“Captain, what do you think of Yuan Junyao?” The young man asked while he was driving.
“She seems an honest girl.” Jin said.
“Captain, should we keep an eye on her?” The young man said.
“No need, at least not now.” Jin said, “It is an order to let her keep streaming her live videos. It shows that someone up there wanted her to do it. We’d better leave her alone.”
The young man frowned, “We haven’t seen any of her ghost hunting skills or formations. The headquarters said those skills are ancient. She may have learned from a great master. I wonder who he is.”
Jin waved his hand, “Lin, I gave your phone number to her. If she needs help, you do your best to help her. I have a feeling that it will do us good if we get along.”
“Got you, captain.”
I was surprised by what Captain Jin said. The first thing I went home was to log in my channel and see if there was any difference. Was it because I had updated last time?
I made a phone call to Heiyan TV who replied that no system update was required lately.
I was terrified. Was it a ghost who had made me update it?
No matter how hard I tried, I still couldn’t figure out anything. So I quitted. As long as I could keep doing it, breathe ghost’s air and make money out of it to cure my brother, nothing else mattered.
As time passed, I had never mentioned it again, neither had Tang Mingli. Since I started to strength my bones, I would go to the park nearby to practice fist skills after I breathed a plume of Hongmeng Purple Qi.
Lord Zhengyang gave me a pamphlet of fist skills. Although it was not for attacking, it was good for health. Given time, the practitioner would be free from diseases.
One day, when I arrived at the park, someone was already there. It was a young man, 26 or 27 years old, strong and masculine.
He was practicing fist skills too. Even move was strong enough to stir the air. Sometimes I could even hear the explosive sound of his move.
He was energetic and strong, absolutely a kung fu master.
Recently I could often feel someone else’s inner strength. This man looked strong on the outside but had hidden injuries on the inside. And the injuries were there for a while because I could feel an obvious obstacle when he operated his qi.
It reminded me of the file Rosy Cloud Fairy had given me. The herb bath could not only strengthen the bones but also cure some minor latent injuries.
I saw a Hummer H2 parking at the park entrance when I came in just now. It must be his because I saw no one else.
If I could cure his injuries, he might pay me a lot of money because he was rich.
After he finished his practice, he looked at me unfriendly, “You’ve watched me quite for a while. Show yourself.”
I immediately blushed because I got busted.
Trying to calm down, I strode towards him. He sized me up and down, and then asked, “Why were you watching me?”
I felt awkward but tried to act normal, “I come here every morning to practice. When I came here just now, you are already here. So I didn’t want to disturb you.”
He hummed and walked away.
I tried to ask him to stay but I didn’t. How could he possibly believe in me? I was just an ugly woman.
I sighed for my loss, and then started to practice my fist skills. It was called Eight Extremes Skynet Fist.
When I was practicing very hard, the young man stopped and watched me. He got more and more serious, which made me a little creepy.
I tried to concentrate on my practice and finally I finished. I was sweaty all over my body.
“What was that you were practicing?” He was impressed, “It was amazing.”
I was speechless because Lord Zhengyang said it was the lowest level. He couldn’t send me higher level skills because my channel grade was too low.
“I learned from my master shifu.” I made up an answer. Then I said, “Sir, you are badly injured.”
He was shocked and put his hands around my neck all of sudden, although I tried to get rid of him, “Who are you?”
I only practiced boxing for a few days. I was not as strong as he was.
“If you kill me now, your hidden injuries would never be cured.” I said.
He went quiet and put me down, and asked, “What else do you know?”
“I can cure you.” I said.
His face lighted up but soon darkened, saying coldly, “Even doctors can’t cure me. How could you? You must be kidding me.”
I was not happy to hear that. I didn’t beg him to cure him.
I calmed down, “Your injuries should be here, right?” I pointed at his pubic region, “It is very serious. If you can’t fix it very soon, your public region would be hopeless. ”
“Can you really cure me?” He asked very seriously.
“I can’t guarantee.” I said, “But I can try.”
“Good.” He grabbed my wrist and said, “If you can’t fix me and you are playing with me, you will be very sorry.”
His eyes were as sharp as blades, as cold as ice. Thrill ran all over my body. Was I messing with a wrong man?
“500,000 for your treatment.” I pulled up all my socks.
The way he looked at became scarier. I added instantly, “You can pay me after you are cured.”
“As long as you can cure me, let alone 500,000, I could give you one million or ten million. But if you can’t…” He looked me up and down.
“I will be at your disposal.” Words just split out of my mouth.
I regretted right after. I was digging a grave for myself.
Now I had no other way but to do it.
Again, shouldn’t I ask more money?
I gave him a copy of the herb bath prescription. He could find the herbs all by himself. He was rich. The herbs he bought must be very good.
I didn’t worry that he knew the prescription because the final step was me imputing some aura to the herbs.
The next morning, he called and told me that herbs were ready and he would come pick me up. Then I saw a white Lincoln limo waiting outside already.
The limo pulled over in front of a fancy villa. Bodyguards in suits were standing aside. When I walked in, the man was sitting on the couch. He was wearing dark blue suits and two strong, tall bodyguards were standing behind him.
My lips twitched. Who was he?
Wei Ran, his name, was all I knew about him, nothing else.
In his hand was the copy of my prescription. He said, “I have prestigious herbalist doctors look at the prescription. They told me some herbs were not supposed to be together. The prescription could do harm to the bodies. What is your explanation?”
Er…I had no knowledge of herbs. What should I say?
I’d better make him believe me.
“Mr. Wei, do you know either you die or live?”
His eyes narrowed. I continued, “Can the herbalist doctors cure you?”
He went silent.
I went on, “If you use me, you should trust me. Mr. Wei, if you don’t trust me, I will leave then.”
He looked right at me. His eyes were so sharp like they could break into my mind. I gritted my teeth, “Yuan Junyao, don’t be afraid. If you act a little scared, you would never have a chance to walk out a whole piece.”
After a long time, he finally released me, asked coldly, “When do we start?”
I was relieved, sweaty on my back.
“Now.” I arranged his servants to prepare the herb bath. When everything was settled, I asked them to leave me alone. Then I put my hand into the dark herb soup.
My aura sunk into the soup and caused a stir like a white light flowing.
After I put every bit of aura into it for a better effect, I felt too exhausted to stand up.
“It’s ready.” I opened the door.
Wei Ran was wearing a white robe now. He walked in and looked at me, “Aren’t you supposed to get out?”
