Chapter 56: Learning Through Watching
Chapter 56: Learning Through Watching
“By the way, I really didn’t expect you to pull off No Thought Shadow Kill! Have you known this move all along?”
Thinking back to how Yake suddenly unleashed that No Thought Shadow Kill, Aelgiss still felt a bit bewildered.
“Nope! I just learned it a moment ago. I’d never heard of it before!”
“Whoa, you just learned it? Are you sure? Are you sure you’re not pulling my leg?”
Hearing that Yake had just learned the move scrambled Aelgiss’ brain.
“Yeah, and honestly, it wasn’t as hard as you said! I picked it up pretty easily!”
Recalling the process of executing the move, Yake felt that it wasn’t particularly difficult. So how come she said that only about five people in the world could use it?
“Are you really Yake? Are you sure you weren’t swapped out for someone else?”
Aelgiss still couldn’t believe Yake could learn it so easily; she was convinced he must have been replaced with someone else.
“I am really Yake, quit poking me like that! It’s tickling!”
Seeing the Little Princess checking if he was the real deal by poking at him made Yake want to laugh and cry at the same time.
“Hmmm… Let me ask you a question. Do you know who I am?”
“Aelgiss Platin. The Little Princess of the Blood Clan. Any issues?”
“That’s not what I meant! I meant, from before, who I was.”
Aelgiss was super confident about this question because she had once been a guy on Earth. She had only shared this info with Yake. If he was the real Yake, he would definitely know!
“A little girl who used to play games on a place called Earth and then got transported to this world?”
Well, it seemed like this Yake was indeed the one she knew.
Although hard to believe, the Little Princess had to accept reality: Yake had an extraordinary talent for learning.
After the battle, that woman came over to chat with Yake.
“Oh, no, no! You’re giving me too much credit. I just imitated what you did, and it only succeeded this one time, so I can’t call that talent.”
Yake friendly extended his right hand, wanting to shake hers.
“Don’t be modest! If you could use the No Thought Shadow Kill once, the second and third times will definitely be no big deal. By the way, may I know your name?”
“Oh. Sure, no problem! My name is Yake, Yake Boland.”
“Got it. Yake Boland. I’ll remember that. My name is Aira, Aira Seymour.”
Upon hearing Yake’s full name, the woman introduced herself as well.
“Aira Seymour… I feel like I’ve heard that name somewhere.”
Listening to that name, Yake felt a strange familiarity but couldn’t recall where he had heard it.
“No worries! I was just practicing a bit. I’ve always enjoyed challenging various cities around the world, so if you’ve heard my name before, that’s pretty normal. Well, till we meet again, Yake! I hope next time we can spar properly.”
Aira smiled, shaking Yake’s hand before picking up her spear to leave.
“Oh! Next time, I’ll work hard to get as strong as you—no, I’ll be stronger! Then we can really go at it!”
“Alright, I’ll be waiting for that day.”
Yake waved goodbye to Aira. Just as he turned to leave with the Little Princess, he noticed something rather unfortunate.
The Little Princess seemed to be sulking and was jealous because of earlier events.
“Yake, are you unhappy with me? Chasing after a woman who just wiped the floor with you, and chatting her up like that?”
Aelgiss glared at Yake with an icy expression, making him feel like the temperature had dropped below zero.
“No, no! Ael, let me explain! She was just so enthusiastic; I couldn’t be cold to her! Plus, since she wanted to spar next time, I had to respond!”
Seeing the Little Princess getting mad because of his chat with that woman, Yake found himself shivering while trying to explain.
“Oh? Is that so? What about we find a place to spar, just the two of us? Don’t worry! I’ll give you a warm whipping of love!”
“Please don’t do that! I can’t handle that kind of love! Plus, I feel like that’s not sparring; it’d be a total beat-down!”
“Eh? How could that be? Am I that kind of person who goes all out against my own servant?”
“I think you really are.”
“Is that so? Since you think I’m like that, I’ll stop pretending! Die!”
Aelgiss whipped out her Light Whip and swung it at Yake.
“Ahhh! Help! Somebody! I’m being murdered!”
Yake hugged his head and dashed around the Gladiatorial Arena, frantically shouting.
“Shut up! Even if you scream your throat hoarse today, no one will save you.”
“Scream my throat hoarse, scream my throat hoarse!”
“You really are saying that?!”
In the end, to calm the upset Little Princess, Yake successfully appeased her anger by treating her to twenty chocolate buckwheat pancakes.
“Don’t think that just because you’re buying me good food, I’ll forgive you. Don’t forget who gave you the money you have now.”
“Okay, okay! I promise I won’t talk to any other girls again. Are you happy now?”
“It’s not about not talking to other girls! It’s that without my permission, you can’t talk to any other girls! After all, I’m not a devil or anything.”
【What’s the difference between it being said and not being said?】
Watching the Little Princess enjoy her buckwheat pancakes, Yake silently mocked in his heart.
“Here, these three are my treats for you. Enjoy.”
“Then I’ll be very grateful and enjoy them.”
Catching the pancakes Aelgiss handed to him, Yake wasted no time sinking his teeth into them.
