----

A young boy appeared on the battlefield, and with his arrival, the sky darkened as a sudden downpour began. The rain grew heavier by the moment, and from within the torrent, another colossal figure emerged.

This towering presence was as large as a hill, clad in ancient armor, with muscles rippling beneath, exuding an aura of overwhelming strength. This was none other than the king of the gods, the mighty warrior, the greatest dragon-slayer, and the supreme ruler of the Mediterranean gods—Melqart!

With the arrival of the war god, his old rival was sure to follow. But before that could happen…

"It seems I'll be taking down two gods today," Alexander said with a smile. As soon as the words left his mouth, a bolt of blue-white lightning shot down from the sky, heading straight for him!

Crackle!

The lightning struck Alexander dead on!

Boom! Boom!

"Alexander!" Erica cried out in alarm. A direct hit from such a powerful lightning bolt would turn any ordinary person into ashes. Even she wouldn't have survived it.

However, Athena remained unfazed. She looked calmly at Erica and said, "Don't worry. This man is very strong."

Strong? Erica couldn't fathom just how powerful Alexander could be if a goddess described him as such. But then she understood, as the light of the dissipating thunder revealed Alexander standing unscathed, casually scratching his head.

"Hey, God of War, striking me with lightning as soon as we meet—isn't that a bit excessive?" Alexander said, looking up at the sky. Of course, he was unharmed. After all, Alexander was a Level 5 esper with the power of a super railgun; ordinary lightning couldn't touch him.

In the sky, a massive face briefly appeared, glaring at Alexander before vanishing without a word. This was one of the ten powers of the war god, the ability to control thunder.

Realizing that his attack had failed, a young man's voice echoed from the sky. "Human who defeated the wild boar and withstood the goat, I will wait for you here."

This was the voice of Verethragna the God of War. Without hesitation, Alexander flew towards him. Initially, the god had come to him, but now that he'd struck first, Alexander wouldn't just let it slide.

"Wait! I'm coming too!" Erica called out, running to join the battle. But before she could reach him, Athena grabbed her by the clothes.

"You're too slow."

The next thing Erica knew, she was flying alongside Athena. As she looked at the goddess, a strange thought crossed her mind.

"Why… why is this god of disobedience different from the others?"

When they arrived at the battlefield, Alexander, Melqart, and Verethragna had already positioned themselves in a triangular standoff. Sensing the imminent clash, Erica cried out in desperation, "Please, stop fighting! If you continue, this island will be destroyed!"

As an Italian knight, Erica couldn't stand by and watch Sardinia be obliterated by two gods and a mysterious warrior. But to the gods, her words were like whispers in the wind.

"Do not interfere with our battle."

The war god's voice was cold and indifferent as another bolt of blue lightning descended from the sky, this time aimed at Erica. She quickly summoned Reinhardt(sword) to shield herself, but the power of a god was overwhelming.

Crackle!

The first bolt sent Reinhardt flying, and a second thunderbolt followed immediately!

Not good! Erica braced herself, unable to react in time. But just as the lightning was about to strike her, a blue-white flash of lightning appeared, colliding with the bolt and neutralizing it in a burst of energy.

"Hey, God of War, if you want to fight, fight us. What's the point of bullying a girl?" Alexander's voice rang out, carrying a protective tone. Erica looked at him, her eyes filled with gratitude. He had saved her twice today. Without him, she would surely be dead.

As she gazed at Alexander's handsome profile, a blush crept across Erica's cheeks. Girls are often drawn to heroes, especially those who are not only strong and gentle but also remarkably handsome.

Meanwhile, Verethragna laughed at Alexander's words. "An interesting human. You, who defeated the wild boar, must be formidable. Very well, both of you come at me! Now, let me savor the thrill of battle!"
