Chapter 260: Tier 5 Lord Dark Beast (2)
Entering the Runic Space, Nash regained absolute clarity as his mind worked in overdrive, using all his calculation power to find a solution.
Facing a Tier 5 Lord-Level Dark Beast with 320 billion combat power, Nash struggled to find a solution.
Studying the Abyssal Monarch's runic program and comparing it with the data he'd gathered, Nash could easily predict its next move.
Unfortunately, he estimated that even with a Tier 5 runic weapon, he wouldn't have enough power to wound the Abyssal Monarch.
In terms of speed, unless he used the [Overlimit Module System], he couldn't dodge in time.
Being only at the Void Commander rank, he felt helplessness for the first time.
Though he could see through the enemy, he lacked the power to act on it.
If only he could control—no, orchestrate a battle between his team and their enemy as perfectly as he envisioned, killing the Abyssal Monarch would be simple!
Suddenly, his mind sparked.
While he couldn't control everyone's movements, he could guide them through the [Team Module System]'s communication port.
Though it wouldn't be precise or instantaneous, if they followed his instructions to the letter, orchestrating a perfect battle would be possible.
Analyzing the abilities, fighting skills, and habits of the Special Team members, Nash began to form a plan.
---
Soon, after nearly a minute, as everyone partially replenished their energy and healed their injuries, they called Skylar to fall back.
"In the next battle, follow my lead," Nash said as they prepared for another attack.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
"Just trust me. Open your communication port, and I'll tell you what to do. Follow every word and don't hesitate!"
With no time for more talk, they nodded, trusting Nash for now.
Opening their communication ports, they saw a private message from Nash.
It detailed where they should move, the speed at which they should get there, and their subsequent actions.
Like puppets on strings, they followed his words, controlling their pace and even the void energy they emitted.
As Skylar retreated to recover his energy, the Abyssal Monarch soon turned its attention to them.
Standing from a vantage point, still in the Runic Space, Nash began issuing various orders.
Like controlling chess pieces on a board, Nash calculated and predicted the Abyssal Monarch's next moves, issuing precise micro-orders to the team.
Moving Natasha forward, he told her not to bind the enemy in place but to disorient its senses.
Wrapped in the power of shadow, the Abyssal Monarch grew confused, instinctively attacking the closest, most intense energy source.
Seizing the moment, Nash pushed Hobis forward, instructing him to strike with his strongest attack at a specific angle and speed.
Though puzzled by such precise orders, Hobis, long accustomed to following Skylar, instinctively obeyed Nash's commands word for word.
Suddenly, the Abyssal Monarch turned its attention to him.
Unable to withdraw his attack, Hobis could only commit to it, recalling Nash's every word as he channelled all his power into the tip of his spear.
Fueled by the raging element of fire, the spear's tip effortlessly pierced the Abyssal Monarch's flesh.
Unfortunately, as his attack landed, the enemy's counterattack quickly followed through.
Exhausted from the concentrated strike, Hobis could only watch wryly as the Abyssal Monarch prepared to crush him.
But just as the blow was about to land, a bunch of shadowy vines suddenly entangled the Abyssal Monarch's limbs.
Watching in shock, Hobis didn't forget to look at the Communication port for the following order.
Reading the order, Hobis could only curse Nash in his mind. The next order wasn't to retreat but to widen the wound.
Twisting his spear as he pulled it out, he braced his other hand, drove it back into the wound, and tore the flesh apart.
Digging, clawing, stabbing, and burning, he enlarged the Abyssal Monarch's wound to the size of a ball.
Snap~
Seeing the shadowy vine broke, Hobis looked toward the communication port, hoping the next order was to retreat.
Unfortunately, to his shock and despair, Nash didn't change the command. Instead, he ordered him to intensify the attack, using not just his hands but his teeth and mouth.
Cursing Nash the hundredth time in his mind, Hobis pressed on, biting and tearing into the Abyssal Monarch's flesh.
At this moment, Hobis knew he was at his wits' end.
With Natasha reeling from the backlash of her collapsed ability, Hobis braced for the Abyssal Monarch's inevitable counterattack.
Even so, knowing he was doomed, he pressed forward, trusting Nash's orders word for word.
Soon, as the Abyssal Monarch reached for his head, Hobis thought it was over.
Though the attack might not kill him, his role in this training would end.
Determined to do his part, he tore into the dark beast's flesh with all his strength.
Suddenly, just when he thought it was over, the Abyssal Monarch, poised to crush him, suddenly slipped and toppled to the ground.
"What happened?"
Unable to believe he just survived another counterattack, he checked the communication port for new instructions.
To his surprise, Nash's order remained: attack, attack, and attack.
With no time to think of anything else, Hobis gritted his teeth and continued his assault.
---
Meanwhile, watching the spectacle, Nash grinned.
"I didn't expect it to be so easy…"
Using Hobis as a spear to damage and draw the Abyssal Monarch's attention, Nash instructed the others to attack in a relay.
One group held back the Abyssal Monarch, then another took over, and another, until Natasha recovered and the cycle began anew.
Though they couldn't deal significant damage, their unique genetic abilities, strength, and weapons achieved initial control.
Nash only needed to manage the intensity, power, and timing to keep the Abyssal Monarch from touching Hobis.
While it seemed simple, Nash was burning through billions of computational cycles to synchronize their movements.
From their powers, skills, and habits to every move and ability of the Abyssal Monarch, Nash calculated and predicted everything to keep it seamless.
A single wrong move or mistimed action could knock Hobis out of the fight.
Positioning all the chess pieces perfectly, Nash sighed in relief, waiting for the boss's health to drop to zero.
