"Come in, Jaxon!"
After Jaxon entered, he saw Helen and Tony.
"Tony, Helen!"
Helen looked at Jaxon and asked, "I heard from Tony that you recommended me? How did you know about me?"
"Of course it's because of your talent that I noticed you. After getting to know you, I realized that you are still so young and have unlimited potential. And, of course, you are also very beautiful."
Helen was very happy to be praised by Jaxon, "You have good taste."
Jaxon continued to compliment her, "My judgment has never been wrong when it comes to beautiful women. Dr. Helen is indeed both knowledgeable and capable, as well as beautiful."
Helen had already fallen for him. In terms of appearance, Jaxon completely met her aesthetic standards. Unexpectedly, Jaxon also recognized her knowledge and abilities.
In response, Helen's favorability towards Jaxon doubled.
Tony saw that if the two continued chatting, they might end up going on a date.
So he hurriedly interrupted their conversation and asked, "Jaxon, why are you here?"
"Nothing much, I just took advantage of today to come and see the state of your laboratory. It looks pretty good now."
Research on nanotechnology had just begun, and there had been little progress. But Tony had seen its feasibility. In other words, nanotechnology was indeed achievable.
If he were to study it slowly on his own, it would probably take seven to eight years, or even ten years. With the addition of Helen, the progress would be much faster.
Tony was a little excited, "Nanotechnology is indeed feasible, but it will probably take some time to achieve mature nanotechnology. If all goes well, we can complete it in a year."
"One year is pretty good."
Helen interrupted and said, "If it weren't for me, he alone might not be able to complete nanotechnology in ten years."
Tony was still stubborn, "I don't need ten years. Five at most. Okay, maybe seven years."
Tony was such a narcissistic person, and he also implicitly acknowledged Helen's excellence.
"So, Tony, you have to thank me for recommending Helen to you."
"Yes, I thank you. I would have appreciated you more if you hadn't shown up and tried to have an emotional exchange with her, delaying our work."
Jaxon smiled but said nothing, "Work is not everything in life. Only when you are in a good mood can you be more efficient at work. Do you think I am right, Helen?"
"I think that makes sense."
"Let's have a drink together after work."
"Sure."
Tony was speechless. Sure enough, Jaxon must have had other ideas when he recommended Helen.
---
Jaxon and Tony chatted privately for a while. Tony had already gone to see Maya Hansen, but the result was not ideal.
Maya Hansen harbored a deep resentment toward Tony and was determined to continue developing the Extremis virus with Killian.
Tony didn't know how to proceed for the time being. He didn't know what the desperate virus was, nor did he know where the other party was conducting experiments. Solving this problem was a bit troublesome.
However, under Jaxon's persuasion, Tony decided to put the matter aside for now and consider it in the long term.
After the two finished discussing this issue, Helen clocked out and went home to rest. After all, the laboratory belonged to her, and no one could stop her from leaving.
Helen was indeed very interested in Jaxon, which was why she had been so proactive in getting to know him.
The three of them took a short break and drank coffee together. During this time, Helen took the initiative to talk to Jaxon, wanting to learn more about him.
Jaxon was now an expert in romance and could handle such matters with ease. In just half an hour, Jaxon and Helen made initial progress. At least Jaxon could see that Helen had a very good first impression of him.
One more target!
Jaxon wasn't in a hurry for success; he would spend more time on Helen next.
The day to set up the stall had finally arrived. Peter was extremely excited and made a series of calls early in the morning, waking up Jaxon.
The two got ready at Osborne House. Passersby saw the food truck, featuring hand-pulled pancakes and egg burgers—two foods they had never eaten before—and many stopped to buy them.
Jaxon and Peter split their responsibilities: one was in charge of the hand-pulled pancakes, and the other was responsible for the egg burgers. Their efficiency was still very good. Customers bought food one by one, leaving satisfied.
When Gwen arrived at Osborn Building, she immediately noticed the food truck. To her surprise, business seemed to be thriving. She had originally planned to help promote it, but now it seemed there was basically no need.
After waiting in line for a while, Gwen finally reached the front.
"Hi, Gwen."
Gwen smiled and said, "I knew your food truck was about to open. I specifically didn't eat anything just to taste your cooking."
Jaxon was very confident, "I won't let you down."
The two immediately started dividing the work and prepared breakfast for Gwen.
"Now, how much do I have to pay?"
Jaxon immediately replied, "You know how to pay."
Gwen looked at the food truck, "I think you need to step outside for a second."
When Jaxon came out, Gwen had already set the food aside and then paid for it with a special kiss.
Looking directly at Jaxon, not caring about outsiders at all, she said tenderly, "Good morning."
Jaxon looked at the enthusiastic Gwen and really wanted to find something to do. But he could only calm down for the moment and replied affectionately, "Good morning, my love."
Gwen let go of Jaxon, "I have to get to the company."
"Good luck to you."
"I also wish your business will continue to improve."
Gwen was about to leave with the food when Peter hurriedly reminded her, "Gwen, remember to help us promote it."
"Certainly."
Gwen entered the company. The customers waiting in line behind her watched Jaxon and Gwen express their affection and suddenly felt that the egg burgers in front of them were no longer appetizing.
Fortunately, they still had to buy what they needed, and Jaxon and Peter continued to be busy.
In this way, they attracted some customers here and there. This morning was relatively relaxed, with not many customers, but it was much better than expected.
After a couple of days, once it became popular, the profit might be even greater.
"This morning's earnings were average. At this rate, we may not be able to make any money during the holiday."
"Don't be anxious. Things will get better and better."
"By the way, Jaxon, are you going to Liz's party tonight?"
"Of course, I've agreed, and I will definitely go."
Peter seemed a little excited, perhaps even a bit too excited.
Jaxon looked at Peter and had a premonition. Could it be that Peter likes Liz?
"Jaxon, you're more knowledgeable about dating. Can you give me some advice on how I should pursue Liz?"
Peter liking Liz made sense; it was also part of the MCU plot. Besides, Betty, Gwen, and Mary Jane had all been taken away by Jaxon, leaving very few pretty girls available.
It was understandable that Peter liked Liz.
"You like Liz?"
Peter was a little shy, "I found Liz to be pretty good, so I wanted to give it a try."
"But then you're going to separate. Do you know where she's going to college?"
"I asked around. She's also here, but she's going to study at New York University."
"Oh, that's not very far."
Peter was very excited, "Jaxon, will you help me?"
Jaxon looked at Peter's excited and happy expression and thought about his own ideas in his mind.
'Liz is pretty too. As the daughter of the Vulture, if she becomes Peter's girlfriend, I should be able to gain some destiny points by changing her fate.'
'But Peter is almost out of luck because of me, so I'll leave him one.'
Peter looked at Jaxon and fell into deep thought, "Jaxon, do you have a plan?"
"I don't actually have any good plans. I'm very sincere to Gwen and the others. You just need to show your kind and genuine side, then be a little bolder and take the initiative to ask her to dance. I think you'll be able to win her favor."
Peter looked at Jaxon and said, "But that's how you took Mary Jane away from you."
Maybe it was because he was timid that Jaxon took the lead.
This time, if he took the initiative, he should have a chance.
"Jaxon, you're right. I should be bolder and ask her to dance."
"Go ahead and do it."
The two chatted for a while, and after confirming there were no customers, they decided to pack up and go home.
After all, it was more appropriate to sell hand-pulled pancakes and egg burgers during the morning and afternoon tea times.
The two closed their stall early and prepared for the party in the evening.
Peter was extremely nervous about the party. Aunt May even took the initiative to offer advice and prepare a suit for him.
"Aunt May, how do I look?"
Aunt May was very pleased to see Peter's handsome appearance.
"You look amazing. You just need to show your sincerity and take the initiative to approach her. Liz will definitely be impressed."
"Jaxon said the same thing, but he's better than me, so I'm a little worried."
