Chapter 313: Akatsuki Organizes The Fourth Ninja World War?
"Ready-made candidates???"
Suddenly pulled by Finn, Tsunade froze in surprise.
What's going on?
She glanced at him, utterly confused, until she saw him wink at her. His gaze seemed to say, You still don't get it, do you?
A jolt of realization hit her. She was stunned.
The rest of Konoha Village, on the other hand, was even more taken aback.
What?!
This guy is unbelievable!
After a few moments of silence, the truth started to dawn on them. Finn had been eyeing none other than Tsunade, the granddaughter of the First Hokage, all along!
No wonder he had lent her money and become her creditor. No wonder Tsunade had been paying him back—she'd been forced into it.
Now, everything made sense.
"So that's it!" someone muttered.
"I knew it! How else could such a powerful person come to Konoha without any apparent reason? I didn't expect him to be after Master Tsunade!"
"I wonder how Tsunade-sama feels about him. If they got together, it would be a great thing for Konoha!"
"But what if Tsunade-sama doesn't feel the same?"
"Don't be naive! If she didn't have some feelings, would she have repaid that debt to Finn? I heard he never forced her to do it—she did it herself. Doesn't that sound like someone who's a little embarrassed? Maybe she was trying to make a move without admitting it!"
"Damn! You're right! This makes perfect sense!"
"Wait, what do you mean... me??"
Tsunade was flabbergasted, pointing a finger at herself, eyes wide with disbelief.
"Yes, you, Tsunade. Who else could it be?" Finn smiled playfully. "Do you think anyone else in Konoha is worthy of my admiration?"
The other women of Konoha stood in shock at Finn's words.
What does he mean, 'worthy of his admiration'?
Is he saying that, aside from Tsunade, there are no other women in the village who even stand a chance?
Many of them couldn't help but feel frustrated, but no one dared to challenge Finn directly, especially when Tsunade was involved. After all, Tsunade's status as the granddaughter of the First Hokage made her untouchable.
"No, no, no!" Tsunade waved her hands in denial. "You don't understand. I'm much older than you think!"
Tsunade quickly found an excuse to reject Finn's advances.
Finn, however, just chuckled. "How could I not know? Think about it. I can control time, so of course I can see your age clearly. But I bet you don't even know my age, do you? Do you think I'm afraid of a little girl? I'm just teasing you. But don't worry, I call you 'little girl' out of fondness, not to put you down!"
Finn's words were meant to put Tsunade at ease, to relieve her of any pressure she might feel.
Tsunade paused. It made sense. With his power over time, maintaining a youthful appearance wouldn't be difficult. And if Finn was calling her a "little girl," then it was likely because his real age was far greater than hers.
"How about it?" Finn asked with a smile, sensing her hesitation.
Tsunade fell silent.
She had wanted to reject him, but now, with his words dismantling her excuses, she found herself at a loss for what to say. She didn't want to be too harsh, and she certainly didn't want to offend him. But there was no good reason left to dismiss him outright.
Seeing her pause, everyone in the village assumed she was only hesitating.
Some of them, particularly those with a stake in Konoha's future, were secretly hoping for a positive outcome.
Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu exchanged glances, their thoughts aligned. They began to consider the political and strategic advantages of having Finn and Tsunade together. If Tsunade were to accept Finn, it would be a huge benefit for the village.
Utatane Koharu approached Tsunade, her tone earnest. "Princess Tsunade, you're no longer a young girl, and you can't live alone forever. Someone like Finn, so outstanding and powerful, could be the one you've been waiting for. Don't let this opportunity slip away."
Mitokado Homura also added, "Exactly! Tsunade, if you accept Finn, you won't just resolve your debt, but your status will change completely. You could be at his side, and Konoha would gain a powerful ally. Think of it!"
"Yes! You're an amazing and beautiful princess, Tsunade. Only someone as powerful as Lord Finn can truly be your equal!" another voice chimed in.
"Together, you two make the perfect pair!" the crowd began chanting.
Some people genuinely hoped for their union, while others saw it as a strategic advantage for the village. Everyone's intentions aligned with the same goal: bringing Finn and Tsunade together.
Tsunade found herself overwhelmed by the growing pressure. The voices around her were pushing her in one direction.
What should I do? Her heart raced with uncertainty. She didn't want to make a hasty decision, but the weight of the village's expectations was impossible to ignore.
Just as she was about to speak, a Konoha intelligence ninja burst into the room, breathless. "Urgent news! A huge crisis is unfolding! The Akatsuki organization has activated the Gedo Statue and is preparing to launch an attack on all ninja villages, aiming to trigger the Fourth Ninja World War!"
"What?!" Hyuga Hiashi exclaimed, his eyes wide. "The Akatsuki?! Where did they get the confidence to do this?"
"It's true!" the ninja replied. "They have activated the Gedo Statue and are mobilizing a large army. Iwagakure, Sunagakure, Kirigakure, and the Cloud Shinobi Village have all requested urgent talks. The only village that hasn't declared its position yet is Konoha!"
The room fell silent as the gravity of the situation sank in. The Fourth Ninja World War was imminent, and Konoha's leadership was in turmoil.
All eyes turned to Tsunade. In this moment of crisis, she was the one who could give them the hope they desperately needed.
Tsunade took a deep breath, her mind racing. This might be fate...
Konoha could not afford to be in danger because of her indecision. She looked at Finn, then at the faces around her. She swallowed her hesitation and nodded.
"Alright," Tsunade said, her voice steady. "I promise you, Finn. I'll stand by your side."
