Hokage Teacher: With Dimensional Teacter System

Chapter 43: Chapter 44: Talented Ninjas

"Thank you to Contestant #1 for demonstrating their Clone Technique. Their score is eight points."

"Now, let's welcome Contestant #2 to the stage."

"Teacher Muketsu, why are we watching this kind of competition? Feels like a waste of time—there aren't even many real ninjas attending," Asuma said with some confusion as he observed a contestant awkwardly perform a basic Clone Technique on stage.

Muketsu smiled warmly and replied, "Asuma, have you already forgotten your match with Shisui? Never underestimate anyone."

Asuma immediately fell silent. The memory of his battle against Uchiha Shisui still lingered. If not for Muketsu's encouragement, he might have been utterly discouraged.

"Understanding the abilities of your peers in the village is always beneficial," Muketsu added casually, attempting to justify their attendance.

Truthfully, he was worried that Obito might mess up. Watching from the sidelines gave him some peace of mind.

Asuma glanced around and noticed a few familiar faces.

"Kakashi is here too? Don't tell me he's competing. That would be unfair," Asuma remarked, spotting Kakashi in the crowd.

He was well aware of Kakashi's monstrous talent—graduating at five, becoming a Chūnin at six, and showing terrifying aptitude. While most kids were still struggling with basic techniques, Kakashi was already practicing elemental manipulation and honing complex jutsu.

Asuma's gaze swept further and landed on another figure. "Even Shisui is here? I hope he goes up against Kakashi. Those two can play their genius games alone."

"Now, let's welcome Contestant #2, Tetsu Hagane!" The host enthusiastically called out the next competitor.

Upon hearing his name, Tetsu Hagane confidently stepped onto the stage.

"Good luck, Tetsu!" Izumo Kamizuki cheered loudly for his friend. Izumo, aware of his own skill level, had wisely decided not to participate.

Anko Mitarashi had initially expressed interest in competing, but she had been unable to attend due to other obligations.

"Contestant Tetsu, which jutsu will you be showcasing for us today?" the host asked politely, leaning forward with a professional smile.

"I'll be performing the Deceptive Decoy Technique—a jutsu my friends and I developed together!" Tetsu declared proudly.

Down in the audience, Izumo puffed up with pride. He had contributed to the development of that technique too!

"How impressive! A young contestant already developing original techniques. Contestant Tetsu, how long have you been studying at the Academy?" the host inquired curiously.

"First year," Tetsu replied honestly.

"Remarkable," the host said, genuinely amazed. First-year students hadn't been studying long—just mastering the basics like the Three Basic Techniques was considered good progress.

The audience was equally shocked, especially the second- and third-year students. They began questioning the value of their own years of training.

Muketsu had a pretty good idea of what Tetsu's technique would entail, though he wasn't sure how well it would be executed.

The host stepped back to give Tetsu space. "Let's all enjoy Contestant Tetsu's Deceptive Decoy Technique!"

Tetsu quickly formed a series of hand signs and channeled his chakra. With a puff of smoke, a tall chair materialized beside him—so tall that it towered over Tetsu himself.

Silence.

The venue fell into an awkward stillness as everyone stared at the oversized chair in confusion.

Even the host, a seasoned emcee with five years of experience hosting this competition, was caught off guard. He stood frozen for a moment, unsure how to respond.

"Ahem… Contestant Tetsu, um… about your jutsu…" the host finally managed to stammer.

"Clone Techniques are meant to confuse the enemy. My technique combines the Clone Technique with Transformation Jutsu for enhanced deception!" Tetsu explained proudly.

"But… why a chair?" the host asked, unable to suppress his curiosity.

"Because chairs are easy to transform into. I can't change into anything more complicated yet," Tetsu admitted honestly.

The audience erupted into laughter. What initially seemed like the arrival of a prodigious talent turned out to be something entirely different.

"This kid's something else!" Asuma exclaimed, chuckling despite himself.

Muketsu sighed internally. He had told Tetsu to start simple and perfect the basics first, but he hadn't expected this.

"Teacher Muketsu, are all Academy students like this nowadays?" Asuma asked, struggling to contain his amusement.

"Actually, for a first-year student, his combination of Clone and Transformation Techniques is pretty advanced," Muketsu replied objectively, defending his student.

Hearing this, Asuma's perspective shifted. Tetsu wasn't a ninja—just a first-year student. For his level, he was indeed performing well.

"I see. As expected, Teacher Muketsu, you see past the surface," Asuma said, suddenly feeling superior to the other audience members who were still laughing.

Meanwhile, Izumo had fallen silent. He was just glad he hadn't participated; his school life would have been over if something like this had happened to him.

"Let's see the judges' scores. Tetsu Hagane has received a total of twelve points! The concept of his technique is excellent, and with more refinement, it could earn much higher scores in the future," the host announced.

"I'll keep working hard to improve this technique, along with my good friends Izumo Kamizuki and Anko Mitarashi," Tetsu said with a big smile, deliberately naming his friends in full.

Hearing murmurs from the crowd about the names, Izumo turned pale. If this reputation spread, he'd never find a girlfriend.

"Next, let's welcome Contestant #3, Uchiha Tetsuya!"

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!"

Tetsuya wasted no time. He performed the hand signs with impressive speed, unleashing a large fireball nearly as tall as himself.

"As expected from a young member of the Uchiha clan—mastering such a powerful jutsu before even graduating!" the host exclaimed in admiration.

"Even among Genin, being able to use this jutsu is commendable," one of the judges noted while giving a high score.

The other judges nodded in agreement, awarding similarly high scores.

"Twenty-six points! Uchiha Tetsuya takes the lead with an impressive score of twenty-six!" the host announced enthusiastically.

With a calm expression, Tetsuya stepped down from the stage. "Shisui, what did you think of my Fireball Jutsu?" he asked.

"It's clear you've put in the effort to refine it," Shisui replied tactfully. He had been on his way to meet Obito but ended up running into Tetsuya and a few other clan members.

While Tetsuya's Fireball Jutsu was impressive, Shisui doubted it would secure first place. He had seen Obito's Fireball Jutsu and knew its power.

"Now, let's welcome Contestant #4, Uchiha Obito, to the stage!"
