Chapter 343: Your full potential
I looked at the two small Spirit Kings with confused looks before asking in a suspicious voice, "What do you mean by this?"
The two small Spirit Kings just looked at me for a bit before saying, "You're capable of contracting far more spirits. It seems like your spirit affinity is unlike any other high elf that we've seen before. It's just that you haven't gone to the right place to form a connection with those spirits of other elements."
"Huh?" I couldn't help looking even more confused when I heard this.
I also peeked at Sylpha to see if she knew what they were talking about, but it was clear by the dazed look on her face that she had no idea at all.
Since she had no idea either, I asked the two small Spirit Kings, "What do you mean by this?"
One of them said, "The Tree of Life that you high elves protect are good conduits, but they aren't the best. They can only form so many connections before they are overloaded."
"To push yourself to your full potential, you need to find things that have spirit affinity that will help you form even more connections with the spirit realm. Only then will you be able to bring out your full potential and form more contracts." The other one said.
All of this just completely flew over my head as I had no idea what they were actually talking about.
It was just that it didn't seem like they made a mistake with this based on the expressions that they had. It seemed that they were very certain of what they were talking about.
But that just made me even more confused.
I had never heard of anything like this when this world was a game…
Then again, there were many things that I had never encountered when this world was a game that I was encountering now that I thought about it. It seemed like there were all kinds of different things that were going differently from how this world should have been in the game…
The more that I thought about it, the more certain I was of what the Spirit Kings said.
But even then, it wasn't as if I knew what to do about this.
The Spirit Kings could see the look on my face, so it seemed like they pitied me.
"Go and search out the Clear Water Spring. That place will help you build an affinity with spirits, especially those that are water attributed."
I couldn't help raising a brow to look at the two Spirit Kings after they said this, but it didn't seem like they had much time left as they were becoming more and more faint. It seemed like it was only a matter of time before they completely disappeared.
So before they could disappear…
"Is there anything else that I should know?"
The two Spirit Kings looked at each other before they suddenly started laughing.
"Child, it's not as if we know everything."
"We've already given you all the clues that we should give, the rest is up to you."
The way that they said this got on my nerves a bit, but there was nothing that I could do about it since they were already disappearing.
When it was all over, they disappeared without a trace.
At the same time, the spirit fragments that had been there also disappeared without a trace. It seemed that all of the power inside of the spirit fragments had been burned by these two Spirit Kings.
Once it was over, I turned to look at Sylpha once more.
She just shook her head as soon as she saw me look over and said, "I don't know anything. I have no idea what they are talking about at all."
I had already figured that this was the case with the way that she acted earlier as the Spirit Kings said this.
Though I had been hoping that she would have just a little bit more information.
Since she didn't know anything, it wasn't as if I could force her to give me more information.
So instead, I looked at Pyro and Aero and said, "How are you feeling? Do you need to rest?"
The two of them shook their heads and even flexed their arms as if they were ready to go at any time. But since they had just evolved, it didn't feel right to push them right away.
So patting them on the head, I said, "Go and get some rest first. We'll test your power later."
The two of them didn't argue against this and then disappeared without a trace.
Once they were gone, I said to Sylpha, "You should go back to Fae."
Sylpha looked at me with a strange look, but she gave a nod in the end.
When she was gone, I said in my mind, "Can you get me some things that have spirit affinity or increase spirit affinity?"
"What do you mean by that?" Rothschild asked in a confused voice.
With a thought, I sent over a record of everything that happened with the Spirit Kings to not just him, but also the rest of the avatars.
After a moment of silence, he said, "Leave it to me, I'll see what I can find."
I didn't say anything in response since there was no need for that between us.
"The Tree of Life is limited? I've never heard anything about that before." I couldn't help saying to myself.
The Tree of Life was the place where spirit contracts were formed in the game, but it seemed that this wasn't the best place in this world.
There were other places where spirit contracts could be formed, but they weren't as good as the Tree of Life.
But even if that was the case, it seemed like it was worth going to see them.
After all, the Clear Water Spring that they mentioned was indeed one of those places.
