Xu Kaib dragged Cheng Xiao to his studyroom and pushed her inside and closed the door.

"What is the meaning of this?" She asked trying to go and open the door.

He grabbed her hand and pulled her back.

"Let's talk!" He said staring down at her.

"There is nothing to talk about." She said pushing him aside.

"Cheng Xiao don't test my patience." He said pulling her closer.

"Xu Kai let me go." She said trying to break free.

"Let you go? Never." He said and dragged her to the sofa.

He pushed her down on the sofa and sat her down.

"Your vacation ends now." He spoke.

"It's not a vacation if I have already quitted." She replied stubbornly.

"See this your attitude I don't want to see." He said squatting down to her level so their face was up close.

"Sir it's dinner time." A maid knocked on the door and announced.

She took the opportunity and pushed him away and walked to the door before opening it. He walked behind her and as they descend the stairs his mother that watched them had a smile on her face. Although Cheng Xiao's family was not prosperous, she felt that no one suited her son better than her.

Although her son was a workaholic, all the blind dates they had set for him ended in him not showing or he ends up insulting him. She had given up hope of getting a daughter in law until Cheng Xiao started working as his secretary.

She had watched his previous secretaries resign or fired within a week, when Cheng Xiao managed to survive a mother, it had shocked not only her but the company as well. She watched years and years go by and soon seven years passed.

Seven years, she finally got the hope she needed and now she wanted to leave him. She was not going to let that happen.

"Xiaoxiao come and sit next to me." She said taking her hand.

"Kai sit next to her." She said to her son, trying to match them up.

"I'll sit opposite." She said and sat opposite Xu Kai.

'That's also good they can see each other when they lift their heads.' She thought to herself.

"Cheng Xiao why did you leave my son's company." Mr. Xu asked her.

"I wanted to become a designer." She replied.

"Designer?" He asked in confusion.

"Yes, I majored in designing." She replied taking a bite of the pasta.

"Wow, with the way you write the business notes and presentation it is like you majored in business management." He replied impressed.

"But why did you get hired his secretary in the first place, we had positions available that time." He asked.

"His secretary quitted that day, and I made coffee, and he liked it and was hired up on that." She replied.

"So why wait for seven years?" He asked again.

"Not yet, but my mother set me up on a blind date, and he is really good." She replied.

Xu Kai started coughing when she said that she went on a date.
