Hokage Teacher: With Dimensional Teacter System

Chapter 73: Chapter 74: The Disappearance of the Third Kazekage

"Holiday training, huh? It's finally here," Obito took a deep breath, as though he could already foresee the misery awaiting him over the next month and a half.

During school days, at least there were five days of classes to buffer the workload. But now with the long holiday, every day would feel like the weekend—a constant grind.

Obito could only hope that the combat training would return to how it used to be. Otherwise, with over 200 extra questions every day, the holiday might very well mark the end of his sanity.

Hearing about the training, Guy's eyes lit up with excitement. However, recalling the increased homework during weekends, he also felt a heavy weight press down on him.

Shisui's expression remained unchanged. Unlike Guy and Obito, Shisui had already mastered the Shadow Clone Technique and had his clone attend classes for him.

Aside from showing up for exams, Shisui spent almost all his time training with Mokuzuki.

So even if Mokuzuki announced that the holiday schedule would match weekend training every day, it wouldn't make much difference to Shisui's usual routine.

"We'll rest on Thursdays and Sundays. The other days, you'll train with me in the mornings and afternoons. You can return home for lunch, but if you stay, I'll cook," Mokuzuki explained.

During school days, while they trained with Mokuzuki daily, the actual hours of training were limited from Monday to Friday.

With the holiday schedule being five days of training and two days of rest, the total training hours were significantly higher than during school.

"Two rest days per week!" Obito exclaimed in delight.

He did some quick calculations and realized that this schedule might actually be easier than school days.

During school, they had to attend classes Monday through Friday and train with Mokuzuki afterward. On weekends, they trained the entire day with him.

"Additionally, combat training will be paused. Obito, you'll continue working on Fire Chakra Nature Transformation, while Shisui and Guy will learn Shave with me," Mokuzuki said, outlining their new training plan.

During the Ninja Academy Training Task, Obito had already begun practicing Chakra Nature Transformation but was still in the initial stages. He needed to continue refining his control.

Unlike Naruto's massive Chakra reserves and stamina, Obito couldn't use the Multi-Shadow Clone training method. He would have to progress gradually.

"No combat training!"

If the two days off had been a pleasant surprise for Obito, pausing combat training completely made him fall in love with the holiday plan.

Without combat training, there would be no additional mountains of questions to answer. While practicing Chakra Nature Transformation was tiring, Obito much preferred it to endless homework.

After setting the tasks, the students began their respective training.

Obito stood gripping a large block of ice, continuously releasing Chakra into it, while Shisui and Guy trained in Shave with Mokuzuki.

Watching Mokuzuki flash around with Shisui and Guy, Obito felt the chill from the ice travel along his veins straight to his heart.

"Mokuzuki-sensei, you mentioned a taijutsu challenge earlier. What is it? I want to learn Shave too," Obito asked, unable to hold back any longer.

He remembered Mokuzuki saying that aside from topping his grade, completing a taijutsu challenge would also allow him to learn Shave.

At the time, Mokuzuki had dismissed the idea, saying Obito couldn't accomplish it. But now, after a month of training and growth, Obito thought he might just have a chance.

"The taijutsu challenge? That's a tough one. Are you sure you want to try?" Mokuzuki split off a Shadow Clone to converse with Obito.

"But everyone else is learning that movement technique. If I don't learn it, I'll fall behind," Obito argued.

"Alright. I'll set up the challenge today. You can attempt it tomorrow," Mokuzuki agreed.

Obito's eagerness was entirely within Mokuzuki's expectations.

He hadn't taught Shave to all his students directly because he wanted to use these conditions as a means to motivate those who hadn't qualified yet.

For Obito, Mokuzuki planned to design a training course that would require sufficient speed and strength to overcome. To learn Shave, Obito would need to push himself hard, effectively reinforcing his physique during the process.

By completing the challenge, Obito would naturally grow stronger, making it easier to master Shave.

Moreover, the sense of accomplishment from earning something through effort would drive Obito to practice with greater focus and dedication.

Mokuzuki's considerations for his students extended even to their psychological growth.

After training, Mokuzuki returned to his house in the main district as usual.

That evening, he prepared sushi and tempura.

However, dinner was interrupted by a sudden hawk's cry outside.

"Why now?" Kushina grumbled, her mood soured just as she finished eating a sushi roll.

"Let's go. If it's this sudden, something major must have happened," Minato said, standing up.

"Sorry, Mokuzuki. We'll need to step out for a bit. The Jonin Council has been called for an emergency meeting," Minato explained.

Whenever something significant occurred in Konoha, messenger beasts were sent to summon the Jonin for urgent discussions. Minato was no stranger to such calls.

"Mokuzuki, save some for us! These meetings usually don't take long. With Minato's speed, we'll be back soon," Kushina said as she left, not forgetting to request leftovers.

"There's plenty. I can't finish it all by myself," Mokuzuki smiled and nodded, inwardly speculating about the event's nature.

Based on the timeline, Mokuzuki guessed it might have something to do with the Third Shinobi War.

"Is it about to escalate into full-scale war?" he wondered.

Kushina and Minato didn't keep him waiting long. In less than half an hour, they returned.

"I thought it was something major. Turns out it's just the Third Kazekage disappearing," Kushina said, annoyed.

"They're so quick to convene a meeting over this. Someone who didn't know better might think it was the Third Hokage who vanished," she added sarcastically.

Hearing Kushina's words, Mokuzuki couldn't help but think this indeed marked the beginning of the war.

Kumogakure, having already rebuilt its forces, was itching for an opportunity. The Third Kazekage's disappearance would undoubtedly embolden them to act.

"No matter which Kage it is, their disappearance would shake the balance of power in the ninja world. The Third Kazekage's vanishing act could very well lead to war," Minato said gravely, his expression somber.

"That's true. This time, Sunagakure's really in for it," Kushina agreed, biting into another sushi roll.

Listening to their discussion, Mokuzuki felt a wave of unease.

No one could have predicted that a war sparked by the Third Kazekage's disappearance would turn into one of Konoha's most challenging battles, where the village would face overwhelming odds despite eventually emerging victorious.

With war looming on the horizon, Mokuzuki felt an even greater urgency to strengthen himself.

At least, being part of Root, Mokuzuki figured that even if Danzo decided to send his operatives into the fray, he'd be among the later waves.

Still, Mokuzuki didn't place any hope in Danzo's mercy.

His only focus was on achieving Kage-level strength before the flames of war reached Konoha.

Strength was the ultimate safeguard in this perilous world. Without it, everything else was meaningless.
