NOVEL NEXT Chapter 21: I was the target!
"I can't take a chance on this; I've come too far for my plan to fail. Even just the idea of dating Prisca disgusts me. Instead, let me go over to Ben and see if I can't obtain additional details from him. But I must exercise extreme caution because if I make a mistake, I'll be back at square one, or worse, in hell.
Brian walked to his desk for studying. He sighed deeply and put his hand to his head. "I've been under more stress lately, I even forgot to study. He said, opening his school bag, "But first, let me check my schedule.
In order to get the schedule, Brian unzipped his book bag. He discovered that he didn't have any tests till Monday when he looked at the schedule. He put his hands on his neck and inhaled deeply.
" We won't be writing until next Monday. That sounds like music to my ears, wow. I was under a lot of stress because I thought we would start this week" . He added as he was making his way to his bed, "I'm going to start reading my books on Saturday because I'm not in the mood right now". Brian tossed and turned all night, and then fell asleep.

The time now was five in the morning. He got out of bed and went to the bathroom. Once he was done, he dried off with a towel and went to his room. After applying body lotion, he examined himself in the mirror. He observed that a scar around his right nipple.
"when did I get this" . As he walked up to the mirror to take a closer look, he said. "Oh my God, did that scumbag mark me. I should be thankful that I didn't stroll around my parents shirtless because this is so embarrassing".
He changed into his uniform and proceeded to the kitchen to prepare himself some food. He consumed his meal while watching for his father to finish so that he could drive him to school. He yelled at his father, "Dad, we're running late, please hurry up!"
Brian's father responded, "so now the world should stop because you finished before me." Brian guffawed. "I'm giving you the taste of your medicine" . After finishing up his preparations, Brian's father dropped him off at school. Brian walked to class and ran into Prisca while doing so.
She said, "Hey Brian, how are you?" "Hi P, I'm good and you?" . I'm terrific, she exclaimed. "it seems like you're in good mood what happened?" . "do you know those videos we took yesterday, I posted them and they reached 20k already"
"that's mad what!?" . "I'm telling you it's crazy" . "atleast you are going to be rich" . "but I don't care about that" . Oh no, I didn't realize you were already quite wealthy. Anyway, P, I've got to dash to the cafeteria to get a drink of energy. "oh why? , you didn't sleep well" . "the thing is I was watching a series I only slept around 3 am" . "okay then, let me also go to my class" . As he walked away, Brian said, "see you later P."

"It's a good thing that I escaped earlier I can't stand that girl, I can't believe how cruel she is at such a young age I'm sure that once she's older she will turn to a demon with that cruel heart of his" ,he stated as he approached the cafeteria.
"I really should get myself an energy drink or coffee." He added with a heavy sigh, "I didn't sleep well, I even dreamed about being in that location. "I'm worried that if this plan doesn't work, I'll be stuck with those awful people for the remainder of my high school year. Okay, I'll try my luck with Ben, and I hope he won't become suspicious of me".
After purchasing the energy drink from the cafeteria, Brian proceeded to class. The teacher showed there and informed them that they would not be attending any lessons and that they should instead study independently.
Since he frequently gets sidetracked at home and had no friends in his class other than Teddy, who was incarcerated, Brian made the decision to take advantage of the chance to concentrate on his studies. No one dared to talk about him or make fun of him once they found out he was a member of Prisca's group.
Now when it was time for a break, Brian hurried to see Ben. Although Prisca had a large number of friends, Benjamin was the one who knew her best. Brian made the decision to approach him first in an effort to exploit Prisca's vulnerability.
He had sufficient proof to imprison them, but he was unsure how to apply it. He was most concerned about taking the evidence to the police only to have it destroyed, which would have put him and his companion in serious jeopardy.He was especially interested in finding out if Prisca's father was aware of or involved in what his daughter was doing.
The fact that Prisca and Benjamin were not in the same grade—Benjamin was in grade 11c while Prisca was in grade 11B—gave Brian an advantage because he didn't have to justify his need for a private conversation with Ben. Ben was fortunately in his class. When Brian entered the room, he grabbed him by the hand and led the way outside.
Ben questioned, "What the fuck dude, what are you doing?".
"come with me I want to ask you something important" ,he replied.
Ben pulled his hand. He looked around and said, "Okay fine I'm coming you don't have to hold me like that what will people think?"
They moved in the direction of the chair by the tree. When they arrived, Brian wiped the chair with the towel in his pocket before sitting down. "it's already cold as it is, how can you make us stay in under the tree's shades are you mad" ,said Brian.
"Sorry, but I can't afford to risk having what I'm going to ask you overheard by others". He grabbed Ben's hand to force him to stay in the chair and stated, "I want it to stay between us". He pointed at Brian and said, "Okay, this is getting weird. I hope you're not about to express your feelings because boy, I'll kill you if you do".
Brian grinned."Do not even imagine of being my type since you are not. You're not entirely wrong, though, that I'm preparing to confess, just not to you," he said. Ben merely glanced at Brian, he made no comment.
"I'm planning to confess to Prisca, but I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do," Brian said in response. I mean, after all, she's my monster," he remarked, glancing at Ben. Ben's mouth fell and his eyes grew wide, but he said nothing.
(What is this? I assumed that Brian would make fun of me or at the very least be upset, I had not anticipated this kind of response at all), Brian said inaudibly."Ben why are you not saying anything you're making me scared as I already am dude", he said, raising his eyebrows while looking at Ben.
"Oh, um, the point is, I... was... not... at all expecting that, you caught me off guard, he stammered. "I wasn't expecting that either that I would fall inlove with our boss, but I just couldn't help my self I know I just knew her for a few days that is why this is driving me crazy" , he stated while wiping his face with his hands. "But in order to approach her, I just need to know a little bit about her. What she likes and hates must be known".
Ben exhaled deeply. "Brian He added, his eyes reddening, "I think there's something essential you need to know. He swallowed his saliva and said, "I like Prisca."
Brian says inaudibly, (Oh, so this explains why he behaved in such a manner when I told him I liked Prisca. How could the poor guy even fall in love with that little demon?He needs some prayers).
"What!?, uhm, I didn't know that you also like her; now that I know, I'll back off", he said. "No, don't. I'm not telling you this because I want to stop you from approaching her. Okay, don't misunderstand me", he said.
"Oh, I don't think that I follow", said Brian. "I'm telling you because I care about Prisca a lot and I have loved her since we were kids, but I didn't have the courage to tell her", he said. Brian didn't respond; instead, he nodded.
He stared at Brian and continued, "What I'm going to tell you is essential. Please don't take it the wrong way or do anything that you will regret later.
Brian took a sigh and responded, "Okay." "Prisca loves you, and he has loved you since the first time you got into this school, but he was not brave enough to tell you about it."
Your friend's unfortunate outcome was intended from the beginning. She knew you two were great friends, so she wanted to date him so he could become closer to you. She made the decision to ruin your friend's reputation by locking him up after he turned her down in order to have you run to her. The shock of the revelation caused Brian's eyes to expand, his heart to beat rapidly, and his body to tremble.
