I AM EXTRA IN A SHONEN MANGA

Chapter 106 – Heliana Arc (17) Seat

The air shifted. The battlefield moments ago swallowed in screams suddenly felt lighter, almost… safe.

Isen stepped forward, brushing dust off his black-and-silver robe as though he'd wandered into a market square instead of a war zone.

He glanced at Khael first. His smile tilted.

"Im glad you called Khael…."

Khael's throat tightened. His master's presence was overwhelming, but his words felt strangely… human.

Isen crouched down beside Rael, who was pale and coughing blood. He hummed like a healer examining a scraped knee.

"You're a stubborn one. Took a nasty hit there, didn't you?" He pressed two fingers gently against Rael's chest, light flared, and in an instant, wounds that had nearly ended him began to knit.

"There we go. Good as new. Don't push yourself too hard, alright?"

Rael blinked, stunned. "…You… healed me that easily…?"

Kaen stammered, sweat dripping down his face. "Master Isen…."

Isen just winked at him.

Behind them, the ground cracked. A wave of void surged.

Veymorr's voice thundered across the ruin:

"What are you doing?! Don't you dare ignore me!!"

Isen didn't turn. Didn't even flinch. He adjusted Rael's collar like a fussy uncle.

Veymorr's teeth ground, fury rising. "Don't turn your back on me!!!"

At last, Isen's smile faded. Slowly, deliberately, he turned his head. His blue eyes calm, clear, endless fell on the Eclipse Lord.

The battlefield froze. The void itself seemed to recoil.

Veymorr staggered back a step, a tremor slipping into his voice. His body knew before his mind did. This wasn't prey. This wasn't even a rival. This was death wearing a smile.

Isen's words were soft, but they cut sharper than any blade:

"Wait for your turn."

The silence was suffocating. Veymorr's grin twitched into something brittle. For the first time, the Eclipse Lord looked small.

And then just like that Isen turned away again, warmth returning to his face as if nothing happened. He tapped Kaen on the forehead with a playful grin.

"You've got guts, kid. But don't burn yourself out too early. You've still got a long story to tell, yeah?"

He tousled Serin's hair, who flinched but stared up in awe.

"It's okay now kid.."

He stood, hands on his hips, golden hair catching the broken light.

"Alright then… kids, leave the scary stuff to me for a bit. Playtime's over."

The weight of his words pressed down heavier than any Eclipse shadow.

The weight of his words pressed down heavier than any Eclipse shadow. For a moment, even the sound of Veymorr's voidfire dulled. All eyes locked onto the man called the Honored One.

Kaen staggered closer to Khael, eyes wide. His voice cracked.

"Khael… since when did you and Master Isen meet? I mean—since when did he become your master?"

Khael rubbed the back of his neck, awkward as ever.

"Well… he just asked me."

The silence that followed was deafening.

Juno's jaw clenched, disbelief carving deep lines into his face.

"Impossible. How could you, a newcomer, be his disciple? The Keiryuu. The strongest in the world…" He shook his head, voice low with awe and fear. "…Even calling him a monster isn't right. He's… he's a living god."

Ceyla's storm-lit eyes flickered sideways, locking on Khael. For once, her sarcasm faltered.

"(What are you, Khael? How do you have so many secrets…?)"

Rael's hand tightened on Seireiken, knuckles white. He bit back the bitter taste in his throat, watching the boy he once dismissed as an "extra."

Khael—Dragon Knight.

Khael—disciple of the strongest man alive.

Rael's teeth ground together.

"(Damn it… Kaen, a so-called loser, awakened beyond me. And now him…? Even this guy has surpassed me? Tsk… why… why is it never me?)"

The battlefield was quiet, not from peace but from the weight of revelations.

And in the center of it all stood Isen, smiling lightly, almost oblivious.

The battlefield was quiet, not from peace, but from the crushing weight of revelations.

And in the center of it all stood Isen golden hair brushing the winds, blue eyes calm, a faint smile tugging at his lips. He looked as though he were standing in a garden, not in the heart of a blood-soaked war.

"Show me all you got," Isen said, voice light, almost playful, as his gaze locked on the Eclipse Lord.

Veymorr's jaw tightened, the veins of void energy crawling up his arms as his aura exploded outward. Shadows thickened like liquid iron, the ground fracturing beneath him. His voice boomed across the ruin:

"Even if you are Isen… the Keiryuu… you can't escape from my full power!!!"

With a guttural roar, Veymorr's body warped, eclipsed by writhing flames of black and crimson. The final stage his Wraith Form unfurled, monstrous wings and hollow eyes casting terror over the survivors. His very presence cracked the air, bending Shinrei into chaos.

But Isen only tilted his head.

"…What a cute form."

Veymorr snarled, the void pulsing like a storm ready to devour the world.

"Don't underestimate me!!!"

From the side, Serin's small hands clenched, his voice trembling.

"I-Is he… is he gonna be okay?"

Khael glanced at him, then let out a breathless chuckle, smiling softly despite the blood on his lips.

"You know Master Isen, right?"

Serin nodded quickly, fear and awe mingling in his young face.

"He's… he's the strongest human in the world. That's what the history books say."

Khael's smile grew faintly wider.

"…Then you already know the answer."

The battlefield trembled as Veymorr finished his transformation, voidflame leaking from every pore. Yet when Isen finally opened his mouth again, his words were quieter than thunder yet heavier than mountains.

"Even if you show your full strength… it won't be a problem."

He stepped forward, blue eyes gleaming like the sky itself.

"Because, Eclipse Lord… you're too weak."

The battlefield convulsed as Veymorr, now fully consumed by his Wraith Form, lunged forward. His strikes split the sky, voidflames roaring like collapsing stars. Every blow carried enough force to level mountains.

But Isen… moved differently.

One hand behind his back, the other lazily brushing aside claws of pure eclipse, he strolled through the storm like a man in a garden breeze. Every time Veymorr swung, Isen's body flickered sometimes not even moving, as though space itself bent to spare him.

"Haisst.." Isen muttered, his tone casual, almost bored. "This is your full power? Hm. History really has been generous to you."

Veymorr roared and unleashed a spiral of voidfire that devoured the field. The sky turned black, stars snuffed out by his eclipse. The survivors shielded their faces, expecting annihilation only for the smoke to clear, revealing Isen standing untouched, brushing imaginary dust off his robe.

"Tch." He tilted his head, golden hair glowing in the blackness. "Cute trick. But is that it?"

Then he moved.

No warning. No charge. Just gone.

And in the next heartbeat, Veymorr was on the ground, his colossal form smashed into the dirt with such force that shockwaves tore across the battlefield. His body convulsed, wings twitching, voidflame sputtering out.

The Eclipse Lord, the terror who had crushed armies was crawling.

Isen stepped lightly, almost humming, until he reached the monster's back. Then, with the ease of someone sitting on a bench, he lowered himself onto Veymorr's spine.

The battlefield froze. Even the survivors, covered in blood and ruin, could only stare.

Isen rested his elbow on his knee, chin on his palm, looking down at the writhing Eclipse Lord beneath him. His blue eyes were calm, his smile almost mocking.

"Is that it?" His voice carried across the ruins like a death knell. "That's the 'final form' that was supposed to erase humanity?"

Veymorr coughed voidflame, his voice breaking, disbelief choking him.

"I… I am… wrath itself—!"

Isen pressed one finger on the back of his head, and the Eclipse Lord slammed back into the ground, choking on dirt and blood.

"No." Isen's words were quiet, but absolute. "You're just noise."

All around, Kaen, Rael, Ceyla, Juno, Lira, Serin and even the surviving Guardians watched in stunned silence. The monster that had taken everything from them… was nothing but a seat for the man they called the Keiryuu.
