NOVEL NEXT Chapter 208: Mecha Units
Olivia wanted to unleash her purple glowing chains at one of the mecha units, but a shadow came at her before she could do so.
It was General Arthur.
His body was now shiny in a metallic form.
Olivia swung her arms around and unleashed her purple glowing chains at him instead.
The purple glowing chains whipped at General Arthur at his waist and head.
Splatter.
The purple glowing chains hit but General Arthur's body splattered into splashes like liquid metal.
A sign that he was at Master Level of Mastery.
The splashed metal liquid moved and merged back with General Arthur's body.
General Arthur who was now in front of Olivia, pulled back his arms and his hands transformed into sharp spikes.
He thrust his hands at Olivia with all the force he could muster.
Clank.
More chains appeared and wrapped around Olivia's body, blocking the sharp spiky hands of General Arthur.
The chains moved and shot out at General Arthur's body immediately.
Splash.
The chains went through General Arthur's body and parts of his metallic body splashed out, leaving a gaping hole.
General Arthur's body solidified the next moment and the gaping hole narrowed.
Trapping the purple glowing chains within.
He lashed out at Olivia's head with his hands which were now in the shape of hammers.
Clang!
When his hands hit, it gave off a metallic ringing sound.
Olivia had to conjure more purple glowing chains and tried to use them to wrap around her head.
General Arthur didn't stop, and he swung his hands relentlessly at Olivia's head.
Clang!
Another of his hands landed on Olivia's head, this time, the purple glowing chains protected her, but the kinetic force from the impact still reverberated in her head.
She knew that she couldn't be on the back foot and had to take the initiative.
"Die!" Olivia cried out and more purple glowing chains shot out from her body at General Arthur.
Splash.
The same thing happened and parts of General Arthur's body splashed onto the ground and merged back.
But Olivia gave off a smirk and said, "You think that's all I got for my ability?"
General Arthur frowned at what he heard.
Meanwhile, Giuseppe was trying his best to get away from the mecha units.
All his attacks were blocked by the glow that engulfed the mecha units.
One of the mecha units was coming at him from behind, and lava sprayed out from the mecha unit's hands at Giuseppe.
Giuseppe tried to dodge but was hit by wind blades from the side from another mecha unit.
Frustrated, Giuseppe gave out a loud roar and the air surrounding him started to swirl.
A tornado slowly formed and started to slice everything that was coming toward him.
The tornado then increased its size and radiated outwards, slicing at everything that was in its path of destruction.
Thud.
Glows of different colors engulfed the mecha units.
But the tornado didn't stop, and it kept slicing at the protective glow.
Soon, the demonic beast cores powering the mecha units became dim and the protective glow of the mecha units also began to dim.
Boom!
Finally, one of the mecha units' demonic beast cores were exhausted and the protective glow cracked.
The mecha unit was immediately sliced into pieces by the tornado.
Seeing this the other mecha units leaped away from the tornado.
"Go and swap out the demonic beast cores." One of the awakened units who was behind the mecha units shouted.
The mecha units did so and they moved to an area where there were huge pods.
Mechanical arms then started moving and removed the demonic beast cores from the mecha units.
New demonic beast cores were later put into the mecha units.
Giuseppe saw this and he knew that he had to stop them.
He wanted to lunge at the pods, but he was blocked by an ice wall that had risen from the ground.
Ice spikes shot at him from above the next moment.
Giuseppe looked up and he swung his arms at the ice spikes.
Crack.
The ice spikes weren't able to withstand his invisible blades, cracking into pieces of ice shards.
Giuseppe then felt something grabbing onto his legs and he saw vines wrapping themselves around them.
Tsk, these again. Giuseppe recalled how Astrid had tried to stop him, and he couldn't help but grumble.
It was a pity that he couldn't savor her, and she chose death instead of a fun time with him.
Giuseppe tried to raise his legs and rip out the vines but couldn't.
He had no choice but to wave his hands down and the vines were sliced into pieces by his ability immediately.
Boulders came at him next, and he unleashed his ability at them.
Upon contact, the boulders were sliced into pieces.
"Is that all you got?" Giuseppe taunted the awakened units.
The awakened units glanced at each other, not really sure of what to do next as they'd given all that they could muster at Giuseppe.
"Get out of the way!" Someone shouted from behind and they split in the middle letting him through.
It was Kain in his sand form.
He lunged at Giuseppe with his shoulder.
Slice.
Giuseppe tried to unleash his ability at Kain, but his invisible blades could only slice off parts of the sand from his shoulder.
And before he could react, Kain was already in front of him.
Thud.
Giuseppe was knocked down onto the ground by Kain.
Kain gritted his teeth and smashed down at Giuseppe's head with his fists.
Slice.
Giuseppe unleashed his ability, and it sliced Kain's fists off his wrists.
Kain's hands dropped onto Giuseppe's body, and they turned into a pile of sand.
Ignoring what had happened, Kain used his arms instead to try and hit Giuseppe's head.
Thud.
Unfortunately, Giuseppe tilted his head and Kain's arms hit the ground instead.
In the next moment, Giuseppe raised his hands and aimed them at Kain's head.
He gave off a smirk at Kain and said, "Remember that girl with all the vines?"
Giuseppe tried to anger Kain and make him lose his mind.
But to his astonishment, Kain smirked back at him.
