NOVEL NEXT Chapter 27: Getting Familiar with the Guildmates
After that episode, Chimecho took their job list and then proceeded to ring her bell while calling for Spoink.
Spoink arrived after some time, looking both nervous and hopeful. When she saw the Pearl held by Pikachu, her eyes lit up and she quickly rushed over.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Oh my precious pearl!"
Looking at the excited Spoink, Pikachu handed over the Pearl with a smile while saying that it was no problem.
"That won't do. When I saw Team Omnipotent Travelers who took on my job was a newly established team, I was really worried. I'm really sorry for doubting the both of you. Please, take these as a reward and my apology."
Spoink took out a bunch of stuff from her bag and put it in front of the both of them. Dante took the stuff and put it in the Treasure Bag. He checked the Item menu to see that Spoink has given them a Protein, Calcium, and Iron.
"And also, here's the payment for the request. Really, thank you so much! If I ever have any more tasks in the future, I'll be sure to designate the both of you."
Spoink gave the 6,000 Poke to Pikachu and then left while humming, constantly bouncing the Pearl on top of her head.
"That Spoink is rich…giving all this for such an easy task. Pikachu? Hey, Pikachu?"
Dante looked at Pikachu and found that he was staring blankly at the Pokes in his hand.
"We-WE'RE RICH, DANTE! As long as-"
"EHEM!"
Just as Pikachu was speaking, a cough interrupted the two of them.
Turning around, they saw Chatot looking at the both of them with a gentle smile on his face.
"Now then, let me tell you about another rule of being an apprentice of the guild. We don't charge you any tuition fees. However, 90% of any Poke's that you receive from completing a task will have to be handed over, like so…"
After saying that, Chatot moved so fast and took most of the money in Pikachu's hands.
"You get 10% in total!"
Seeing the 6,000 Poke in his hand turning into 600, Pikachu's face became red from anger.
"We haven't even talked about you deceiving us in that previous task, and now you stole our reward money!? You! You!!"
"What?! Deceive you?!! I have done nothing of that sort! See for yourselves! Look! The difficulty of this task is E, which is the lowest level!"
Chatot shoved the task post in front of the two of them. Both of them already looked at it when they received the task, so Dante and Pikachu also know the task difficulty is indeed the lowest.
The grades for the tasks are ranked from E to S, and then 1 star to 9 stars, with E being the easiest and 9 stars being the hardest.
"See? I never lie. And the guild taking 90% of your Poke earning is also very much true!"
Chatot left with a hmph after saying that, without waiting for Dante and Pikachu to reply.
"Calm down, Pikachu. The guild provides us accommodation, food, and early access to the Job Lists before other Exploration Teams. Them taking a part of our rewards is only reasonable. Though 90% is indeed a bit much…luckily they only take the Poke."
"Y-yeah, I guess so. Besides, we almost got 1,000 Poke from the earlier dungeon! We don't need the Poke rewards HAHAHA!"
Dante smiled at Pikachu that was trying to cope from having most of the money taken away.
"We'll get back at Chatot tonight! Let's eat ourselves stuffed at dinner!"
"Yeah! I'll eat three day's worth of food!"
Dante and Pikachu didn't have to wait for long and soon it was time for dinner. Hearing Chimecho's call, everyone proceeded to head into the dining room.
The dinner was mostly cut apples and berries. Everyone in the dining room began to eat while talking about their adventures during the day.
Pikachu already forgot about what he said earlier, focusing more on telling everyone the story about how he met Dante on the beach and then their adventures in the Beach Cave and the Drenched Bluff.
Dante himself only supplemented parts of the story that Pikachu missed. He was more interested in the adventures of the other guild members.
Soon, the time for dinner was over and everyone went back to their room to rest.
Dante and Pikachu chatted for a while before the two went to sleep, knowing they would wake up in another world.
Dante was also going to experiment whether he can return to the real world with Pikachu without having to sleep, by clicking on the return to the real world in the menu.
When he clicked that option, Dante felt his vision begin to darken and his head becoming dizzy.
'Isn't this the same when I traveled through this world!?'
That was the last thought in Dante's mind before his head hit the straws.

Dante opened his eyes and found the ceiling of his familiar room. Looking at the side, Pikachu was also there, looking around the room.
'So, I can forcefully 'sleep' in that world by pressing the return option. But is just sleeping the only requirement? I remember sleeping on the beach and the guild room, but I didn't return to the real world. What's the difference between those sleeps and the ones which returned me here?'
"Pika?" (Dante, what's wrong? You look confused?)
"Haha, it's nothing, just thinking about my ability to travel back and forth between our two worlds. Let's go to sleep, we'll walk around the place again tomorrow."
"Pikachu!" (Yeah! Let's go to the amusement park, okay? I wanna see the giant spinning wheel!)
Pikachu talked for a while more about what he was going to do at the amusement park before falling asleep.
Dante stroked Pikachu's head and kept thinking about his earlier problems.
'Hmm, the only thing I can think of is that, during those two times, I didn't go enter the dungeon beforehand. Is it possible I can travel back and forth the real world and the PMD world as long as I don't enter the dungeon first? *yawnnn* I'll just test that tomorrow.'
Pulling up the blanket, Dante hugged Pikachu and then let himself also fall into slumber.
