Housekeeper in the dungeon

chapter 88

EPISODE 88

‘A dungeon I had never been to before,’ I thought to myself as I opened the door and was greeted by a sight I’d never seen before.

This time, it was a meadow with a wide expanse of green grass. The fluffy leaves were wet from the early morning dew, and the morning sunlight shone brilliantly, casting a multicolored glow.

“Wow, this place was like a…… garden of heaven.”

Hee-Na marveled softly.

The dungeon was a dangerous place, but it was also a perfectly preserved piece of nature.

Sometimes she was completely overwhelmed by the wonder of the dungeon. Like today.

“I can’t believe there was danger lurking in a place that looks so peaceful.”

Hee-na walked through the meadow with Kang Jin-hyeon, the Go board close at hand.

Maybe it was Kang’s momentum, or maybe it was the stealthy robes she wore, but they didn’t encounter a single monster on their walk.

Baduk hopped and hopped and hopped through the morning grass. He sniffed and scanned the ground.

Hee-Na and Kang jin-hyeon walked side by side and watched the scene. Go is always busy, so at least it wasn’t boring to watch.

Boom!

After playing alone for a while, Go suddenly attacked the flower buds.

“What was up, Go? What was in there?”

Hee-Na slowly approached the Go player, checking the quest status window, which showed 88% progress. If she let him play for another 20 minutes, the quest would be complete.

“Baduk?”

The Go player jerked up from his seat and looked back and forth between Hee-na and Kang Jin-hyeon, who was standing behind her.

“What was wrong?”

When I asked, puzzled by his sudden behavior, he held out his hand…… no, a leaf. It was the kind of gesture you make when you offer to shake hands.

“You want me to hold it?”

I nodded. Unperturbed by his response, I reached out and grabbed the leaf, and as if in a happy mood, the leaf on the tail of the plant spun like a propeller.

Badui was so happy that he flicked the other leaf at Kang Jin-hyun.

Kang jin-hyeon raised an eyebrow, unclenched his arm, and grabbed the leaf.

Holding Hee-na and Kang jin-hyeon by both leaves, Baduk suddenly dragged them forward.

“What? Where were you going?”

Hee-na looked up at Baduk, half dragging herself along with him.

But he didn’t answer, except to slow his pace to match hers.

No wonder. Go had no mouth.

Kang jin-hyeon was surprised to find that the Go player obediently walked toward him.

“You must have something you wanted to show me.”

“Ugh. I hope it was not a boss monster or something.”

I quickly turned on the ‘Where’s My Home’ skill and looked at the dungeon map. Luckily, it wasn’t heading toward a boss monster.

Instead, she held his hand and led him up a dark hill. His stats were better than before, so he didn’t feel out of breath or tired.

“You’ve gotten stronger.

It was time to be proud of my stronger limbs.

My vision suddenly opened up.

“Wow!”

Suddenly, I was on a hill. I thought it was just a small hill, but when I reached the top, I felt like I was on top of the world.

The wind picked up just in time. The green grass leaned in one direction and then another.

The few drops that didn’t fly away glistened silver in the sunlight. It was like being in a painting.

“Was this what you wanted to show us, Go?”

I lifted my head to look at him, and he nodded his bud. Somehow, there seemed to be a hint of pride in the movement.

“It was a refreshing sight, thank you.”

I praised, stroking the leaf I held tightly. The roots of the Go plant twitched with excitement, as if in a tap dance.

Hee-Na smiled at the frenzy.

“I’ll stay here and enjoy the scenery, Go, and you can go out and play, too. I had to go to work in a little while.”

Baduk nodded his head in understanding. He turned his head from side to side, alternately looking at Hee-na and Kang Jin-hyun.

“Didn’t worry, we’ll be waiting for you here. We won’t leave.”

She patted him on the back, worried that he would leave her behind. But that didn’t seem to be his concern.

It turned its head to look at the two of them and pouted at the bud as if it was thinking about something big.

It made a sound that didn’t seem to belong to a pretty bud, but I never wondered what it could be.

After roaring for a while, it finally wrapped itself around the leaves of both Hee-Na and Kang Jin-Hyun’s hands.

Naturally, the hands holding the leaves came into contact with each other.

Hee-na was surprised by the hot temperature on the back of her hand and squealed. But the go player didn’t care. Instead, he placed his palm on the back of Hee-na’s hand.

He patted her hand and nodded his head. He looked very pleased with himself.

“Baduk?”

Go slipped back, pretending not to hear Hee-Na’s question. The hand he was forcibly laying on top of his own seemed to fall off naturally, but…….

“……AT!”

Hee-na let out a new scream.

Kang jin-hyeon grabbed her hand. His large, firm hand gently wrapped around her entire hand.

“Ji, Mr. Jin-hyeon?”

Hee-na looked at Kang in surprise.

He was staring at the Go player, who was running off into the distance with an impassive expression.

“If you wish, I’ll leave you like this for a while.”

There was a hint of laughter in his voice. It was almost as if he was teasing Hee-na, who was startled.

Hee-na’s head snapped up in disbelief.

“Sure. Go wanted me to.”

But she couldn’t hide her blush.

She hadn’t made many friends because she was too busy making a living, and she couldn’t have ever had a friend of the opposite sex. This made her very vulnerable to this kind of contact.

Even Kang Jin-hyeon, whom she had always thought of as a handsome still life, was now holding her hand in person, and all sorts of things went through her mind.

The more she fidgeted with her hands in embarrassment, the firmer his grip on her hand became.

Contrary to his cold impression, Kang Jin-hyeon’s hand was very hot. So hot that Hee-na wondered if her hand would melt in his grasp.

I swallowed hard and was conscious of my body temperature.

Kang jin-hyeon suddenly spoke up.

“Even after this quest is over, it would be nice to come out and take a walk with me once in a while.”

“A walk?”

“Yes. Baduk likes to go for walks a lot, so I think he’ll be very sad if we end it like this. Assuming, of course, that you accompany me, and not alone.”

“That was…… not bad, you should come home often.”

However, I didn’t expect the person who cared about Hee-na’s safety more than anyone else to bring it up first.

“Were you that surprised?”

Kang jin-hyeon asked with a smirk as if he could read her expression.

Hee Na stammered out a reply.

“I was a little surprised. I didn’t expect you to say this…….”

“I was a somewhat flexible person. I’ve heard a few things.”

He was silent for a moment, then spoke slowly.

“So, by the way, there was something I’d like to tell you.”

His voice was cautious, his grip firm.

The tension radiated to Hee-Na. She swallowed hard.

“What was ……?”

“……I was asking if I can stay at your place for a while longer.”

It sounded awkwardly familiar. Unfortunately, Hee-Na didn’t know how to respond.

“Uh…….”

She chewed her lip, trying to figure out how to interpret this and how to respond.

.

The system window chirped, announcing the completion of the quest. Before you know it, you’ve earned 100% quest progress for Go Walk in the Dungeon.

“The quest completion window popped up?”

Kang jin-hyeon asked perceptively. Hee-Na nodded and frantically read the words that appeared in front of her.

Since I had leveled up by 15, there were 15 level-up rewards to receive. It was a hassle to check them off one by one.

“Yep. I’ll take them all at once.”

As soon as I accepted the reward, I got a polite “In Drawing” message. Since it was 15 level-up rewards, it took a while.

Before she knew it, a colorful effect like a firecracker exploded before her eyes.

“Special rewards?”

!

“……Fragments of a Fragment of Space?”

If it was a piece of space, it was a piece, but what was a piece of space?

If it was a piece of a piece of a piece, wasn’t it more like a crumb of space?

It was about this time that I thought

Hee-na’s eyes widened at the system window.

“Expanding the apartment?
