I have a wildlife zoo

After the sun bear comes the sloth bear! Its face somewhat resembles that of a dog.

Next is the well-known panda, with its distinctive black and white fur, looking adorably clumsy.

Although it's just a sign, it's still very popular, with several children touching the sign with laughter and glee as their parents take photos beside them.

After all, it is the master of cuteness among bear species!

Then comes the Asian black bear, grizzly bear, Eurasian brown bear, Kodiak brown bear, and the polar bear.

Each bear is in the same quadripedal stance, with a very clear contrast in size, the last Kodiak brown bear and polar bear being large and powerful, appearing to be almost three meters tall.

"Wow!"

"That size!"

Following the guide of the bears' signs, Tang Xiaoxin and Qian Keke hand in hand, unwittingly arrived at the first viewing trench!

Looking through a bush, they saw a black little bear happily rolling around on the green grass, its fluffy fur speckled with grass clippings and leaf debris, clearly having a great time.

There's a distinctive "V" shaped patch of white fur on its chest, which looks like it's wearing a white tie or a bright crescent moon, very beautiful.

Beside it was a large display board with a picture of an Asian black bear sitting on the ground, providing a simple introduction, "The Asian black bear mainly inhabits mountain forests; black bears in the north have the habit of hibernating and generally sleep in tree holes or caves during the day. They are good at climbing and swimming, and they eat fruits, buds, and small animals."

Next to the white tie of the black bear, a special note was added, "The most distinctive feature of the Asian black bear is the white moon marking on the chest, hence they have another nickname 'moon bear'!"

Tang Xiaoxin exclaimed in surprise, "So black bears are moon bears! I had heard of moon bears before and thought they were fictional animals."

Qian Keke, seeing the fluffy little black bear happily rolling on the ground, couldn't help but smile, "The little bear is so cute!"

The zoo had introduced two little bears over a year old, who had already become familiar with some of the environments in the exhibition area before it opened.

The little bear playing on the grass here is named Lele, a young male.

Little black bear Lele rolled on the autumn leaves, lying on his back with his round and chubby belly exposed, holding a broken twig, kicking it back and forth between his forepaws and hind paws, like a mischievous kid incessantly kicking a blanket, occasionally opening his mouth to gnaw on the twig, making happy sounds.

Even though he was all covered in leaves and grass and looked quite messy, he did not care one bit!

Merrily playing with the twig, he would occasionally turn his head to look curiously at the visitors outside with innocent curiosity.

The visitors smiled as they watched, commenting, "The little bear looks so happy playing!"

"He seems much more interesting than the bears I've seen in other zoos!"

"Isn't that the truth, when I was a child, the bears in the zoo were just in a pit, doing nothing but stretching their paws out to beg for food, while people above watched from a lofty position, laughing and throwing down some food. It's much nicer to watch bears like this one!"

"Seeing it play so happily, I want to hug the little bear and roll around on the grass with it."

Qian Keke looked carefully at the exhibition area, "Huh, is there only this one bear?"

"There should be another one, let's go on ahead and look!"

Arriving at another viewing point up ahead, they saw a little black bear climbing a tree.

It was seen hugging a tree trunk about as thick as itself with its arms, stepping up with its feet, and once its feet were stable, it continued to scramble up with its arms, gradually ascending.

Then it sat on top, nestling into a tree branch to settle down.

The little female bear named Huanhuan was relatively more timid and not quite accustomed to being observed by the visitors. She felt a greater sense of security staying up in the trees.

The visitors watched intently as the bear clambered up and settled in, bursting into exclamations of admiration, "Wow, so skilled!"

"I was worried it might fall off."

Someone asked with curiosity, "Wait, bears can climb trees? I thought if you saw a bear, you just had to climb a tree to be safe."

Tang Xiaoxin was just about to speak to Qian Keke when she noticed Fang Ye had come over without her realizing it. Her eyes lit up with surprise and she ran over excitedly, "Wow, Brother Fang Ye!"

Fang Ye nodded with a smile, responding, "Xiaoxin is here to play again? How is it, do you think our little bears are cute?"

Tang Xiaoxin was overwhelmed, "Wuwuwu, you finally remembered my name!"

Qian Keke teased, "Brother Fang Ye, it's been a few days, and you seem even more handsome!"

Tang Xiaoxin complained, "How dare you steal my line!"

The two little fans giggled and played, while the other visitors enthusiastically greeted him as well!

A little boy who looked about six years old seemed eager to come over but hesitated. His parent patted him on the shoulder, encouraging him, "Didn't you have a question just now? Now that the zookeeper brother is here, go ask him!"

Fang Ye noticed and took the initiative to walk over and crouch down to appear more approachable, revealing a gentle smile, "What's wrong, little friend, do you have a question?"

The child, seeing how friendly Fang Ye was, gained a bit of courage and asked, pointing at the little black bear in the tree, "Zookeeper, is the little bear Briar and Bramble?"

Even though the child's question was a bit unusual, Fang Ye immediately understood what he meant, "Are you asking if the original models for Briar and Bramble in 'Boonie Bears' are our exhibited black bears?"

"Mmhmm!" the child nodded earnestly.

Actually, Fang Ye hadn't seen "Boonie Bears" before, knowing only that it featured Logger Vick, Briar, and Bramble, but he was prepared for this question!

He smiled and said, "The Asian black bear has a distinctive feature, a white crescent on their chest!

Briar and Bramble do have a patch of white fur on their chests, but they are very robust and their fur is brownish-yellow. Considering their build and the color of their fur, they also closely resemble brown bears.

So, it's likely that the characters of Briar and Bramble drew inspiration from both types of bear."

Not only did the child look thoughtful, but the adults with children also listened with interest.

Another visitor curiously asked, "Zookeeper, isn't the black bear also called 'moon bear'? Is it because they have poor vision?"

Fang Ye raised an eyebrow, "The vision of black bears is average, but it's not so bad as to be blind. It might be because they're all black with small black eyes, which gives the impression of blindness."

"Zookeeper, I've heard that if you encounter a bear in the wild, you can climb a tree to hide, but judging by what we've seen now, it seems like bears can climb trees, right?"

Fang Ye chuckled, "Indeed, it's a myth that bears can't climb trees. Black bears are quite adept at it, zooming right up. Brown bears can climb trees too, but they might be slower due to their larger size.

Otherwise, how do you think bears eat honey? They definitely climb up the trees to get to the beehives.

You shouldn't think about running. Despite seeming somewhat clumsy, they can run at speeds of up to 50 or 60 kilometers per hour, faster than an Olympic champion. But not to worry, you don't have to outrun the bear, just be faster than your buddy."

The visitors all laughed, evidently familiar with that classic joke.

Fang Ye took the opportunity to explain to the visitors some more about the eating habits of black bears and their hibernation, before watching the little bear slip away.
