I Know the Secret to Surpass Level 100

Chapter 493: Leonardo

Gasha and Miles could not do anything after they witnessed Johnson getting defeated just like that.

"Frozen Calamity," Gasha cast a skill onto Johnson to keep him alive until the healers arrive. She froze the Guardian's entire body just before he died, stopping the man from perishing.

"He's strong," Miles said. "What do we do?"

"Where's Zeus?" Gasha asked. "This is not a Strike, but it's comparable to four Triple Alphas all at once. Miles, go to the castle and protect the king."

"What about you?" Miles asked.

Gasha sighed. "Don't worry about me and do what I said. Tell the others to protect the members of Trinity of Power too."

"Alright. Astral Form," Miles used his speed to get to the castle immediately. The skill he just cast allowed to enter the Astral Zone which made him travel instantaneously. He was in the borders of the realms and the natural laws in this dimension was unclear and messy.

As he was running, Miles looked up but didn't see Death there anymore, making him gulp in fear. When he went to the palace, he could only cover his mouth in shock.

"N… No way."

Miles watched the entire guards and Adventurers' bodies littered right before his very eyes. There was blood everywhere, the stench of death seeping through all the corpses.

He ran inside, only to see more bodies. Even the maids and other palace workers didn't stand a chance against Death. Everyone of them died a horrible death.

When Miles arrived at the throne room, his body froze after he saw King Leopold and his son, Prince Leonardo, kneel in front of Death who was sitting on the throne.

The Holy Crow and Raven Justice arrived at the throne room not long after. They were escorted by the four demons, Irus, Leviathan, Saitan, and Mammon who led them in front of the throne. Death smirked and made the two old men kneel beside the king and prince.

"It seems like we have an audience," Death spoke, and suddenly looked into Miles's eyes. He froze on the spot, feeling the intense gaze the demon was giving him. It was like a thousand blades cutting right into his soul.

"Blargh!" Miles coughed out blood as he was pulled back into the physical world. His body felt so week that all he could do was to kneel on the floor, continue to coughing blood.

"Take him away," Death ordered the four demons to which they obliged to. They escorted Miles out of the throne room, with the Guardian only seeing the rulers in fear.

"I'm sorry," Miles said before he finally collapsed.

"So, you are the rulers of this kingdom," Death said. He was still sitting on the throne with his right leg placed over the right armrest. "You harbor the Five Palaces which contained the power of darkness mixed with the powers of your own realm, yet you haven't thought of harnessing it. How dumb can you be?"

"We can't enter the Palaces," Leonardo said. "We have no power over it, so we just let it be."

"But one of them had been cleared not long ago, wasn't it?" Death asked, making Leonardo silent. When he didn't hear any answer, Death narrowed his eyes. "Old man who wears all white, you know something, don't you?"

"But no Palace has been cleared yet," Leonardo said. "It was just said that it was because the guilds wanted to cover up a tragedy. The Adventurers who went sent there to clear the Palace perished except for a few."

"I didn't ask you, boy," Death growled. "Old man in white, tell me or I'll destroy your son."

"Azure Palace was cleared!" the Holy Crow yelled. "I-I received the report from Pentos and they delivered the Azure King's crown to me as proof that they really cleared it."

"But you said…" Leopold finally spoke. "You ordered Pentos under my nose? This is treachery!"

"Leopold," the Raven Justice said sternly. "You were a coward. You wanted for Pentos to not interfere with anything because they have influenced your son. You hated them so much that you're willing to deal with the guilds to kill them."

Leopold froze. Leonardo slowly turned to face his father who had his eyes widened in shock. "Father, is this true?"

"Now this is entertaining," Death laughed. "This is why I hate humans so much. Every single one of you acts good and nice, but you're just as rotten as demons inside. At least us demons, we show our true colors and not fake everything."

"Father, is it true?!" Leonardo yelled this time. "My brother has always admired Pentos and you ordered for them to die?"

"It seems like nobody is listening to me," Death scoffed. "Continue then."

"I have no choice," Leopold reasoned. "If I knew that I have another son–"

"You're lying again, Leopold!" the Holy Crow was the one who yelled this time. "You knew all this time that Leonardo existed. You just denied him because a woman came and claimed that she brought a child that would become he Terran Eternal."

Leonardo turned to the old man in white. "Holy Crow? What do you mean?"

"You are not an illegitimate son of Leopold," the Holy Crow revealed. "He purposely sent you to the church after a woman came and told him that she carries a child of an Eternal. That was Lance."

"No…" Leonardo froze. "All this time… Y-You–"

The prince stood and exited the throne room. Death watch him retreat without harming him. "Ah, now that the drama's over, we can now resume to the agenda."

Death wrapped all members of the Trinity of Power in a dark purple liquid. They instantly fell asleep inside and was sent to the dungeons where they remained inside the liquid.

"Irus, Leviathan, Saitan, Mammon!" Death called. The four demons immediately arrived at the throne room. "Let's go now. The first Palace we're gonna harness is the furthest."

"The Purple Palace?" Saitan asked to which Death nodded to. "Alright. Let's go."

Five beams of light exited the palace and traveled to where the Purple Palace was. Everyone watched as the demons fire themselves in speed that was hard to comprehend.

Meanwhile, back at the Azure Scorch guildhouse, Elliot had reunited with his friends who all came to help them.

"What are you guys doing here?" Elliot asked. "It's not safe."

"Zeus specifically locked us up inside this four sided brick wall so nobody outside can see our movements," Frederick said. "I have received Gasha's message earlier and told me everything. That was why I sent the twins to search for these people."

"But why them?" Elliot asked. "Can we bring other people into this? This is why you told us to wait."

"I told you because I know things would get better," Frederick said. "Now, this is a big problem for us. This concerns everyone in this realm."

"And that is why I'm here.," Jameson said. "I represent all the other kingdoms outside of Avancia. Every kingdom needed to help us with this war, a war against the demons who wants to rule over us."

"Freddie?" Luck called out. "What do we do now?"

"This time," Frederick smirked. "We attack."
