Chapter 71: Chapter 71: Top Fighting Creature
A young man with short, jet-black hair stood tall, his well-defined muscles glowing faintly under the light.
A boy with spiky red hair crouched in a sumo stance, eyes sharp with anticipation.
A gaunt man's limbs gleamed under metal fittings, while nearby, a broad-shouldered woman with a thick waist loomed silently.
Lastly, a red-haired teenager stood lazily, his expression indifferent, as though lost in thought.
In the next instant, all these figures were drawn into a shimmering crystal orb.
"Boom!"
A sharp crack echoed through the air.
Kaizen's consciousness reeled back, retreating rapidly.
Moments later, he opened his eyes.
With a thought, a figure appeared before him, accompanied by a flood of information that surged into Kaizen's mind.
"Raiken!"
Kaizen processed the influx of details with precision.
Raiken hailed from a distant, brutal world. He was the son of Yujiro Hanma—the supreme martial artist of that realm, feared and revered as a "demon." Saber was the only one predicted to surpass his father's terrifying power.
His combat abilities were honed through countless battles, each one sharpening his skill set further:
Rigid Body Technique
De-strengthing Arts
Triceratops Strike
Praying Mantis Dash
Moreover, his bloodline granted him unnatural abilities—fanatic talents born from his lineage.
The figure before Kaizen was a young man with curly red hair, clad in a snug white vest and loose trousers. His body radiated raw fighting aura.
Kaizen's eyes narrowed as another thought formed.
"Killer Queen!"
The image of a fearsome spirit beast flickered into view beside Raiken. The two stood side by side, brimming with menacing energy.
Kaizen smiled to himself.
"The power of a Nen beast depends on the Nen supplied to it... but my beasts aren't typical."
He murmured aloud, deep in thought.
"Beyond the Nen I pour into them, each beast draws from the information I possess about their character, their origin worlds. That extra insight strengthens them far beyond the ordinary. Additionally, the settings they've absorbed—Zoldyck Manor's methods and Heavens Arena's tactics—enhance them further."
Kaizen clenched his fists.
"Because of all this, my Nen beasts will surpass others Nen beasts, under the same amount of aura."
His gaze shifted toward Raiken.
"Killer Queen specializes in bomb abilities. She's no match for Raiken in close combat. She'll focus on explosions... and he'll handle hand-to-hand fights. That's the proper strategy."
Kaizen grinned slightly. Even though Raiken and Killer Queen originated from vastly different worlds, it didn't matter. What stood before him were manifestations of his mind—Nen beasts fueled by his thoughts and imagination.
"Their foundations may be the same, but each beast inherits unique strengths and evolves in different ways."
An idea flashed in his mind.
"What if I let them spar against each other?"
Excitement flickered in his eyes, and he couldn't resist the urge to test his creations.
Kaizen turned toward the door, where Nina and Ice Bear were waiting.
"Kaizen!" Nina called cheerfully, waving at him.
Polar Bear, sitting beside her, gave a low growl in greeting.
Kaizen glanced at the table. "Had dinner yet?"
"Not yet," Nina replied.
"Order something quick."
"On it!" Nina grabbed the phone and placed an order.
The kitchens on the 200th floor of Heavens Arena never closed, offering 24/7 service.
"Same as last night?" Nina asked.
Kaizen gave a brief nod. "That'll do."
Soon, dinner arrived—three plates, one for each of them. The meal was heavy on meat, with just enough fruits and vegetables to provide balance. As a Nen user, Kaizen knew how essential nutrition was for maintaining strength and aura levels.
"All the strongest fighters I've encountered have been big eaters," Kaizen thought, recalling legends from different worlds. "Luffy from One Piece, Natsu from Fairy Tail, even Raiken, my second beast."
He chuckled at the thought.
Even Ice Bear devoured his meal with gusto. Regular dog food wouldn't suffice for a synthetic beast that had awakened Nen.
Kaizen finished his meal and rose to his feet. "I'm heading out. Nina, keep up your training."
"Got it!" Nina replied enthusiastically.
Kaizen looked down at Ice Bear. "Watch over Nina."
Polar Bear gave a short bark in reply.
Leaving the room, Kaizen headed toward the competition hall on the 200th floor. The arena was eerily silent, the lights dimmed. No audience, no opponents—only the stillness of the night.
From the shadows behind him, two figures emerged—Killer Queen and Raiken.
Kaizen's voice was steady. "Head to Arena 603."
The two beasts obeyed, moving toward the designated space.
"Begin!"
The clash was instant.
Raiken lunged forward, his powerful frame erupting with ferocity, forcing Killer Queen onto the defensive. His close-combat prowess was unmatched, and just as Kaizen predicted, Killer Queen struggled against his unrelenting attacks.
Kaizen observed with satisfaction.
"Their presence doesn't just boost my combat abilities—it enhances me mentally and physically as well. The feedback from maintaining these beasts has already pushed my stamina far beyond typical D-rank Nen users. At this point, it wouldn't be far-fetched to say I've reached C-rank."
He continued to analyze their movements.
"Killer Queen's combat skills are limited... But that's fine. I've been trained by the Zoldyck family since childhood. What she lacks in fighting ability, I compensate for."
Kaizen's eyes gleamed as he watched Fan Ma Saber.
"But Raiken's skills... His techniques are unlike anything I've learned from the Zoldycks. If I can master them, I'll elevate my strength to a whole new level."
