I Choose In The One Piece Class, Do I Have A Choice?

Chapter 314: Don't You Have Points In Your Heart?

When Tsunade agreed, the people of Konoha Village were more excited than Finn himself.

Her approval meant that Konoha Village would now be closely aligned with Finn, the towering figure who had come into their midst.

Hyuga Hiashi stood up, his voice firm. "In that case, Mr. Finn will officially be a member of our Konoha Village. Does anyone have any objections to him becoming the Hokage?"

For Hyuga Hiashi, this move was strategic. If Finn became the Hokage, their Hyuga family would secure an even more prominent position within Konoha, further consolidating their power. After all, Finn had come to Konoha thanks to Hiashi's influence.

At this point, no one in the village dared to object.

"I see no problem!" one person exclaimed.

"It would be an honor for Konoha Village to have Lord Finn as Hokage!" another added.

"Congratulations to Lord Finn for becoming the Fifth Hokage!" someone else shouted.

With those words of approval echoing in the room, the process of Finn assuming office began.

"Ding! Congratulations, Host! You've received an additional reward: Summoning Beast—Phoenix!"

Finn felt a rush of satisfaction as the system's prompt sounded in his mind.

This was a long-awaited reward.

Tsunade, standing by Finn's side, spoke seriously: "I hope you'll live up to the title and really contribute to Konoha Village."

Finn nodded, though in truth, his main motivation for taking the position of Hokage was to claim the system reward. Now that he had received it, the title of Hokage itself held less significance.

But for Tsunade's sake, he couldn't simply resign right away, especially since they had only just gotten married in name.

Finn's attention shifted to the ongoing situation in Konoha. He wondered about the upcoming Five Kages meeting. In the original timeline, Konoha had little influence at the meeting, and the Fourth Raikage had become the supreme commander. Now, as the Hokage of Konoha, would he be able to assert more influence?

With that in mind, Finn made a bold declaration.

"I hereby appoint Tsunade as Deputy Hokage, granting her full authority to represent the Hokage in all matters."

The room fell silent.

A Deputy Hokage? What was this?

Some people exchanged uncertain glances.

"Lord Hokage, you can't be serious!" Mitokado Homura said, standing up in alarm.

"Are you joking? You think this is a joke?" Finn turned to face Homura, amusement flickering in his eyes.

"Lord Hokage, please reconsider," Utatane Koharu added sternly. "If you're planning to disrupt Konoha Village like this, we cannot support it!"

Finn shrugged. "What's all the fuss? You'd think it's the end of the world."

Just then, Tsunade spoke up in Finn's defense. "I agree with Finn. His reasoning makes sense."

The room was stunned.

"Tsunade, are you out of your mind? Why are you supporting this?" one of the elders demanded.

"Yes, Princess Tsunade, there has never been a Deputy Hokage in Konoha's history!" another added.

"The rule was set by your grandfather himself!"

Everyone stared at Tsunade in disbelief. It was unthinkable that she would go along with Finn's plan.

Tsunade stood tall and calmly addressed them. "Finn asked me to become Deputy Hokage because he knows he's not suited for the position. He can't handle all the complex tasks on his own. I'm perfectly capable of managing Konoha's affairs in his stead."

Tsunade understood Finn's reasoning. While Konoha was in a vulnerable position, she hoped to steer it back onto a glorious path. Unlike others who might be motivated by pride or ambition, Tsunade saw Finn's approach as refreshing honesty.

In a world full of pretenders, Finn's bluntness stood out. He didn't hide his intentions—he spoke directly, without games. And sometimes, that kind of honesty was more valuable than anything else.

Tsunade found herself feeling conflicted. "When did I become so easily swayed by someone like him?" she thought. "Is there something about him that's different from everyone else?"

She looked at Finn, realizing she was starting to soften toward him, despite her earlier resistance.

"Indeed, Princess Tsunade, Master Finn's approach seems to be the most sensible," Hyuga Hiashi agreed, nodding thoughtfully.

"But if Finn doesn't want to handle Hokage duties, why does he still want to be Hokage?" Mitokado Homura asked, still puzzled.

"I don't know either," Hiashi replied, shaking his head.

Finn suddenly laughed. "Do you really think I want to be Hokage? If I had my way, I wouldn't even be involved! But seeing you all force Tsunade into this position—well, I couldn't just sit by. Giving Tsunade the Hokage title puts her at great risk. If war breaks out, she'll be at the top of the assassination list. But now that I'm Hokage, the risk falls on me."

Everyone fell silent, processing the weight of Finn's words.

Now they understood. Finn had taken on the role to protect Tsunade from the dangers that came with being Hokage.

The room grew tense as everyone turned their gaze toward Tsunade. Her heart raced, and her breath quickened.

She looked up at Finn, trembling as she asked, "Why are you doing this for me?"

Finn didn't answer immediately. Instead, he stood and pulled Tsunade into his arms. Without a word, he gazed at her, the silence heavy with meaning.

Tsunade didn't need to ask again. She already knew the answer.
