I Choose In The One Piece Class, Do I Have A Choice?

Chapter 101: Little Sugar, Do You Have A Lot Of Question Marks? (5/5)

As Finn was teaching Robin how to master Armament Haki, Tashigi faced Torrebol's sticky machine gun attack. She swiftly countered with a powerful slash of her sword, sending a wave of energy so sharp it pulverized the sticky "bullets" midair, leaving nothing but dust. The sword's momentum didn't stop there, striking Torrebol and drawing blood. The fight was over in an instant.

Tashigi glanced back at Finn, but what she saw was Finn busy teaching Robin—if it were anyone else, they might have given the pair a moment. But Tashigi wasn't one for hesitation, not out of malice, but because her nature was too direct. And that was something Finn appreciated.

"Master, he's too weak. He couldn't even take a single blow," Tashigi reported, her tone matter-of-fact.

"Oh?" Finn nodded approvingly, but then his expression shifted. "Wait... Is he dead?"

"Master, I think so... Did I mess up?" Tashigi bit her lip, her usual confidence faltering as she looked like a child who feared she'd made a grave mistake.

Finn's heart skipped a beat. The reward system he'd just accessed required him to capture members of the Donquixote Family alive, not dead. There was a strict quota, and if they didn't meet it... he couldn't afford to let any opportunities slip.

"System, does it count if the captured person is dead?" he asked quickly.

"Yes, Host. As long as the body is captured, it counts," the system replied calmly.

Finn sighed with relief. Crisis averted.

Robin, seeing Tashigi's unease, gently patted her back. "Don't worry, my little brother won't be mad at you. And if he is, I'll set him straight." Her tone was soft, calming Tashigi.

Seeing the camaraderie between the two women, Finn couldn't help but smile. He walked over and lightly tousled Tashigi's hair. "You did well. No need to worry."

Tashigi's eyes grew misty with emotion. "Master, you're always so kind."

Before Finn could respond, a small, trembling voice called out, "Help! Please, someone help!"

A young girl, no more than ten years old, rushed out of a nearby side hall. She had green hair, wore a blue polka-dotted dress, and a pink cape. Her crown sparkled under the light, but her wide, innocent eyes were what captured everyone's attention.

Tashigi's face lit up. "Oh my goodness, she's adorable!" She moved to hug the little girl, but Finn swiftly caught her arm.

"Hold on," Finn warned. "She's mine to hug."

He recognized her instantly. This wasn't a helpless child—it was Sugar, a dangerous user of the Childlike Fruit, capable of turning anyone she touched into a toy. Once turned, all memory of the person would vanish from the world, a terrifying ability that could doom even the mightiest.

Finn wasn't afraid, though. He had a secret weapon—his resistant skin, which rendered him immune to any magical or law-based powers.

"System, can my resistant skin block the Childlike Fruit's ability?" Finn asked, just to confirm.

"Yes, Host," the system affirmed.

Relieved, Finn approached the girl with confidence, scooping her up in his arms. Sugar, caught off guard by his embrace, blinked her large eyes and put on a pitiful expression. "Big brother, there are so many bad people around here. I was so scared! If you hadn't come, I don't know what would've happened to me."

As she spoke, she placed her hand on Finn's chest, fully expecting him to turn into a toy.

But nothing happened.

Confused, she tried again. And again.

Still, nothing.

"What's wrong, little one? Do you have some... unanswered questions?" Finn asked, his smile kind but with a glint in his eyes that Sugar found unnerving.

Realizing her powers were useless against him, panic set in. She looked toward Tashigi for help. "Big sister, can you hold me instead? It's uncomfortable in his arms."

Tashigi, oblivious to Sugar's real identity, happily agreed. "Of course! Come here, sweetheart."

The moment Sugar was transferred to Tashigi's arms, she activated her ability. In an instant, Tashigi was transformed into a giant plush bunny.

"Master!" Tashigi cried out in surprise, but to her horror, it seemed no one else remembered who she was—except for Finn, who gently patted the now plush rabbit.

"Don't worry, the young master is here," Finn said, trying to soothe her. But as he held the bunny, Robin looked on in confusion.

"Finn, what are you doing? Why are you talking to a toy?" Robin asked.

"Well, that would be due to the Childlike Fruit's powers," Finn replied with a knowing smile, his eyes fixed on Sugar.

Sugar's face went pale. He knew! And worse, he was immune to her powers.

Panic surged through her, and she bolted for the door, hoping to escape. But before she could make it far, Finn grabbed her by the collar, lifting her effortlessly off the ground.

"Now, now, where do you think you're going?" Finn teased.

Sugar's legs kicked frantically, but it was no use. Finn looked her in the eye, then, for dramatic effect, rolled his eyes back and let his tongue loll out as if he were a ghost, sending the little girl into a terrified frenzy. She let out a high-pitched scream and promptly fainted in his arms.

"Tashigi?" Robin gasped, suddenly remembering the plush bunny beside her. "Oh my god! I forgot all about you!"

With Sugar unconscious, Tashigi was restored to her human form, falling into Finn's arms. Tears streamed down her face as she clung to him like a child.

"Master, I thought I'd never come back," she sobbed.

"Shh, don't cry," Finn said softly, stroking her hair. "As long as I'm here, you're safe."

Tashigi buried her face in his chest, her sobs gradually subsiding, feeling safe once more in Finn's embrace.
