NOVEL NEXT Chapter 5: THE DUNGEON MIMIC
A few days past by and in those few days ami,luna and myself went into the dark forest to train to try master our magical spells and gain more demon energy while in the forest we fought alot of demonic wolves,imps and low level creature. While finishing up training and exiting the dark forest we saw another peerage struggling against a group of C ranked orcs.
We rush in and I told ami to heal the injured and I fired a big fire ball as a diversion and the leader of the other peerage use an ice wall spell to immobiles the orcs and Luna charge at the immobiles orcs and killed them and after we defeat the orcs the leader of the other peerage came to thank me for stepping in and help us and introduce himself and his peerage "my name is Kenji inoue her name is Mai and this yamada" so I replied "my name is mario nakano the one with the sword is Luna and the other one is ami and you don't need thank us We just saw that
you guys need help and we came to help out" Kenji replied "you guy need to be compensate for help us. do you guys need anything?"
Ami replied "money please" and I cut her off and said "what about you teach me that spell you use to immobilize the orc" Kenji replied "ok so slam your hand on the ground and say freeze all my enemies in a frozen pillar of ice wall" and then I chant the spell and I acquire a new spell now. Kenji ask me if that's all I wanted and I replied "yes and I hope to meet you again soon" and then we part ways and we start to head home and on the way home ami start to get furious and said "you idiot why didn't you you ask for compensation for helping him you know I don't do charity work" and I cut her off again told her "shut up and stop acting like a kid" oh that pisses her off even more and she kept going on and on until we go our separate way and I head home.
Three days later ami,Luna and I when to the guild to pick out an D ranked quest but there wasn't any so we go over to the reception lady and ask her "isnt there any quest D ranked or lower?" She replied "I'm sorry but there's no easy quest at the moment but we got a information about a dungeon in it lies a dungeon mimic" so ami replied "how much are we getting for the reward" and the reception lady replied "umm about fifty thousand each and you can keep the treasure if there's anything" right as ami about accept the quest I asked "what is the quest rank?" And she replied "oh it's a c rank quest" I knew it but I still accept the quest it's not because of the money but I want to get stronger to defeat the demon king.
And so off we go to the dungeon and when we arrive at the entrance I felt a strange aura coming from the dungeon and I said "oh hell no why don't we turn bac...." and before I finish speaking ami ran in shouting "treasure treasure treasure" and right behind her Luna charge in so I said to myself "why do I have to be stuck with a money loving narcissist and a sword loving psycho" and then I ran into the dungeon after them and once I caught up with them I said "don't you feel the strange aura" and ami replied "nope I only care about the treasure" oh that little....
And then we keep walking though the dungeon with no confrontation and ended up in a huge room with treasures and ami had a huge smile on her face (you know those cartoon smiles) and in the middle of the room there is a large treasure chest and ami was about to ran towards it but I grab her hand and ami look at me with an irritated look on her face and she said "why did you grab my hand I was about to claim the treasure before that dungeon mimic come" and I said "you idiot that's the dungeon mimic right there don't you know what a dungeon mimic is?"
Ami replied yes it's a small animal that can shape shift into anythin....oh that's the dungeon mimic huh" and then I took up a stone and hit the dungeon mimic with it and then the dungeon mimic turn back into it regular state and said "ouch that hurt you come into my home and hit me with a stone that's disrespectful" and ami replied "I don't care because we come here to defeat you and take the treasure" oh can't she shut up about the treasure and then I told Luna to the left, ami stay there to support and I go to the right.
And then our fight with the dungeon mimic begins I rush at him fire earth bullet at him and Luna swing durandal and he block both of our attacks and then I shout to ami and said use it now and I told Luna to close her eyes and then ami cast her illusion spell and then ami told us its ok now and then I saw the dungeon mimic standing there not moving so I ask her what kind of illusion did you put it under now and ami replied "oh I'm making it believe that it's a statue" and so I use my freeze spell and frozen him and I told Luna to cut him in half and then we complete our mission.
ami took a huge amount of treasure with her and then we head back to the guild to claim our reward and ami ask the reception lady if they want to buy them but she said "yes but we don't buy fake treasures" ami said "what are you talking about these are the treasure from the dungeon quest" and the reception lady replied "yes but dungeon rank c and lower doesn't have real treasure in them that's why nobody want to go this quest but I know a suck who would go from once she heard about treasure" and then the reception lady starts laughing and ami was piss and started to cussing and want to start a fight with her so pull ami out of the guild and Luna collected and hand us our reward money and we go our separate ways.
