered how powerful these Kings you spoke of," Ed said. "Now it's time to test if we really got stronger."
"I agree," Hope brandished his sword and changed into his Draconian form. "Now is the perfect time to test it."
Lance couldn't lie. From how much they've grown over the past months, he was hopeful that they have a chance of winning against the powerful beast. They were not the same people anymore. They were not the young Adventurers who would have a hard time beating mere Dungeon bosses.
"Alright," Lance sighed. "I guess I have no choice but to join you. Sun Form."
His body glowed with the burning yellow light. He took a deep breath as he brandished both of his swords, both tinted with the bright yellow aura. "Let's do this!"
"Hasty Aspire times ten!" Elliot was the first one to attack. The moment the Azure King was about to deal the finishing blow, he got in between them and kicked the chest of the King. He also kicked Death away but made sure that Galaxia– who was on the other side, would be able to catch him. "Galaxia, catch!"
Elliot landed on the ground after the kick. He raised his sword as the Azure King looked at him, the King looked mighty with its towering height of more than five meters.
"You're strong, but you're not strong enough to faze me," Elliot said, raising his sword. "You're a King, but you're nothing. I am the Creator!"
Without knowing where the courage came from, Elliot launched himself and struck his sword at the King. It wasn't hard to understand that the King was ways more powerful than him, but his tenacity was more than anyone. If he put his heart into it, he knows he can do this.
Their swords flashed in the air as their swords clashed. Elliot was glad that he was able to handle the swings of the Azure King considering they were a tower and a small ant compared to each other.
"Size doesn't matter, Elliot," Lance appeared beside him. "And you're certainly not alone in this fight."
His friends surrounded the Azure King. Even the Demons participated in the circle as they raised their guards and prepared for the attack.
"Everyone," Elliot grinned. "Can we really do this?"
"There's nothing wrong with trying," Frederick said. He raised his index finger and curled it, he then sighed and a bird that was made of flames appeared on the finger. "Azure Bird."
He fired the bird and it hit the King. The attack pierced through the King before it exploded behind it.
"Frederick?" Elliot couldn't believe his eyes. "What was that."
"That took about half of my power," Frederick smirked. "The rest is up to you."
"Charge!" Elliot yelled. "This is the end of the Azure King!"

One giant metal man stood on top of a mountain of corpses. It raised Excalibur and screamed to the ceiling. "Light will crumble and chaos will prevail. Despair will root and lives will be lost!"
