Lastly, there are two silver coins and eight copper coins.

In this game, the quality of items ranges from low to high: gray, white, green, blue, purple, gold, red, and chaos.

Gray signifies near damage.

In summary, I picked up a pile of junk.

Roger felt a bit speechless.

He thought the damaged firearm could still be used, but it turns out he was mistaken.

However, fortunately, he still has a small dagger as a weapon, and some money.

It’s barely passable.

After all, he is currently broke.

Next, Roger continues to explore the seabed using the seahorse.

But the sea ahead has become deeper.

It was already difficult for the seahorse to dive in the shallow waters, let alone in deeper areas.

So Roger decisively recalled the seahorse.

But he didn’t let the seahorse sit idle, instead, he had it swim in another direction, exploring ahead, in the hopes of encountering land or an island.

Meanwhile, Roger continued fishing.

After some time, he reeled in the fishing rod.

The talent of Master Angler still didn’t trigger the extremely low probability effect, and he only caught some small fish, shrimps, and rotten planks.

The leveling speed has also slowed down.

“Perhaps I need to catch something of higher value.”

Roger pondered.

After having the character eat something to restore energy, Roger continued fishing.

Currently, he doesn’t have much else to do, so he can only fish while keeping an eye on the seahorse’s perspective.

Time slowly passed.

It seemed that dark clouds gathered and cast shadows, and the sky in the game became darker.

Plop.

A raindrop fell on the sea surface.

Soon after, countless raindrops followed.

It started raining.

The howling sea wind caused the sea to ripple.

The little orange cat reached out its paw curiously, trying to catch the raindrops.

But after feeling its fur getting wet, it quickly ran back to the cabin.

Roger also didn’t intend to continue fishing, so he had the character return to the cabin to rest.

“Just hope we don’t encounter a tsunami or something.”

Roger felt a bit worried.

With his small boat, if he really encountered a tsunami, he would probably become a meal right then and there.

Fortunately, after a while, it was just rain accompanied by a chilly sea breeze, and there was no tsunami or anything like that.

Roger also breathed a sigh of relief and controlled the seahorse to continue exploring.

“Wait, what’s that…”

As the slightly bored Roger was about to take out a snack, he suddenly noticed a slope in the seahorse’s line of sight, approaching the sea surface.

There’s land!

Roger’s spirits lifted, quickly saved the game, and then hurriedly had the seahorse swim towards the edge of the slope.

After confirming that there was indeed land and a pier ahead, Roger confirmed the direction based on the contact from his clone.

And so, he quickly controlled the character to pick up the oar and desperately row towards the direction of the land.

Before long, the small boat reached the shore.

The character leaped onto the wooden pier and tied the small boat with the rope nearby.

“I better keep important items with me.”

Apart from the lucky pearl his mother gave him, Roger doesn’t have anything particularly valuable at the moment.

The orange cat seems unwilling to get wet and did not leave with them.

Roger thought for a moment and decided not to force the orange cat to leave. He decided to stay and watch the ship.

There was a small wooden house by the pier, with a small shed next to it growing sunflowers. The light inside the house was on, indicating that someone lived there.

Roger controlled the character to go up and knocked on the door.

After a short while, the wooden door creaked open, and an old man with his hands behind his back and wearing a hat came out.

“Young man, what can I do for you?” a line of text appeared above the old man’s head.

Roger thought for a moment and let the character reply.

“Hello, I am a voyager who just arrived on this island. Could you tell me where I am? Is there a town nearby?”

Upon hearing Roger’s words, the old man glanced at the small boat nearby.

“So, you are a young man who just set sail…”

“This is Sea Serpent Island in the Gentle Breeze Sea area. If you want to go to the town, just follow the main road next to it.”

After obtaining the information he wanted, Roger didn’t leave immediately.

“Thank you for your directions. My name is Roger. May I know your name?”

The old man was about to turn around and close the door but reluctantly turned back when he heard Roger speak again.

“…”

“It seems you have a lot of questions.”

“Come inside first.”

The old man took a few steps and opened the door for Roger.

Roger was pleased to see this. It’s great when characters can freely speak.

It seems that this game world is truly realistic.

Without hesitation, Roger thanked the old man and entered the house.

The furnishings in the wooden house were simple, with a fireplace for roasting, a table, two chairs, a bed, and some storage boxes.

At the head of the bed, there was a photo hanging on the wall.

A shy-looking man in a sailor suit with a reserved expression, and behind him, a long-haired woman with a sunny smile.

Old Nielsen took care of Roger and sat him down, then picked up a water kettle and poured him a glass of water.

“I am called Nielsen. As you can see, my job is to guard the pier on Sea Serpent Island.”

After taking a sip of water, Old Nielsen looked at Roger, indicating that he could ask any questions he had.

“Mr. Nielsen, do you have a world map or is there anywhere in town that sells one?”

Text appeared above Roger’s character’s head.

“A world map?”

“Perhaps the town might have something like that, but all I have here is a map of the Gentle Breeze Sea area.”

After saying that, Old Nielsen stood up and rummaged through a box, taking out a map and placing it on the table.

Roger clicked the interaction button, and a map of the Gentle Breeze Sea area enlarged on the game interface.

Hastily, Roger took a screenshot on his phone.

“You seemed quite flustered when you came out, not properly prepared.”

“I’ll give you this map as a gift.”

Old Nielsen said, handing the map to Roger.

“Thank you for your generosity, Mr. Nielsen. This will be very helpful to me.”

Roger expressed his gratitude to Old Nielsen, then brought up another question.

“While sailing, I found this iron badge. Do you happen to know its origin?”

Roger took out the iron badge, hoping to trigger some hidden plot.

Old Nielsen carefully examined the iron badge.

“Oh, it’s the emblem of the Black Brick Pirate Crew…”

Old Nielsen returned the iron badge to Roger and continued.

“The Black Brick Pirate Crew was a notorious pirate crew in the Gentle Breeze Sea area over a decade ago, but they disappeared a long time ago, perhaps punished by the Sea God.”

“Where did you find this thing?”
