NOVEL NEXT Chapter 112: Little Beast!
Lin closely followed every movement of the Little Beast but still summoned his status screen, as he wanted to know whether his new skill — Distortion — was increasing.

Lin glanced at the blue screen that appeared next to him and quickly understood everything.
"11% Distortion… So, by using Second of Relaxation, my Distortion increases by 10%? That means the skill can only be used about ten times…" Lin realized that the passivity of his skill was not entirely a blessing.
"Because this skill is passive, I won't be able to control its activation, which could create dangerous situations… Of course, that would happen only if I take too much damage."
Lin turned his gaze toward the already approaching Little Beast and sighed.
"I need to try to block every one of his attacks so I don't accidentally trigger Second of Relaxation, since I still need to use: Slow Motion Perception."
Lin made a quick decision that took only a few seconds, and during that time, the boy running toward him on all fours — had already caught up to him!
He suddenly jumped at Lin and raised his right hand with very sharp nails that resembled animal claws!

Lin, of course, managed to raise his weapon and thus block the Little Beast's attack, but the boy didn't give up and raised his left hand, attacking Lin with it!

Suddenly, the Little Beast vanished from his place and appeared behind Lin, starting to attack him with his hands!

Lin quickly turned and began deflecting every attack!

Countless yellow sparks flew in all directions, and Lin, thanks to his speed, was able to reflect all of the Little Beast's attacks, though it was difficult.
"This… is pretty tough."
The Little Beast was slightly surprised that Lin managed to deflect all his attacks, which made him smile, and then he vanished from the spot again!
Appearing once more behind Lin, he attacked!

And Lin barely managed to deflect!

The Little Beast disappeared again!
It was clear that he was going to repeat his actions!
Lin realized that too, so he began to continuously reflect the countless attacks of the Little Beast, filling the air with thousands of yellow sparks!
The arena erupted with countless voices. The spectators were clearly enjoying the spectacle, as it involved incredible speed from both fighters!
"That speed… I didn't think Void could keep pace with the Little Beast."
"You clearly don't know much about Void. They say this guy's speed can reach unheard-of heights."
"Then why isn't he using it against the Little Beast?"
"Most likely, he's waiting for the right moment."
The spectators continued actively discussing the battle between Lin and the boy.
Meanwhile, Lin, drenched in cold sweat, carefully observed his surroundings, as a few seconds ago, the Little Beast had once again disappeared from his view, and he suspected that the boy would appear somewhere near him again.
And just as he expected — the boy appeared.
But not next to him.
The Little Beast stood ten meters away from him, glaring at him with a furious look.
He clearly wasn't happy that Lin had deflected all his attacks.
He raised his head and roared like a wild animal. Then, he grabbed both sides of his cast-iron mask with his hands and began pulling them in different directions!
He wanted to break the mask!
The sound of light metal scraping filled the arena, though not everyone could hear it. But those who did — were shocked by the insane strength the Little Beast possessed to be able to do that!
"Aaaaah!!" the boy shouted loudly, and his cast-iron mask shattered into two pieces!
The Little Beast grinned brightly, revealing sharp teeth resembling wolf fangs!
He vanished from the spot!
"He became more dangerous," Lin frowned and immediately determined that he needed to avoid the boy's head, because he could easily bite him!
The Little Beast appeared behind Lin and jumped at him, swinging with his hands!
Clang! Clang!
Lin managed to block the boy's hands until he felt a sharp pain near the side of his abdomen!
He looked down and saw the Little Beast had sunk his teeth into his stomach and suddenly yanked his head back!
"Argh…" Lin felt significant pain, as a piece of flesh from his stomach had just been torn off!
The boy, with human flesh in his teeth, looked at Lin and smiled widely.
He spit all the flesh out of his mouth and prepared to attack again.
He vanished from his spot!
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Appearing again and attacking Lin, the Little Beast suddenly leapt and tried to bite Void's neck!
Bang!
Lin raised his knee and struck the boy in the chest, then raised his arms and struck him in the back!
Bang!
The Little Beast crashed to the sand at high speed but managed at the last moment to grab Lin's legs with both hands, leaving ten bloody-red lines!
"Damn…" Lin endured the pain that covered his legs. He quickly raised his blade and brought it down on the Little Beast!

To Lin's surprise, he managed to stab the katana into the boy's back!
But he frowned.
He didn't expect it to be this easy.
Without relaxing, Lin raised the katana again and was about to bring it down when he felt a strong sense of danger!

He felt as if a new sun had appeared near him!
"I won't make it-" Lin didn't even finish the thought before he immediately decided to activate his skill!

When the area of slowed time appeared, Lin immediately looked back and saw a two-meter flaming sword that, in that same second, was ready to slice through his head!
"Another reinforcement?" Lin quickly stepped back to a safe distance and realized who the sword's owner was.
It was that middle-aged man with the sword that was larger than he was.
But the sword was on fire.
"Could he be capable of manipulating fire?" Lin quickly thought and prepared to act.
But he noticed something strange.
The Little Beast, whom he had stabbed — stood up calmly!
Of course, he was in a slowed state, but his speed was still relatively good.
Suddenly, he turned to Lin.
Their eyes met.
Lin understood one thing.
This guy's speed was even more insane!
