Chapter 132: The Battle Of The Heart
We get urgent news that the dragons are now headed toward the Heart of Glozaria.
Perhaps that is their goal this entire time.
I curse as I quickly go around the Imperial Palace as magic knights start preparing for travel. My friends follow me and we meet with the Emperor and King Grey. The Divine One is also present and is awake, but she looks tired as hell.
The Emperor spots us, his face looking grim.
"They are heading for the Heart of Glozaria. If they manage to control it or do something we don't know about, we are all in danger. Come on. Follow me."
The Emperor gestures for us to follow him. We weave through different hallways until we make it to an open area behind the Pedgas Castle. In the courtyard stands what looks to be an airship with the mark of the Imperial Family on it. It is huge. It can fit several squads of magic knights in it.
The Emperor explains that this is a hidden secret that is a weapon that has been passed down many generations. Airships are incredibly expensive and exclusive from the amount of wind magic stones required to power one. But they will get us to the frontlines faster. We all hop into the airship with several squads of magic knights.
Before we know it, we are at the Heart of Glozaria. Enormous amounts of mana fill the air as we hear the ground shake violently beneath us. I see the front lines of thousands of magic knights fighting against the dragons and goblins. Even the peaceful elves are fighting on our side. I look at my friends in confusion.
"I'm sorry I never told you, Nico, but I am the prince of Elvenador. I have been secretly communicating with my nation for their assistance. They would've never helped out if they knew the humans had any involvement with me talking about it with them."
I simply nod in shock but am grateful we have additional support. The airship lands down onto the ground and the fight for humanity begins. My sister lets me wear her light elemental sphere necklace. I summon myself with full power as I confront the Emperor of Dragons.
My aura expands enormously as I unleash all the origin magic my body will allow me to possess. My Wand of Origin turns into a gigantic enchanted sword of all the elements, while my original wand turns into a magnificent shield of all the elements. I launch myself into battle.
Several C-rank dragons try to get in my way from attacking the Emperor of Dragons, but they instantly get blown away by my magic. I unleash eleventh affinity spells one after the other—nothing stands in my way.
The dragons are afraid of me except the S-class dragons, which are busy being dealt with by my friends. The Emperor and King Grey are great mages themselves, and they push the dragons back as well. The Emperors of Light show themselves in front of us. The Emperor and King Grey refocus on fighting the Eradicator leaders.
The Emperor of Dragons unleashes his Hellfire. The flames try to consume my shield. The power of it would instantly fry and kill any normal person. Thank goodness I am sure as hell not normal.
"Eleventh affinity level magic, Elementia Blasto!"
"Eleventh affinity level magic, Fist of God!"
I cast two origin magic spells at once, and I keep up the spells as the Dragon Emperor struggles to take blow after blow. Massive amounts of flames, ice, stone, darkness, and light rain down upon him. My Fist of God spell comes from the sky in the form of lightning as I strike the Dragon Emperor, causing him to reel back in confusion.
After a few more spells, he is exterminated, causing many of the other dragons to lose morale. This makes the other dragons start to die out as thousands of magic knights push them back and overwhelm them.
I feel so exhausted, and my sense of time is gone. It is all a blur as soon the great war is over.
Ivy rushes over to me with healing mages as they desperately do their best to heal me. All my mana is almost depleted, and I feel like I am going to faint. Within a few minutes, though, I am back to being semi-normal as I drink more mana potions.
I hear a roar of cheering as the Emperor and King Grey manage to kill both Emperors of Light. They both are extremely injured, but they made it out alive. We all silently celebrate as most of my friend group and the country's leaders are too tired to even speak or cast another spell.
We did it. It is finally over.
Timeskip 10 years after winning the war for humanity...
It is crazy to think I am over thirty now.
Ivy and I are doing just fine. We have kids now. I love them to death.
Matteo and Leena? Well, King Grey passed away due to old age. Matteo is now King of Tarondar. Leena married a nice noble. We go over to the Tarondar Palace every weekend to visit him and his wife, Neve. They have children too, and guess what? Their children can dual wield fire and ice. I think that's pretty cool.
Estes? He is doing well. He moved back to Elvenador because his father passed. He is now King of the entire continent over there. We visit him every now and then, as international travel takes a long time. Zephyr is doing well, he is now in charge of the entire army of the Glozaria Empire.
Yeah, you heard that right. We all live under one banner now. The nations still exist as they are, but as a continent as a whole, we are one nation. For some reason, shortly after the war ended, to prevent something like this from happening again, I was made the Glozaria Emperor with the nickname "Emperor of Humanity."
I still think I hardly deserve it, but it's nice.
The dragons we gave mercy to now live peacefully in their own continent on the other side of us. Well, it was certainly a long journey. I'm just happy my wife and I could finally make it here. Just us and our family.
I love them.
