Hokage : My Nine tails are getting more and more

Chapter 49: Chapter 49: Attack on Danzo

Haruno Sakura straightened her back and proudly declared, "Dad, what did you say? How could I possibly commit robbery?"

Her father, visibly startled, replied, "It's not robbery, but... you can't just..."

Haruno Sakura cut him off, "No, of course not! Let me explain."

She went on to explain everything—how she and Naruto had been working together to take and sell photos of Sasuke. Over the course of a month, they had earned more money than she could ever have imagined. The once innocent-looking photos of Sasuke had become wildly popular in the village, and Haruno Sakura had created the designs herself.

Her father, after hearing the full story, went silent for a moment, but then, to her surprise, he simply smiled with pride.

"Isn't it amazing?" he muttered to himself. "These young people today, so quick to get rich... I had to work all my life to barely get by."

But Haruno Sakura's mother had a different reaction. Her expression darkened as she listened. She knew more than she let on, and after hearing about the photos, she felt like she was seeing a side of her daughter she hadn't known existed. In fact, she was one of the many collectors of Sasuke's photos. The way these photos were designed was hardly innocent—it was clear that Haruno Sakura had an almost obsessive artistic approach to creating them. Her mother, deep in thought, realized she didn't truly understand her daughter.

After their profits were divided, Naruto and Haruno Sakura dissolved their company. Naruto, uninterested in further profits, didn't care to stay involved. With the money they'd made, he had enough to live comfortably for the rest of his life.

However, the massive earnings they'd accumulated didn't go unnoticed for long. Naruto was summoned to the Hokage's office by Sarutobi Hiruzen. Sarutobi was, as usual, smoking his pipe as Naruto entered.

"Naruto, you're still young. With all that money in your hands, you might not know how to spend it wisely," Sarutobi began.

Naruto, smiling mischievously, replied, "So you want me to keep it somewhere safe?"

Sarutobi's expression grew serious as he continued, "The village's funds have been running low recently..."

Naruto, feigning concern, responded, "Really? That's truly unfortunate."

Sarutobi paused, waiting for Naruto to offer some help. But Naruto didn't respond. Sarutobi waited, and after a long silence, Naruto spoke again.

"Since the village needs money, I have a suggestion," Naruto said with a sly grin. "As for the inheritance my parents left me, I can wait three months before collecting it. This will be my contribution to Konoha. Long live the Will of Fire!"

Sarutobi stared, dumbfounded.

Naruto bowed politely and, with a wave, added, "Hokage-sama, I'll pick it up in three months. I hope by then, the village's finances will be better."

Before Sarutobi could respond, Naruto turned and walked out, leaving the Hokage speechless.

Sarutobi couldn't believe his ears. He had hoped for Naruto's help, but instead, Naruto had deftly avoided giving him anything.

But before Sarutobi could process it, Danzo arrived, storming into the room.

"Sarutobi," Danzo began, his voice sharp and accusing, "Uzumaki Naruto has secretly sealed the Nine Tails back into his body and is hiding it. He has bad intentions!"

Sarutobi's face hardened. "Danzo, don't make accusations without evidence. Naruto hasn't shown any signs of hostility towards the village."

Danzo scoffed, "That's exactly why you've failed, Sarutobi. Jinchūriki need to be controlled, or this will happen again!"

Sarutobi said nothing, knowing Danzo was right about one thing: the situation with Naruto was delicate. But if Sarutobi had the choice again, he would still oppose Danzo's interference. His loyalty to Minato and his promise to Naruto was something he couldn't compromise.

The two old men faced off, but just as their argument was heating up, Naruto reappeared.

Sarutobi's expression shifted. "Naruto, why are you back?"

Naruto scratched his head in feigned embarrassment. "Well, I heard someone was plotting against me, so I thought I'd come check on things."

Naruto's gaze fixed on Danzo, and the older man shuddered involuntarily.

Naruto, with no malice in his eyes, smiled. But Danzo couldn't shake the feeling that he was being watched by something far more dangerous than the young boy before him. He had no idea that Naruto had already figured out his role in everything.

"I don't understand," Naruto said, his voice deceptively calm. "Why do we have to fight? We live in the same village. Can't we just get along?"

Danzo's lone visible eye narrowed, but he remained silent. He knew, however, that he had been playing a dangerous game for too long.

"You don't control me," Naruto thought silently, watching Danzo, "You're the one who's behind it all."

Danzo then turned to Sarutobi, speaking with venom in his voice, "You see, Sarutobi, Jinchūriki can no longer be controlled. You've failed."

Without waiting for a response, Danzo continued, "Now, Uzumaki Naruto, I give you two choices. First, hand over the 200 million silver taels you earned. Or second, hand over the Nine Tails."

Naruto's smile didn't falter. He looked at Danzo with a mix of amusement and disbelief. "I'm sorry, Danzo-sama, but I'll go with option three."

In an instant, Naruto blurred into motion. A sharp, whistling sound echoed through the room as he appeared directly in front of Danzo. Before anyone could react, Naruto's fist connected with Danzo's wrapped eye, sending him reeling backward with a scream.

Sarutobi's eyes widened in shock. He couldn't believe what he had just witnessed. Naruto—his old student, the young Jinchūriki—had attacked Danzo with terrifying speed. Sarutobi hadn't even seen him move.

The movement was so fast, even Sarutobi couldn't react in time. It wasn't the Flying Thunder God technique; it was the standard Body Flicker, but performed at such a high level with Naruto's overwhelming chakra that it created a sonic boom as he moved.

Danzo, now kneeling on the ground, pressed his hand to his bloodied eye, his face contorted in pain. He snarled through gritted teeth, "You dare attack me, Naruto? Do you see now? The Jinchūriki is beyond your control!"

Sarutobi felt his chest tighten. He had always been wary of Danzo, but now he saw just how far Danzo was willing to go. Despite Sarutobi's pleas for peace, Danzo had taken matters into his own hands.

Naruto, unbothered, merely shook his head. "We're all living in the same village. Why make things harder than they have to be?"

Sarutobi didn't know what to say. He had hoped to avoid confrontation, but now, it seemed as though Naruto had chosen his side. A dangerous side, but his side nonetheless.

With a final glance at Danzo, Naruto turned and walked away, leaving the Hokage and Danzo to deal with the consequences. But one thing was certain: Danzo's time in the shadows was running out.
