Chapter 20: Dragonstone II
(Drakken's POV)
The dragon crawled slowly towards me, opening its maw and releasing a bright green glow.
"Hm?" I said, "Green flames? Now nostalgic, reminds me of those imbecile Demons that use Greenfyre."
The dragon then fired a massive stream of green flames at me. I could barely feel the heat which told me they were especially hot.
"Hm." I said as I waved my hand casually
The flames were scattered as they hit an invisible barrier I placed due to my Telekinesis, warding them off completely. The dragon then to rapidly crawl towards me, biting at me. I could smell the foul stench of its breath hit me. It was ridiculously pungent, I could barely handle it.
"Ugh..." I said as I stopped it completely with one hand, "What kind of dragons do you eat to get a foul breath like that....?"
I could feel the massive body struggling against my mere hand. I was holding it by the bottom jaw, grasping onto one of its spines that protruded out of its scales.
I then clutched my hand, "Let's see here..."
A bright red glow emitted from the area around where I clutched on to, feeling a surge of magic flow through it's body and into my body. The amount of magic power that I felt course through my veins was immense and the quality of it was nothing like I have felt in this world, up until this moment. Not even the sweet and addicting sensation the Targaryens' magic was this potent, this powerful.
"A-Ahh...." I said as I let go, a bit taken aback, "What?"
I stumbled back, feeling a strange tingling sensation on the back of my neck and nothing but power flowing through my entire body. The dragon let out a pained whimper as it stumbled back as well, opening its maw, and giving off a deep rumble.
"Such power...." I said as I looked at it, "Is it because you consume dragon flesh? Is that it? Your body metabolizes that magic in the flesh of the dragons you eat and infuses it into your own, granting you a great magical attribute..."
It shook its neck, giving me a glare as it straightened up, giving off a growl. It did not seem exhausted, unlike the other dragons I have drained until now. It was strange, a very defiant look on its eyes, glaring at me. Something told me this beast was very resilient.
A smirk crept up on my face, "Hehe....." he said, "Interesting...."
The dragon opened its maw once again and tried to fire flames at me.
I snapped my fingers and the maw closed shut with a snap, surprising the dragon, a bit of smoke coming from its nostrils. It then opened it as I let go of my telekinetic grasp on it, smoke trailing out of it.
Almost like it sensed it was in danger, the dragon flapped its wings and tried to fly away.
I smirked even more, "No you don't." I said as I extended my arm towards it, my palm open, "Get back here."
Black swirling tendrils of black ether shot out of my arm and fired right at it, piercing its black body and wings, keeping it in place.
"Submit"
The dragon let out a pained roar as the tendrils dug into its body, sewing through its scales and hide, spreading my Calamity throughout its being.
I then waved my arm down, forcing the dragon to crash down hard with a vicious thud, the ground shaking a bit. It let out a pained whimper as the tendrils continued to spread throughout its body.
The Dragon Calamity, is a power that allows me to have absolute control over the concept of Dragons. In Infernis, I was able to manifest draconic beings out of the pure ether. Not just that, I could subjugate already existing draconic beings and make them my personal warriors. I could assimilate a wyvern or dragon into my own body, something I could not do at the moment. That allows me to not only take them into my service but absorb their own power, adding them to my own arsenal.
The Dragon Calamity is extremely versatile and every single user's ability varies on the additional Sorcery granted by the subjugation of draconic beings or the ones manifested. For example, if an existent Royal Wyvern possesses incredible fire-breathing and fire-manipulating abilities and I gain access to them. And if I manifest a Dragon or Wyvern using my Calamity, whatever ability they possess, I can get them as well. It could work either way; they would gain the power from me, an already existing sorcery or I could gain it from them, a sorcery granted by the randomness that is the Calamity.
Right now, I was subjugating this dragon and submitting it to my will. After I am done, it is mine and only mine. Nothing will be able to break our "bond" because I am its Dragon God, nothing else. And whatever ability it has, I gain and whatever ability I wish to grant it, it will get it.
"Submit to my will, Cannibal...." I said with a smirk
I watched as its eye went completely white, shifting in color, the glow getting brighter. It then went completely green and went back to normal, its trashing slowing down as I felt the entirety of my ether spread completely throughout its body.
I pulled my arm back, the tendrils exiting its body and I felt the connection be implemented; this dragon was now mine.
"Good." I said as the dragon looked at me, "I am now your Master. Obey my every command."
The dragon hung its head, letting out a rumble.
I could have done this with any dragon in the Targaryens' possession but I chose not to. I did not consider any of them worth it. I consider them inferior species compared to the true dragons that I have already had in my arsenal, they were nothing to me.
But maybe this one could be an exception. This one and the big guy.
I looked at this one, "Let's take a flight, shall we?"
*********
"Hm...." I said as I stood above the Cannibal as it soared through the skies above the island, "Interesting....."
It silently glided above the massive castle that belonged to the Tagaryens. It looked rather small and mundane, which was quite expected from these so-called dragonlords. I could also feel a bit of draconic presence below the castle.
"So these Targaryens ride these dragons while sitting down? On a customized saddle?" I said with a raised eyebrows as I felt the wind hit my face, "Pathetic. Why bother? Either you stand like a true dragonlord or you don't ride these creatures at all."
I never rode on any of my dragons, unless I absolutely needed to. I flew places myself, I could take to the skies in my own dragon form. The mere thought and memory of me flying into a battlefield in my gargantuan dragon form and striking fear into the enemy's heart made me a bit sad.
I miss those times.
Fighting those fools that considered themselves fellow gods of mine, butchering them and mounting their heads on spikes, that was the thrill of life.
Whenever an Archdragon showed itself to me, cutting off its wings and severing its head from its body, that was true fun.
Everything about my life before the Scar-Kings' prison was such a missed memory.
I only wish I could return to it.
"Hmph." I said as I had my arms crossed, "It is what it is. I am stuck here. I should make do with what I got."
I then heard a distant dragon's roar. I could feel the Cannibal's reaction to this. It began to sniff the air as it soared through the night sky while I stood on him.
"It is fine." I said, "Let's go and hunt."
*************
"Hm..." I said as I stood on the dragon as it was ripping apart a small blue dragon with its sharp teeth, "Interesting. Even the small ones have potent magic...."
I stood there, arms crossed, and watched as this black dragon began to consume the flesh of this dragon. As I focused my sensory on it, I could feel the magic being taken into its body. And after a few seconds of it eating and digesting the flesh within its stomach, I confirmed my own suspicions.
It was taking in the magic in the flesh and absorbing it within itself, boosting its own. It was quite the thing. Perhaps it doesn't realize it's doing this as it could just have happened to develop a taste for dragon flesh.
I tilted my head as I felt a strange shift in its magic, "Interesting....there's an odd reaction...." He said, "Let me....."
I crouched down and placed my hand on its hide, spreading my ether throughout it once again, this time less invasive and painful. I was about to try something on it.
"Draconic Conversion"
I felt a jolt hit its entire body and it began to twitch violently, stopping its feast as it reared its head into the air. It let out a strange howl as its eyes began to glow brightly, its entire body covered in bright green marks.
I could feel it; the magic of the flesh consumed was converted into pure ether that the dragon was taking in its own body, boosting it completely. I felt as if the dragon's body began to enlarge slightly, which was surprising to me.
"Ho?" I said, "Interesting....its body had evolved to take in the magic within the dragon's flesh...and with my Sorcery.....it boosted that and converted the flesh into pure draconic ether....and it's enhancing it...."
I then straightened up as the dragon stopped its twitching. It let out a deep growl that reverberated into my bones.
I looked to the side and saw the side of the mountain we were standing next to, "Heh..." I said as I pointed over there, "Let's try something..."
"Destroy"
It turned around slowly and reared its head back, it's maw open and channeling flames. I could feel that this fire was different than the previous one it used on me, it was potent and enchanted with my ether.
I smirked, "Yes..."
It opened fire, shooting out a concentrated beam of green flames that hit the side of the mountain, resulting in a massive explosion that shook the ground and put a crack into the mountain. I felt the shockwave where I stood, atop the beast, and I could not help but feel amazed by this.
The dragon shook its head and let out a deep rumble as pieces of flaming debris slowly fell from the air, landing next to us.
"Yes...." I said as excitement filled my body, "YES, YES, YES!!!! Cannibal!! You are perfect!!!! A perfect specimen, a perfect test subject!!!! You will become the perfect base to resurrect my Grayle!!!! The Flames of Hell themselves will come forth if we play it right!!! You will bring forth my Wyverns, Cannibal!!! Grayle and Talis will soon plunge this world into Chaos!!!"
"I cannot wait!!!!"
