I Cook Limitlessly In a Fantasy World

Chapter 57: Cradle

Lilian and Yelvina could clearly feel that the enemies were stronger.

Two Lord-ranks and two King-rank powerhouses!

It was too much.

The person who gave orders was a King-rank powerhouse, level 1000. He was at the peak of King-rank!

Arriving before Lilian and Yelvina, he removed his hood, exposing his face, beady eyes, and a bald head with seven dots on his forehead.

"Nice to meet you. I'm sure you must have realized there's nothing you can do in this situation."

"S-Save me!"

"Please don't kill me!"

"N-Noo!"

The people of Torion Kingdom and Belrik, who were all Ascendent-rank and some Awakened-rank who exited or those who didn't enter and just accompanied here, were killed without mercy by the two Lord-ranks and one King-rank.

Irnia's face paled as she saw a Lord-rank powerhouses walking towards her slowly.

"Nice figure." The figure muttered in a feminine voice and soon revealed her beautiful face with wavy blue hair. She paused a meter away from Irnia and looked at the bald man. "Boss, I need this one alive. It's been a while since I changed my skin."

"Huh?" A bulky, armed King-rank nearby covered in blood blinked. "Didn't you change it a week ago?"

"Shut up, Kordo. A week is a while."

'Who are these lunatics?!' Yelvina frowned.

"Now, now. You two can relax. We don't plan on doing anything to you two." The bald man smiled. "People of Lord-rank and above can become very good pills."

"Who are you all?" Yelvina coldly asked. "It's certain you come from an organization, but we have never seen any of you before."

"Of course, you haven't seen us. We are not from this continent."

"What is your purpose here?" Lilian frowned.

"To invert this Labyrinth and kill at least ten million people with it."

"What?!" Yelvin's face darkened.

Lilian narrowed her eyes. "It takes thirty days. You will not succeed."

The other King-rank, who was a pale woman with heavy dark circles, arrived and stood beside the bald man.

The other two Lord-ranks, the skin-changing woman and the bulky armed man, also faced Lilian and Yelvin as they finished killing others.

"You are wrong." The bald man showed his index finger. "We will invert this Labyrinth in one day."

"Impossible," Yelvina said, but her heart skipped a beat in fear. 'No way they can do that.'

However, the certainty in that bald man's words made her tremble at the possibility.

"It's possible," The dark-circle woman flatly said with indifference. "It's not that hard either. Any dungeon and labyrinth can be inverted as long as you find the tether point and break it."

"Tether point?" Lilian frowned.

"A point that anchors a labyrinth or a dungeon in this plane of spacetime. This entrance." The bald man looked at the Labyrinth entrance. "This entrance is connected to the exit that everyone knows appears once you defeat the final boss. All you have to do is find this exit on the last floor before killing the last boss."

The bulky-armed man laughed. "Look at their faces. Well, ladies. There exists a device that can find that exit. All we have to do is break it, since it's connected to the entrance, and you get an instant inversion activation."

Lilian and Yelvina knew their fates were sealed because the enemies were speaking, telling them what they planned to do without hesitation.

"Anything else you want to ask? We have to wait here, so we can also pass the time by talking," the bald man said with a smile.

'Lady Yelvina, communications are shut. Our people are coming, but they are only accompanied by a Lord-rank. They will die if they come here.' Lilian relayed, her fists clenched. 'They have to call for an emergency before getting killed, or no one will know what is happening here and what is about to happen.'

'Look at them. They will not give us a chance, but we two are still alive, so we can do something. I have an idea.' Yelvin replied. 'We will have to see what happens when our people come here first.'

"No more questions? Very well." The bald man snapped his finger as both Lilian and Yelvina were wrapped by vines.

"Waiting game starts, tsk." The skin-changing woman clicked her tongue as a large flower bloomed out of the ground beneath, on which she leisurely lay down and took out a book to read.

The other bulky-armed Lord-rank disappeared, leaving his words lingering in the air. "I am going to roam around this forest."

The two King-ranks, bald man and dark-circle woman, sat down at the table Yelvina and Lilian were using while facing the Labyrinth entrance.

The bald man poured tea for her and himself before sitting down and taking a sip. "Nice tea."

"Why are you doing this? Why kill ten million people?" Lilian asked.

"A necessary sacrifice for a greater cause. Well, nothing like that. We just need a lot of vital soul energy that is released when a person dies. The more intelligent beings that die, the better for us."

"For what?" Yelvina frowned.

"A necessary resource to save this world. Well, nothing like that. We just need it because that's a grade-0 priority task in our organization. We don't know what this energy is going to be used for, but it's important that we collect it and submit it."

Yelvina and Lilian couldn't believe their ears.

'How come we have never heard of this organization?' Lilian frowned.

'We can ask them. They are answering.'

"Where are you from?"

"Runebound Continent, but if you are asking about the organization, that's a mystery. The four of us are from the Runebound Continent, but we were merely recruited by this organization. If you want a name, this organization is known as Cradle."

"So you will kill 10 million people because of a task from an organization?" Yelvina frowned.

"For a good reward, yes. I'll be able to break through to Emperor-rank, and we will get other stuff which are normally hard to get." The bald man smiled. "How can we miss this?"

The dark-circled woman shot a cold glance at Yelvina and said, "What difference does it make if you kill monsters for a quest or humans for a task. If you want us to stop this, you can stop thinking about it because it will not happen."

"The world will go on regardless."

In the Labyrinth's first floor.

Twenty Adept-rank Adventures, all of them being level 200, were speedily moving towards the floor boss region.
