Chapter 82: Phantom Beast Seed Acquired! (2/5)
"Finn! You can't be serious!" Aokiji's face paled, the lamb he had just savored now felt heavy in his stomach.
"This isn't a joke, is it?!" Kizaru took a step forward, his voice sharp, disbelief flickering in his eyes.
With a casual smirk, Finn shrugged. "It's exactly as I said. The lamb you two devoured was from Grandpa Sengoku's office. And guess what? I even recorded it for you."
He pulled out the video phone bug and projected the scene onto a nearby rock. Though the surface wasn't as crisp as a white screen, it was clear enough to see Kizaru and Aokiji enjoying the lamb, oblivious to its origin.
"Turn it off now!" Kizaru barked, his hand shooting toward Finn, his expression no longer carefree.
"Easy now!" Finn stepped back with a grin. "You two ate the lamb willingly. I didn't force you, did I? But if you're feeling guilty, I could always show this evidence to Sengoku..."
Without hesitation, Aokiji appeared behind Finn, cutting off any escape route. "We should've known this kid had no good intentions from the start."
"Really? Now you're blaming me? You two were practically drooling over it! Well then, maybe Grandpa Sengoku would like to see this video after all." Finn's grin widened as he waved the video bug tauntingly.
"Get him!" Kizaru shouted as his body transformed into a beam of light, speeding toward Finn.
But Finn was ready. "Good thing I've got my trusty teleportation stick!" he muttered, activating it in a flash of white light.
In an instant, Finn vanished, leaving Kizaru and Aokiji standing there, dumbfounded.
"Where did he go?" Kizaru landed, his eyes scanning the area, perplexed.
Aokiji's frown deepened. "Teleportation… must be a Devil Fruit ability."
Meanwhile, Finn reappeared on his battleship, a grin plastered across his face as the system chimed in his mind: "Ding! Congratulations to the Host! Reward: Zoan·Phantom Beast·Human Fruit·Sword Immortal Form!"
Finn blinked. "What the… Sword Immortal? Now that sounds incredible!"
His excitement only grew as the system's voice continued, "This Devil Fruit has no side effects. You're immune to sea water and seastone."
Finn's eyes lit up. "No way! That's insane! I can have all the power with none of the drawbacks?"
Summoning the Devil Fruit into his hands, he marveled at its unusual shape—a small sword, radiant with an otherworldly aura. Without hesitation, he bit into it.
The moment he swallowed, a surge of energy coursed through him. His body strengthened, his senses sharpened. He felt as though he had ascended to a new plane of existence.
"Time to test this out," Finn muttered, focusing on the new power flowing through his veins.
In a flash, his body shimmered, cloaked in a radiant white glow. His appearance became ethereal, like a figure from legend. A powerful aura of a banished immortal surrounded him, and Finn could feel the transformation in his bones.
"Man, this looks amazing!" he said, catching his reflection. Even he couldn't help but admire his otherworldly form.
With a mere thought, a sword of energy appeared before him, its blade humming with raw power. "Whoa," Finn breathed. "This is no ordinary sword."
He leaped onto it effortlessly, and with a swift motion, he soared into the air, riding the sword like a skilled warrior from ancient myths.
"This is incredible!" Finn laughed. The sensation of flying with the sword was exhilarating—a mix of speed and grace, with the added bonus of looking effortlessly cool.
As he sped through the air, Finn spotted Robin on the deck below, enjoying the sea breeze. With a mischievous grin, he descended quietly, cloaking himself in a subtle aura that masked his presence.
Without warning, Finn swooped down, scooping Robin up into his arms and lifting her into the sky. She gasped in shock, preparing to defend herself, but when she looked up, she froze. The man holding her wasn't just any man. His appearance, his aura—it was as if she had been whisked away by a celestial being.
Her defenses melted away as her eyes widened in awe. "Who… who are you?" she whispered, her heart racing as she stared into Finn's radiant eyes.
Finn couldn't help but chuckle, enjoying Robin's reaction. The way she looked at him—like he was a dream made real—was priceless.
Even as he held her, Finn knew the effect he had. This wasn't just about good looks; it was his aura, his presence, his whole essence as the Sword Immortal that made him irresistible.
"Don't worry, Robin," Finn whispered playfully. "You're safe with me."
As they hovered in the air, Robin's confusion deepened. How could someone look so godlike, so untouchable, yet feel so real? She felt herself slipping into a trance, completely captivated by the man who held her.
For Finn, this was all part of the fun. He could feel her heart racing, her breath quickening. The way she looked at him now, with a mixture of awe and admiration, was exactly the reaction he had hoped for.
And why not? With the power of the Sword Immortal, Finn knew he was beyond the ordinary. He was something greater—a force of nature, untouchable and unforgettable.
"Mortals," Finn thought, a smirk tugging at his lips, "can't resist the charm of a true immortal."
